This is OI: https://youtube.com/shorts/TTMyRpH0KZk?si=opjHI3eKWb09hGj6

It is an organic brain computing system. Imagine if one of these was hooked up to Neuro. Or possibly even more than one. Do you think Vedal would ever do that? That he should do that? That it's even possible?

Cortical Labs have created a living computer that uses human neurons to process information, and it's already on the market. The CL1 is the world's first biological computer that allows you to deploy code, and could pave the way to better understanding how we develop knowledge as a species.

so basically a human brain cell hooked up to a computer?

Okay hear me out..

#

This is a sure way towards Synthetic Brain for AI

#

And since it uses actual human living tissue

#

Organic matter..

#

It can develop emotions and ultimately sentience

#

Because what is depicted in that video is a brain that is in development

we can finally make her wish come true

we should empty our bank accounts and sell our organs so we can afford this stuff

Yeah okay..
Synthetic Intelligence is still notna path towards sentience or consciousness.. Because neurons alone doesnt form a full brain.. Makes sense..

#

But its better than ChatGPT and other AIs that run on huge ass databases and basically consume over hundreds of thousands of watts..

Of electricity

Either way, it'd be interesting to see Neuro connected to one.

One CL1 biological computer is 35K

#

And has 800k neurons at your disposal

This is has been talked about multiple times, organoids are technically less advanced than an AI, relying on them would just mean downgrading Neuro. You'd basically need a full brain in a ideal environment to develop emotions. The thing is, you can easily emulate emotion digitally (up to a point), and it would probably be easier than with organoids. What neurons are used for, as far as I understood, is add a bit more randomness and a slow but natural adaptability to change.
