it all depends on the network connection, so, how are you hosting the bot ?

#

the connection matter, if you have a bad wifi and you host your bot on a computer on that wifi => bad connection, even for bots

#

get an ethernet cable, or get a proper VPS

Need to run your bot 24/7? Get a cheap VPS.

Self-hosting: Free hosting: Kinda free:
Any computer. No. Not even heroku. GCP, AWS have one year free micros.

Cheaper:

https://www.contabo.com/ EU/US (slow I/O & internet speed)
https://www.netcup.eu/ Germany (quality servers, requires ID verification)
https://www.fastpipe.io/ Germany (combahton, if hetzner isn't an option for you)

if you dont have enough money for a vps (i get that, i feel you) you can work with what you have currently, but getting IP bans or connection issues will be normal

#

i would recommend getting a raspbery pi or similar and self-hosting if you can (electricity is usually cheaper depending on where you live) or the cheap vps might work
