#Suggestions for Sound Effects for my Neurocraft Texture Pack

Hey guys, to start us off, I'd like to say that this isn't really a big project. Just something that I'm making in my free time. And I was wondering if you guys had any fun suggestions for sound effects that I could integrate in this texture pack, to replace the default mob sounds! Specifically for Neuro as a zombie, Evil as a Skeleton, and Vedal as a Creeper! I don't follow neuro streams as often, so maybe you guys have some saved up sound effects or voice-lines that you guys think could fit here!

I could even synthesize you some if you know what you want

You mean like a tone indicator? Or if I have a voice recording of someone else saying, "Raise the Timer!". I'm sorry, this is a first for me.

Hmm

Alright

# glass geode Alright

Does the gender of the voice matter? If not, then I might just make a recording on my own as a reference

Silly

sand gull

Sorry I had no idea how synthesizing works. I was under the impression that the closer the reference voice is, the better. Also, I kinda don't like the idea of my sample voice being sent in a public chatroom lol

Including but not limited to

  • changing the base pitch
  • changing the timings of phonemes
  • changing the individual coarce pitches of segments
  • changing the fine pitch curve

In that case, I hope that you'll be able to tune it freely

glass geode
#

Yeah, NeuroSynth is highly versatile

sand gull
#

I've sent my sample!

glass geode
#

Got it

sand gull
#

Sorry It took a while, I was rehearsing it

#

Should I send more samples?

glass geode
#

If you want other voice lines, sure
I can work with this for "Raise the timer" though

sand gull
#

mhmm I guess while we're at it, if you could, try to synthesize a "Curse of the Time God!" voice-line. If you have the time ofc, I'll be sending the sample in a moment

#

Thanks again for tolerating me, you've been a massive helping hand, and I appreciate it greatly

glass geode
#

I just like to silly around with SVS stuff

sand gull
#

Oh you're already done

#

Okay, hold on, let me give it a listen

glass geode
#

Yeah, tuning a short sample doesn't take long

sand gull
#

Ohh sweet!

#

Hmm would it be alright if we could try again? I'll send you another sample. I don't think I pronounced "Timer" right, my accent is weird. But I'll try to say it better

glass geode
#

None of your vocal or phoneme information is used in the NeuroSynth output, it's completely disconnected

sand gull
#

Ohh I see, sorry I misunderstood that part, but I get it now

#

In that case, do you have any input on how "timer" is pronounced? No pressure if otherwise.

glass geode
#

I don't know, do you mean your voice or NeuroSynth's output?

sand gull
glass geode
#

It sounds perfectly good to me

sand gull
#

Ohh I see! If you think It sounds good, then that's fine with me.

#

My one last request is, could you export it in mp4? Would that be alright?

glass geode
#

Mp4?

#

You mean mp3?

sand gull
sand gull
#

Sorry I was editing a video earlier, and so I just kept on seeing mp4 again & again

glass geode
#

Just wait a moment, I'll ffmpeg it real quick
Though if it's for Minecraft, I'm somewhat certain it should be ogg

sand gull
#

Ohh I'm surprised you know that! Yes, It should be ogg, but I already have a program that converts it, and I thought asking you that would be too much.

But hey, if the option is already there, then I'd appreciate it if you could

glass geode
#

Yeah, I can just ffmpeg it directly to ogg
Remember that I'm not an amateur in the audio stuff, so I will know stuff you wouldn't think I do, like what formats some stuff wants

sand gull
#

I apologize for assuming so

#

I just assumed that ogg in general was a rare file format, and knowledge in creating minecraft texture packs, specifically changing sound effects, was even rarer

#

But yeah, take your time! And thank you so much

glass geode
sand gull
#

I am giggling so much rn from listening to it

#

I cannot thank you enough, I appreciate it so much

#

Thank you, these will do wonderfully

glass geode
#

Sillly

#

Let me know if you need anything else

sand gull
#

Very well

#

Sorry for the inconveniences along the way, I hope that you have a wonderful day

#

You're a very kind person

glass geode
#

I guess so

I suggest one of vedal's screams for when you hit him, idr which one I had in mind before typing this

there were also voicelines from neuro and evil that I wanted to suggest but brain is not working

sand gull
#

It's alright lol, my brain also doesn't usually work on how I want it to work
