Hi, wishing the best of lucks for all

I am really excited about you playing Outer Wilds since it's the best game I've experienced. I had a lot of fun watching the streams, but I do have some feedback:

  • You prolly noticed how information reliant Outer Wilds is for progress in the game. Neuro however, due to being Neuro, makes up stuff more than half the time, really distracts you with meaningless information. At the risk of sounding like an asshole, she even is a little annoying sometimes with the yapping (im sure youre used to that).

Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching your interactions with her, but I'm just saying that she isn't serving as a good commentator.

  • I have some suggestions for making this enjoyable for both people who have played or the sinners who haven't:
Make it so that you can only talk to Neuro when you are close to the ship or in the ship, this combined with the (awesome) Neuro auto pilot kinda makes it a spaceship version of the Neuro Car. That'll leave you with space to think when you are out exploring places (if you think that is too little content-able time, maybe you can bring in a collab partner who played the game, but id also enjoy seeing you think and solve puzzles in silence)

  • And a personal suggestion to make your own experience of the game more meaningful:
Try lingering in locations and on details a little bit more, I notice you seem to play the game at quite a rapid pace. This can be a detriment for your progression as you may miss some details and end up having to return to the location again. I imagine you can get a lot more info if you play more leisurely

  • Well ultimately, this is still your content and your copy of the game, you can play the game however you want, and this is just a suggestion. I hope i didn't come off too gatekeepy, but I think that some thought from a person who played the game many times should help.

I hope you have a blast with the game as much as I did, stay safe, peace.

Your suggestion wouldn't work because the entire point is that Neuro and Vedal are playing the game together and their interaction is what makes it fun. If Neuro couldn't talk during 95% of the time then it would be awkward to just have her standing there doing nothing.
Vedal just needs to pay a bit more attention to the hints instead of speedrunning it since it takes a while for the sun to explode and muting Neuro isn't going to fix that.
I'm sure Vedal knows when Neuro is guessing or wrong about a solution, especially because she can't spoil the game, doesn't know the solutions to the puzzles well and can't bing the solution because it's disabled

These streams arent about Vedal being god gamer and solving puzzles with 200IQ, they are mostly about banter and funny situations with attempts at proper gameplay when stars align

personally i think that these streams are just fine as they are

it’s at a neat sweetspot where she can still manipulate the game to some degree and make it entertaining in its own right but there’s still a sense of progress with vedal at the helm for most of the gameplay. and when neuro and vedal work together well to solve or explore every once in a while it’s great SMILE

also the fact that neuro is not only integrated with the ship but also the rest of the game and is capable of recognizing things or events is really cool

if you're expecting a normal playthrough of the game with this then you're expecting the wrong thing, neuro talking less would destroy the content for the majority of viewers, like sorry, most ppl are watching to see neuro speak and control the ship, and the actual game experience is less important

if I wanted to see outer wilds gameplay I'd watch a gameplay video not a vedal987 stream

i think it’s kinda a theme with most neuro gaming streams. you don’t watch them for a regular playthrough. you watch them because nwero

detroit become human where she got 1% endings
minecraft where she just does random crap on whims
inscryption where her only wins are via surrender evilWheeze

but as I said, these outer wilds streams are a sweetspot. you get both a show of a puzzle exploration game with really cool worldbuilding and progression and some of the best parts of neuro and it just works.

Ah yes, a neuro stream with less neuro in it. I don't see how that could possibly have any problems whatsoever

man if only there was someone in the call with vendal that could provide him with some information and entertain chat

This is honestly a pretty cool idea to me, but I ultimately don't think it'd work with the streaming environment Vedal is going for, since it'd mean he would have a lot more solo screen time without Neuro. I don't think he would like that, and a lot of other people wouldn't either.
As for Neuro spoiling, I think there's a balance between letting her give just enough information for Vedal to puzzle things together and her blatantly acting like a walkthrough. She's a smart little cookie so she's been behaving most of the time.

Fair enough, I would advocate for a more intended play style but hey, I'm still entertained
