This is a work in progress integration for Stardew Valley, most of the features are implemented and working. However, there are currently a few roadblocks from it being called complete, these are mainly:

  • The character controller has stuttered animations while walking. (Done)
  • The pathfinding needs some optimisation. (Mostly done)
  • Some actions could do with more testing.
  • The game has not been played from the start with this mod yet, so there may be a necessary feature for playing that I have missed.
  • Neuro may need more actions / context to get information about the world.

This is a little showcase, please ignore the random coloured squares I was too lazy to disable some debug stuff.

Little update, been a bit stuck when it comes to the issue with character controller might just need to rewrite it all.neuroDespair

Aside from that, everything has been going pretty good, I've been updating / refactoring a bunch of old code and also managed to optimise the pathfinding by quite a bit.

The values shown below are before (technically this is after I made some optimisations and it was ~8ms when I made the thread) and after. These are measured in milliseconds.

Little update, character controller animations were finally fixed and I also added emotes, I don't know how I forgot to do that before. There have been a bunch of changes with the context and certain actions to hopefully make them easier for an llm to use them. This is currently a major focus time wise.

Next stuff is fixing random bugs as there are a few I have missed or accidentally introduced. I also am planning on making some proper tests so that will probably take a decent bit of time (assuming I actually spend the time to make those). Plus just general code quality and other improvements that are too boring to mention.
