its basically just another term for LLM temperature i think (albeit it's a neuro-community only term i think)

the higher the number, the more freedom you're giving to the LLM in terms of how far they stray from their dataset, and for going lower it does the opposite

its referred to as "the schizo slider" simply because if its set too high the LLM will sound like its "losing it's shit" by repeatedly spamming text or looping the conversation context
