I've been enjoying listening to Evil's original song, Boom, so I decided to imitate the staging plot that I saw within the 3D video into Grand MA 2, which for those that don't know is the industry standard lighting console for concerts so if you had the proper lighting fixtures and console this could be run in real life.

Then I put it into its visualizer called MA 3D and made a few custom effects for the lights around the skull. Its very barebones right now, cause am still trying to get down all the effects that I want and will have to study the video more to know which ones I want to use, but for now im just happy knowing I can turn on all the lights.

The staging is pretty barebones cause didn't want to focus on the nitty-gritty and don't feel like making custom models but that can always be added later, same for some of the fixture types. Though I did add platforms, the skull and some "vans" for comedic effect.

I will probably program a Time-Code so will have the lights go along with the actual song and stuff later but this is just a passion project atm and I might have a lot of irl gigs that will take me away from this but we will see.

Once you're done with this, you NEED to bring it to Ved for the concert.

#

It will go so hard.

Haha. That would be cool, but unlikely. I would def want to go to the concert though. If anything I can just send him the file πŸ™‚β€β†”οΈ.

So, I made a little more progress with the animation testing. And before I start making looks and the general wash for the concert I wanted to get the animation of lights the skull down first.

Still a bit more to program into that animation though like making it so it ends by itself and goes back to the default look.

#

I just had the music in the back for vibes, not synced up at all atm but you know

Hmmm I am free for the weekend so I might work on this a bit more.
Also I will note, that I have actual irl fixtures on this theoretical concert. So, for the ground package right now I Robe Spiiders, which are a popular big flashy light.
But I think for this I will be switching them out for an Elation ACL 360 Matrix Panel. The reason for doing this is that they provide the same light, but with the 360 Panel, I can control the individual pixels on the fixture. And can spell out Evil or Neuro across the lights.
To Do List:

  • Replace Spiider with Matrix Panels.
  • Get general looks for the song.
  • Make a Cue List
  • maybe Time Code

I was able to do this inbetween deadlock games

#

nice little gimmick

#

Incase you wanted to see it without the video

#

And the pixels are controlled in the layout view, where i can pixelate anything

alrighttt, who else loves ADHD? i aint forget bout his just been gaming, well now i got the hard parts done (I feel atleast) with the plot being made and the special effects being made so now i am just making a cue sheet and time stamps as a guide for when I actually build the show and yuh.

#

learning as I go, considering im still an amatuer on big rigs

Will give it a bit of an update, been busy though went full time at my job.

Mostly the same, but I refined the animation spin I already had for the skull spots.

Added some blinder chase bump buttons. Then I will start working on the general looks.

Also unrelated to the boom but this is what I've been working on irl.

though I dont mind the way it looks atm, but it could look better not necessary though

#

Also, sorry for not seeing your message Ive been working the last few days πŸ’€

though, i know the twins got a lot of songs. so maybe instead of live programming for each individual song, could have it act like one of those music visualizers that react to the highs and lows of a song.

#

thats outside of my knowledge though

maybe might come back to it

I've been doing shows and how to actually sequence stuff properly.
So I'll be doing that and probably time coding.

Other than that. I've been pondering if I want to condense down the size of the 4 truss rig used in the music video down to three.
