I'm just looking at the KR fanbase, specifically on this video, https://youtu.be/ILiepBRrZDs?si=lsjAdwFC5G0ZJd86, even compared to our EN fanbase, they are quite big as well, granted, the clipper only posts every once in a while, but that's still a big amount of people tuning into a KR clipping channel for our AI overlords. Won't a channel for them be necessary?

plz yes theres many korean fans out here i belive

There’s a separate Korean streaming platform called Chzzk, and if he’d be open to it, it would be amazing if vedal could stream there as well. https://chzzk.naver.com/

Perhaps could work. The problem is the same as with Bilibili. Timezones are extremely late for korean peninsula

Theres' also those like me with completely messed up time-schedules that the timezones actually work neuroMahiro

#

( stream starts ~ 3 AM but I sleep at like ~ 5 AM )

There are also three more issues with adding another stream for a foreign language

First, Vedal is already having to manage three different streams at the same time to make sure they work correctly which takes time and effort which a fourth stream would require more of

Second, This would require Vedal to be familiar with his korean fanbase despite not knowing korean. This would also make it harder to follow the rules of whichever platform he streams on like chzzk for instance since bilibili has much different rules compared to twitch which has gotten him banned multiple times

Third, He would need staff like moderators and maybe even a community manager for the korean fanbase

young cargo
#

Yup, menager would be mandatory for that platform and that would take aditional time and effort to handle it

#

that's essentially how B2 operates

lucid ermine
#

I thought possibly a youtube stream would work, with auto-translations. Would have the benefit of opening up to not just the Korean fanbase.

#

ontop of those that don't use twitch.

young cargo
#

I wonder if setting up some APIs would work for YT but I digress

lucid ermine
#

The issue with Twitch is that, in some countries, its very restricted, like in Korea (cause they left) you cannot buy subs, watch vods, etc. Iirc some other countries also have these restrictions.

#

Hence, I'm hoping for a youtube stream someday.

lucid vapor
#

He considered Multistreaming on Youtube before but I forgot what his reason was for not doing it. One of the reasons might've been the terrible moderation tools for youtube but I'm not sure. And it would also add another stream he would have to manage in addition to the other three

lucid ermine
#

There'd ofc need to be a high demand for it, hence, some test streams or possibly polls might be helpfull.

young cargo
#

Youtube is already managed by J0ker to an extent, he'd just need another moderation team for streams

lucid ermine
#

And possibly extra if the auto translations are enabled (for Korean, for example), but yah.

Still. It would probably be easier to just add translated subtitles to the videos instead of running streams for each language seperately

#

It could have the potential for much bigger reach that way

lucid ermine
#

I agree it may be easier, but it is very limited and unreliable. A separate stream might help bring in a large group of viewers that otherwise are restricted.

In the end it really is up to Vedal, I'm just hoping for one seeing that it has been done with other languages. As long as it doesn't cause Vedal to stretch himself too far, it seems like a good idea for possible future growth.

Koreans can’t purchase things like subscriptions on Twitch anyway, so in the end it really depends on whether Vedal wants to monetize his Korean audience tbh

lucid ermine
#

yah, my sub was cut after twitch left, and I had a long sub streak NeuroBwaa

Running a korean stream on a different platform is a much bigger step than translated subs since the translator only needs to work a few hours whenever a video is released to translate it, whether it's 5 languages or 15 since seperate streams would get more and more unreasonable the more languages you add, unlike subtitles on a video. I wouldn't really hope for the former until we get the latter

untold ember
#

ok bro just let us cope neuroCopium

lucid ermine
#

I don't think translated subs will do much, I mean we have a clipper already and the main issue is monetization.

lucid vapor
#

Actually, something like how some clippers on youtube clip japanese vtubers and translate them for the english audience might work for Neuro steams as well. What do you think?

lucid ermine
#

wdym? You mean an official Korean clipping channel? (I don't really get it sorry)

untold ember
#

its already there??

lucid vapor
#

Is there already a fan channel doing that?

untold ember
#

yes?

#

lookup

lucid vapor
#

Ok nevermind then

lucid ermine
#

There were multiple, only one remains now iirc

#

And if ever none remain I'll probably pick it up, tho my translation skills are not the best I do have some editing experience.

untold ember
#

Aside from the channel mentioned above, there was also a channel that mainly clipped Hololive EN but started clipping Neuro as well. i think they made the Korean viewer base grow.

wispy wagon
#

but I'm not sure how many korean viewers will watch the stream too

#

maybe under 100? like jp

#

time zone issues

lucid vapor
#

Pretty sure korean viewers can still watch the stream. They just can't spend any money on it

wispy wagon
#

yes. unless vedal is streaming on YouTube or Chzzk

#

so there's not much hope neuroSad2

#

well, It seems like korean fan clip channels are more active and getting more attention than japanese ones though

#

I’m not sure if it’s enough to start a new stream for vedal

#

and I noticed vedal987_es is unused now neuroSob

#

but I just hope we can see korean stream one day...

#

If it’s not a big deal to vedal I mean

lucid ermine

and I wonder how accurate the auto translated sub would be lol
