#Subathon feedback

as we enter the last day I just wanted to give some personal feedback that others might agree with idk.
so it's been great but there have been a couple of things lacking namely people calling into the 'just chatting' segments, idk if they were told to stay out this year or just nobody has felt like it, if the former then imo that was a mistake if the latter then idk just bad timing I guess.

The other big thing I feel is missing is integrating the merch sales with the timer as the drop is directly tied to the subathon imo the sales should add to the timer in some way, I also thought this last year with the lava lamp but at least we got an extra 24 hours once the goal was met that time.

other than that it's been a great watch but there's been so little of the twins interacting with collab partners outside of the few scheduled collabs and I personally miss that from last year.

also the discussion tag is missing? so I guess I'm using the suggestion tag.. I guess it is a suggestion for the 2026 neurothon.

I think last year's huge amount of collab partners was kind of an outlier for a couple of reasons, first and foremost because Minecraft integration was the big thing at the time and that's easy collab content, and secondarily because Vedal has said he didn't plan though content and basically had to lean heavily on collab partners to carry the subathon which probably feels bad.

I do think maybe it was a bit overcorrected in the opposite direction though, I would have liked to see a few more low key collabs during chill segments and it would've been cool to see more people hop on the Minecraft world so it could develop some more.

I do feel like the pacing and content distribution was far, FAR better last year. Many different people, lots of fun convos, a variety of content, and The Long Drive which ended up being a surprisingly satisfying filler and a good way to finish. It's especially strange when considering how this one was supposed to be planned out far better and with a proper schedule, rather than improvised.

This year we just got these huge blocks of games which kinda felt monotonous at times, especially combined with the sheer amount of either solo or 1 on 1 content. Even the colabs were fun, but didn't feel nearly as celebratory, outside the sleepover.

A part of me thinks that maybe the content and the games should have been mixed up a bit more, but I don't know if even that would have been enough to help the content variety. The Long Drive not making a comeback is a genuine shock, at least every few days as a small chance of pace, and another legendary finish.

I seriously hope the ending won't just be more gaming with just one of the twins, as much as I like Evil, because we've already had more than enough anticlimactic gaming content.

I don't mind the large blocks of gaming if they're interesting, cyberpunk was good, Pokémon became a slog and hollow knight is alright so far

Cyberpunk was definitely the highlight, but I did enjoy Pokemon for the most part too. Integrations are cool. It'd be nice if they had just a bit more time to cook though so they could be a bit less buggy and more fleshed out, like if Pokemon had a Neuro sprite and if her item context didn't seem to mess up so often

As for vedal feeling like he lent too much on the collabs for 2024 I kinda get that but also the wide variety of Collab partners and how both he and the twins interact with the others has made some of the best content

Oh also obviously vrchat was cinema I look forward to evil vrchat and eventual twins vrchat once evil has her own pc

i feel like the biggest missing thing for me would be some kind of overlay for the hypetrain level, for one sometimes the chat was bugging for me and on the other hand it would be better for people watching the vods too, like we are breaking records and the only way to actually see whats happening is not the vod but hopeing someone took a somewhat decend screencap of the moment

#

that goes for normal streams too btw, it would be nice seeing stuff like this when watching clips or vods of streams

I don't know if that's possible?

Content was pretty well condensed, a huge improvement from the past subathon which had a content issue due to how long it went for, i was entertained for almost all of it with good variety

Everything was very fun, only complaints would be Pokemon, but just because i dont find it to be a good stream game in general, the end could be improved by planning a finale or smth more special than running the current game, specially playing music

Overall a huge improvement over the past subathon even while holding it to a high standard due to the sheer amount of collabs we had there

I do think another than that can be improved is time planning, if the subathon had ended a week ago like planned they'd only be what half way through Pokémon? I don't even remember

It actually needed to be this long to begin with, with everything that was planned
