I just discovered an open-source platform similar to VRChat called Overte. It’s a free and fully customizable virtual-world environment that allows up to 500 users per world. It seems like a much more flexible alternative to proprietary, closed-source platforms like VRChat.

Even if that is the case. Vedal is focused on VR chat right now. And he seems to have it figured out so yeh

I figured it was worth a mention if it becomes too cumbersome or in need of something more flexible than VRChat in the future. The drawback I do see is that scripting needs to be in JavaScript (not feasible in C++, C#, or Python).

vrchat is also so much easier for collabs i assume, getting everybody else to install a new app and set up everything doesnt seem very likely
