If you refresh the area so theres no skids and start a spirit, it prevents server merges in a similar fashion to red shards

Huh. Useful. Usually I do that in order to be able to relive a spirit for a daily because when others are around, those Darkness Plants trapping the memory are honking impossible to burn.

In my experience with dye runs, I personally don't see myself capping every dyes every day, if I capped some it's just I'm on a lucky rotation and yet I don't literally see a point of capping everything when you consider dyeing requirement numbers for the cosmetics are pretty small for each ones. So...I feel like there's a need to take it easier and do dye runs as much as you can and don't push yourself ^^ thats all I can advise

I never capped yellow but I have like 36 rn (I barely use it in fact xD and that's ok, there's just so many reds and yellows in prairie anyways)

Genuinely tho. What makes you feel the need to cap everything? Like all dyes every day. I think it can be too much for your wellbeing ^^ like candles you don't need to grey cr every day either, just 3 chevrons becoming 0 is enough on your savings

I just see people showing their dye collection after capping everything and that's like...you're encouraging maxing them all out when it's not necessary and not everyone can do this

For holding hands, yes you can do a quest with a spirit. For example, the nesting quest at forest end, the nesting house party, and there's probably more that I can't think of

Why can we only paint an item twice? I mean I would like to save 5-6 different colors for a cape. If I spent time collecting so many colors, deleting one and painting the other is a waste of our time. It would be great if they increased these 2 saves, at least 5 saves would be nice.

They did have 5 saves in beta at one point. It would cause the game to crash and be unplayable, so they removed it

It used to have 5-8 slots in beta but that caused a terrible crash issue that virtually nobody could log in beta to test it out. So these 2 slots are only what the game can handle

the emote should have the butterflies land on your hand, and that gives you the dye. if there are colored butterflies that won't land on your hand, you can deep honk to make them fly to you

That's nice! I said that mainly bc I'm concerned that people actually try to max everything out and then complain about how grindy it is when considering the daily cap, the 99 dye max as well as very low required dyes per clothes (at most it uses up to 4 jars per dye for one part each if I'm not wrong), the dye "grind" isn't all that necessary so it's different from candles. I wanted to remind everyone to take it easy if it's gotten too much for them xD as long as you're having fun it's great

Dyes are 24/7 and not like TS or limited event stuff or what not so there's literally zero time pressure

Usually I use prairie lighting because the auto selected one ends up making the colors looking wildly different.. and I get a more true color with that.. I also know that I have a much wider color spectrum that I personally see.. so that probably doesn't help when it comes to very subtle differences in color that seem massive to me 🤣🤣

Thats why there's a lever, you can check how your outfit looks like in realms in other lighting modes after deciding a colour combo (don't dye it yet, but remember the combo at least)

I had to learn the hard way too, that the light is really bright on the dye station. If you walk a little ways away from the tarp and turn around the shadow is a little more, it seems closer to what the color will usually look like

To me it would be more interesting if each realm had dye based on the color of the Enchantment light that appears in it. So to Prairie would be green and cyan (since Isle serves no purpose in the game, and the Cyan Light appears on the border between Isle and Prairie), orange to Hidden Forest (although there is no orange dye, so they could be white and black), Blue to Valley, Red to GW, Purple to the Vault, and black and white spread around all the realms.

Hm would sometimes go to a higher place and scout for the big ones or if a merge happens, to spot the swarm of butterflies. Using a camera could be useful, or having your friends as extra set of eyes

Also after doing some dye runs, I've noticed that a lot of times the dye plants in a rough specific areas so it's easy to predict where they're likely to appear in the area

But what makes it less "grindy" is to stick on the main cr paths and get dyes as you go about your usual cr ^^ I don't feel the need to cap everything personally

Tricky vines often respond to a deep call, just enough to show you where you can start burning the ends of the vines. It's very useful.

Also, there are places where you can burn the vines but not collect the butterflies. Like the steps leading up to the place with all the machinery. You can do the 'attract butterflies' gesture and they never quite land in your hand. But once again, if you stand where the butterflies are and deep call, they'll come to you.

I am in a dye rotation research project with dozens of players. This project wanted to find out something similar regarding whites dye involved. The project logged approximately 4000+ data points on average in 2 weeks (which included all colors of prairie) with the help of AI but no pattern was found yet. I guess the same thing will apply to black dye as well, it's coded somehow but in a very complex way.

When someone Deep Calls while the butterflies are responding to the Butterfly Emote, the butterflies prioritize the Deep Call. However, because they never completed the Emote, they can't restart the Emote, and therefore can only respond to Deep Calls.
