I'm not sure if Vedal is aware but he was worried about hosting a server to the public on account of all the DDoS people and, well, there has been a long-standing Minecraft service specifically for preventing stuff like this which is called TCPShield.

It may very well be that he's aware of it and that there's just some sort of caveat or logistical problem I don't know about but I figured I should mention it since it has hardly ever been mentioned here.

Vedal really needs a DDOS consultant. Someone that is experienced with operating public servers and can react to shifting circumstances.

There 'used to be' a lot of for-profit minecraft server networks that made money off their public servers and (from what I remember) most of them were highly experienced in this area. If we could kidnap one...

tcp shield is good though, can vouch
