But this is a problem that could be easily fixed, the words “straight away” are what’s causing the confusion.
Just two little words in the game’s text. They changed the wording of some other messages in the latest patch, so why not this one as well, especially when it’s arguably the one that’s been complained about the most?
I apologize if I come off as a “Negative Nancy,” but I’ve played the game every day since the live launch (not to mention that I was a beta tester way back when), and I do genuinely love the game.
It looks gorgeous, it’s fluid, the music is great, I like the multiplayer aspects and the various items you can unlock
I just worry that false advertising (as well as not fixing it right away) and over-monetization are going to be its downfall.

The best advice I can give is to do it with another person. Then you can each play bait. If one of you gets spotted, you can fly off, while the other stays with the spirit, then regroup.
There's also a cheat using the Meditate emote to get rid of krill, let me find it again

Oh. Or u can just take your time, but yes it might be easier with another person. Sometimes they can be the back up to catch the spirit ur guiding in case u drop it.
I think it’s the playing dead emote but it’s not a guarantee way I heard

I've helped with it enough times by now that I mostly know the dragon's patterns and where to hide
I'd say the second and third "checkpoints" are the trickiest
If you're patient you can do it without baiting
but it definitely takes practice, still the most difficult seasonal imo

Ok but what the actual heck. I was at the meditation stone then some jerk summoned the krill and one saw me so i ran behind the rock and it was still locked onto me and got me and I lost three stars. Im getting really tired of these glitchy krill.

Someone activated them, I just happened to enter the room. I was lucky enough to dodge all the krill til i got to the gate and BAM cutscene. Then I see a krill swoop in on me. Nothing I could do.

There is clearly something wrong with that cutscene, because it seems to be triggered by a player just entering the zone close to the dais. Many times there aren't even visible other players there. I hope they find a way to fix that soon.
I have found that the safest way is to either a) approach from the air straight ahead, so that you can keep skipping until you reach the door (you can see yourself in some of the cut scene footage, tak advantage of that) or b) approach from the side, so that you are hidden behind one of the pillars on the side. There are safe-ish places to hide. The trick is to not get caught during the cut scene.

Sometimes cutscenes are horrific with obstacles in the way. Sometimes you are but a size of pebble and only indication of your location is the red circle from krill.. and at that point its too late. The only cutscenes that matter are the ones that are struggle to finding where you are.

FYI: if you ever meditate before talking to the seasonal spirit it doesn’t count... but if you delete your message (tap center candle, tap candle with slice through it at the top of the screen) it will reset and you can do the meditation.

@loud socket The auto emotes are great in a subvertent context, the game breaths more life even when players are standing still because of it. While it may be considered as annoying at times, I think players are less likely to leave the game when being around afk players because of that.
TLDR; it has a subconscious effect that makes the game still look lively even when no one is running around

Finding seasonal candles:
Step 1: find the arch quest giver is standing in front of. Go into that arch
Step 2: find where the seasonal spirit is in that level.
Step 3: after locating the spirit, look around the room. If you hit a loading screen you have gone too far. go back. There are four special candle bunches. Find all four
Except wasteland is a bit different. If you hit a long sandy slide it’s too far

@viral blade the final seasonal items (like the branched off items and the very top item) is only accessible via the pass. Anything on the main branch can be bought by anyone with or without the pass. It just takes a little longer.
