Being a gratitude veteran I was desperate for more masks surrounding mythology, so my entire season is based around that. Sitting on a shield in the vault, Hikari wrote her notes down, looking up at the light shining down. Everyone was up and moving, exploring the realms again for their usual runs. She recalled a few going to the archives, but everyone else either ascended through the vault or returned to the home isle.

It took her some time, but Hikari found herself becoming more and more acquainted with the ones that devoted to their spare time to figuring out what happened to the world they were exploring, especially Eden. Even now, that place scared her. It gave her the occasional nightmare.

Hikari couldn't help but sigh as she removed her mask briefly to fan her face. She never understood why she and everyone else had to wear masks. Actually, she wasn't sure if the topic was previously discussed. Maybe tonight, she could bring it up.

Either way, it didn't really matter. Right now, she needed some air.

Hikari couldn't help but stare at her reflection in the water. The morning sun was nice was to feel at the home isle and the gentle breeze too. But she was focusing on her reflection. Seeing the pale coloration of her eyes without her mask was a rather strange thing to experience. They were were a light gold color. She could see the ends of her ponytail try to frame her face. She smiles softly before putting her mask back on. Back to exploring for her.

Based on the vault conversation in lore discussion earlier today

Something didn't feel right in the vault, Hikari realized as she jogged towards the elevator. She was curious, examining the broken stone before heading to the lanterns to light them.

Seeing the diamond's sudden restoration should've been a clue to what wasn't right, but she knew she had to keep going.

So she climbed onto the elevator and began to meditate. As her breathing slowed, she felt the elevator rise until it stopped. She opened her eyes to see a new floor. Looking up, she realized that the stone was dull. She understood what she had to do.

Every floor, steadily getting higher and higher. It didn't occur to her that she felt... lighter, in some way.

When she reached the top, and took the spirit mantas, she felt so light, she couldn't help but laugh happily, enjoying the flight until she landed on the floating island.

The curiosity returned full force when she saw the saw the elders' statues along with the vault elder's. And how the wasteland elder's statue was cracked.

She meditated in front of them. It was a sight to behold, if she could be honest. Having all of the elders before her.

The rumbling was what caught her off guard, making her wake up and stumble backwards, landing on her back as she fell off the elevator.

She was suddenly back on the ground floor. But how? Did she somehow fall asleep while meditating? Hikari looked around as she stood. Everything looked destroyed, just like how she first entered the vault.

It was like the grim reality had of the wasteland had claimed the vault. And she, along with many, many others didn't have that first impression.

As Hikari watched a stone slab rise up, allowing entry to Eden, she felt a cold feeling wash over her. Whatever happened wasn't good. She could only wonder how many people had truly let the ruined vault sink in and wake them up to reality.
