I'm wondering if we could possibly request public API access to the lava lamp so users can develop their own integrations to control only their lava lamps. I.e., developing their own Alexa skill that can hook into the API, HomeKit integrations, etc.
Developers could establish a way to change the colour state as well as the brightness state through their integrations, without having to manually use the companion app. The colour state would also allow the option of syncing with the stream, instead of setting a specific colour.
In addition, the API could expose a way to detect whether the twitch channel is live or not, or instead this could potentially be done through direct twitch API integration on the developer's end.
