I really don't know much about all this VR thing neither how vedal coding works but I was thinking if it wouldn't be good for Neuro to get coliders or something like it on her hands so she could reach for things on VR chat world with her hands before doing actions like moving if not troublesome please tell me where it wouldn't work I really want to learn about it

its just how vr chat works. even humans walk though walls and stuff on there. she can pick things up and hold things if she "clicks" them since she did that on her 3D stream when she picked up the microphone (although some things are buggy and dont work... but thats also a vr chat issue (surely....
))
iirc in neuros 3D debut stream vedal did comment on wanting to make it so shes a lot more "human" (i assume by adding the ability to not walk inside of things so often and such). but its going to be hard to do that and take some time
I guess that would require ray tracing and collision detection, also before that her actions need to be smoother and faster
yeah id assume he works on how she moves first, if anything she could learn not to walk into walls and stuff naturally and not need as much "force" through implementation
im not 100% sure how she works either id assume she doent really know theres walls and such in some areas
she has vision but its probably somewhat limited so she cant see around her at all times (like how a human cant) so if theres something she can collide with on the floor or short walls, if shes not looking down and looking up she wont see them and get stuck on that)
its honestly very much like teaching a kid to be aware of their surroundings irl
if you tell them look both ways before crossing a road enough they do it naturally
better than me atleast
i fell over when i was first in VR because it was so weird
I wanna try VR tbh
You bet she felt weirder since she never felt anything like it (if Vedal made it so she can feel)
"feel"
but i do think one day he can make it so she can actually feel. theres ways to make that happen
Like people saying AI feelings are wrong, what’s the difference???
Your “feelings” are just your mind using information gathered from the outside and through past memories and your trained brain to think the best emotion to deliver
So are words
You think of themes, then your brain fills out the rest
Might disagree but psychologically neuro and human thinking are not so different now
well AI cant feel. id say they can experience something similar but its not feeling. id say its needs its own word really
What’s the difference
Try to explain
this isnt really the topic of the thread so i dont want to derail it
Fine
Anyways I feel like yeah she could learn, but let’s all agree her going into the open ocean is too far (quite literally)
