Hello. Been back and forth whether or not I should ask, but figured I'd go for it. This is mainly For vedal/mods

If there is any chance vedal actually reads this in person I'll put the tldr first since I know he is busy.

TL:DR

Whats the reason concert is preferred for 2025, and can it be summer 2026?

Was watching the vod for devstream 07.07 (apologies for being square) and there i heard vedal say that Neuro & Evil concert might be (and vedal hopes) for 2025..

iirc the first concert will be in the US.

Honestly, I thought the planning, prep and all other things would take like 1+ years. And as a EU resident i had planned to save up enough money (have been since February) so I could take vacation in US for the concert that i thought would at earliest be around this time next year, to my surprise it's possibly this fall/December. Now, I'm painfully aware (and I'll be blunt vedalDepress ) my voice/opinion/feelings won't count for much anything when it comes to such grandiose things as the date for the concert. Yet here I am, doing the only thing I can. Pleading for the slightest chance vedal sees this, and goes "yk what, sure, let's postpone this endeavor since a random swarm member brought it up"

I'm sure I'm not the only non american who feels this way, and is in the financial situation that I can't just up and leave for the states without saving up for it. So I'm praying vedalPray as hard i can to gorg and morg that the concert can happen in july/August of 2026. (Since savings + holiday payment SMILE means funds to travel)

P.s, to fellow swarm members who stumbled upon this, idk why I feel the follow might happen, but pls don't chew me out or behave undesirably in response. I'm just doing the little I can to not be square..

Not to get political as much as possible but setting aside financial stuff it's either:

  • travel to the US; or
  • get squared

I would just choose to be found square for the 3rd time. I think it's not a good idea to host anything involving international communities in the US at this point considering its... uh, hostility.

||also I live in aus so my fees to go to concert would be 📈||

TL;DR please postpone concert and/or move it

The way I would look at it is: a successful concert in the US means an EU one will come for sure. So don't worry too much, support it from afar (maybe with streaming ticket) and it'll happen

It'll be all the American's turn to be square soon enough
