I’m sewing my pants because the waist didn’t fit me, and so the pattern on this is quite playful and it got me thinking: patterns like these but in different hues in the cape color you wear. It wouldn’t be too disturbing but a nice touch and thus won’t “take over the game”

Sorry to interrupt whatever is going on with this pineapple pizza thing, but I’m making my cosplay and though I would share. (I don’t have enough hearts in game to buy the purple cape yet so I just made it myself.) For those who are curious, the I used felt as the purple and white fabric and the dress I got from Target for $30 (so expensive but worth it) Joanne fabrics had REALLY good prices for the felt so I’m going to go back and buy some more to make more capes.

@molten vector It won't stay up but what I've done is either pin the ends to my sleeve and the back to my collar, or just hold the end of the cape.

With a bit of plastic tubing and a string through it. You could line the top edge with it and adhere the string to the tips of the cape. Figuring out where to have the other end of the string to make it taut. You could have a functioning wing cape. There’s some cosplay tutorials on making wings on YouTube that has the basic idea.

Nice flow, the weight of the fabrics seem right. If you wanted more light and flowy, maybe a lighter top fabric? Are you keeping the two layers separate at the lower hem?

Ill be seperating out the red and white feathers at the bottom, individually hemming both by machine
(Once i can get it fixed)
Other than that, im using a linen top layer thats super smooth and flowy over a curtain bottom layer

ill see what i can do to decoratively hand hem along my arms too and a bit of the back of the cloak, but ill machine line below that to reinforce it once its ready and done
this might take me a week or two of work but im literally just wearing it right now as we speak
so its totally doable on its own.
