  • Additional Info: I updated both my steam Linux runtime and my sky application after my game crashed twice earlier today, and it still happened afterwards.

  • Bug Description: I can't login to my old Sky account because the game freezes and stops responding when I select the logging into an existent account button.
  • Additional Info: After a while of not using Sky, I reinstalled it and tried to log back into my account of three years. When I pressed the logging in method, it freezed and the game stopped responding (although I could still hear the ambience noises)

So I tried clearing both data and cache. It didn't work... And now it freezed when I said No to the 'Are you new to Sky' question at the start. I waited for about 15 minutes for it to unfreeze and then I gave up.
I hope the devs fix this soon... I miss my accounts...

My candle meter is consistent with the amount of wax I collected earlier today. When I approach the candles, the wax is collected but does not add to the amount in the meter.

Or rather, I can light their stars in my constellation, but a minute or two later they appear unlit again and they arenever shown as online anymore. For three of them, I thought that was because they might have stopped playing completely and maybe even deleted their account, but for one friend where it started to happen recently (I nicknamed them. "Merle") I am 100% sure that they are still playing. I see the outfit of their skykid change when I click on their constellation star, but if I try to light their star or send them a heart, it resets after a few minutes. I also never see them shown as online anymore. If you can, please fix this. I do not have any other contact information for this friend, other than sky.
  • Additional Info: The first thre friends this started to happen with, stayed unlit after I took a long break from sky (multiple seasons) so I figured they stopped playing as well. The last one (Merle) stopped lighting up a few weeks ago for no reason. I assume that is a bug at least? The only other option I thought might be plausible is, that they removed me from their friend list, but if that was the case then why does the game not tell me that and leave me in this Limbo state? So I assume this is a bug.

server splits are pretty normal, but this is really excessive and made attending geyser difficult. i even missed burning a round of darkness because of an extremely untimely merge.

i expect to be able to play the game with only a few server splits every now and then.

When I am at the Hidden Forest temple, after the cutscene, the spirits I have collected get stuck and I cannot move on or complete the area progression.

How to reproduce:

  1. Go to the Hidden Forest temple
  2. Trigger the temple cutscene
  3. After the cutscene ends, the collected spirits become stuck and progression stops

Troubleshooting attempted:
I tried returning to Aviary Village and teleporting back to the temple to trigger the cutscene again, but the issue still happens every time.

Sometimes the screen freezes, and naught can be done for myself, but I can still see other people moving around.

This happens on my sister’s device as well, which is about the same amount of old/a year older than mine.

  • Additional Info: Please look into optimizing the game for devices older than 5 years old. My device runs fine doing anything else. Of course, it has aged, but it runs sky perfectly fine. No lag or anything, yet it will sometimes do this sudden freeze. Please fix this, I don’t want to have to stop playing Sky :(

  • I have been playing since 2022 and was able to play at 60 FPS without these issues.

  • The problem began only after May 10, 2026.

  • I have already tried reinstalling the game, clearing the cache, lowering graphics and FPS settings, restarting the device, and switching internet connections.

  • The same issue also occurred when tested on a Samsung Galaxy S24.

  • Additional Info: Additional clues that may help:

  • I have been playing Sky: Children of the Light since 2022, and I have never experienced crashes or portal freezing like this before.

  • My Motorola Moto G22 (Android 12) has always been able to run the game smoothly, including at 60 FPS.

  • The issue started suddenly after May 10, 2026.

  • The problem occurs consistently in multiple portals, including Old Home, and sometimes in other areas as well.

  • Recorded messages from other players and friends do not load or play.

    Look at the emotes located in tier 4 and use one of them.
    Result: Avatars are glitched and overlapping strangely, and all emotes fail to work correctly.
    Expected Result: The entire friendship tree UI should display correctly, and all emotes should function normally.
  • Additional Info: All I can add is that this only applies to the 4th tier emotes, and from my observations, it doesn't only apply to the "carry in arms" emote. It works fine, but everything else is broken. And not just with one friend, but with all the friends with whom I've leveled up the friendship tree, the same emotions are broken.

    When I request another player to ride my plushy mount and we use it for a while, the other player sometimes gets stuck in one place from their perspective. Their Sky kid appears frozen, while on my screen it still shows that they are riding the plushy normally.

This issue seems to happen randomly, but it may be triggered when entering another realm while using the plushy mount.

To reproduce:

  1. Use a plushy mount with another player riding it.
  2. Travel around or enter another realm.
  3. Sometimes the rider becomes stuck/frozen from their perspective, while the mount owner still sees them riding normally.

The only temporary fix is to stop using the plushy while still piggybacking the other player.

  • Additional Info: This bug happens occasionally, not every time , but often enough to become frustrating during normal gameplay.

Result: The sound effects for successfully collecting the parts of the memory were replaced with the sounds that play when progressing in a challenge shared space (collecting a coin or hitting a target). The memory finish sound was replaced with the challenge completed sound.

Expected Result: Spirit relive sequences should always use their normal sound effects for successful progression.

That is because I like to claim everything in one go, so I was saving up the event tickets and also saving money so I could do that at the end of the event. Now I am going to miss everything, so the only thing I can hope for is these ticket items and IAP return next year.

Another problem is this makes me afraid that I won't be able to get all of the seasonal rewards, even though I purchased a season pass.

And not only that but most the items I've bought with ascended candles during the years I've been playing are also no longer owned by me, as if I never bought them on the first place!
    The ascended candles balance was First under -150 and whenever I earn ascended candles (eden or shard events) it just adds the amount of candles to the negative (ie: I had -150 before shard, and after shard it went to -148)
    And the items that I used to have before the big can be seen displayed in my best normally but nowhere to be found in the menus or inventory of my skykid
    Steps to reproduce: Checking my balance on the different currencies to see the effect of the bug (should be at around -105 since I just did eden in hopes of trying to fix it), going to my nest to verify the objects that I'm supposed to be owning, then opening the menu to see there are no such items
    Result: the amount of candles, hearts, and season candles appear in normal amounts, while the number of ascended candles is at least below -100, the items are placed all around my nest in the ways that I've selected over the course of the years, yet there are no items in the menu and the items can't be removed from the nest or else they'll be lost.
    Expected results: I should have the ascended candles I've earned since the start of days of treasure (shards whenever I can, eden every week to an approximate of 15 per week since the start of the event), and I should be still owning all of these items that I've invested so much time and effort into getting!
