#More sponsored streams

It would be good to know what our wider community thinks about this.
I'm not sure why Vedal hasn't polled this himself, maybe it's too awkward.
Let me take a chance and do it instead.

The question is what the content even is thonk

I pick the second option, but again I'm running with limited info.
But pretty much anything is fine as long as Neuro or/and Evil is there doing whatever they feel like doing. neuroHyperYay evilHyperYay

Also, announcing these streams in advance as sponsored (like the WoW stream) would be great. I think it can be done well, without “selling out”. It could even be a pretty nice content if he negotiates good terms.

I'd say it depends on the sponsor

I liked vedal's original idea of not interfering with the schedule at all with the sponsored streams and just having them as extra content for people who want to watch them.

I completely agree with Emptyice above. I'm fine with it if it's additional content. I saw some people suggesting to replace dev streams with sponsors just because Vedal doesn't have a concrete plan for them often, but that's what I like about them. I really enjoy what the creator of Neuro has to say about her, the week, the events, and all the sidequests that he goes on and I wouldn't want for it to be replaced with sponsored content.

Edit. Removed an unnecessary addition at the beginning since it seems to be distracting people from the main point of my comment, judging by the huh reactions.

If vedal wants to, I don’t want him to feel rushed to take a sponsor and then chat getting upset at the sponsor he chose again

the alternative is to get a caretaker (streamer friend like anny or a irl friend) to play the game with Neuro as a sidekick - but then the sponsor would probably dowgrade their offer because of lower expected ccv and not having vedal - someone who the Swarm respects most - shilling their product.

Perhaps Vedal needs to not only consider what the Neuro fanbase thinks, but also what the general vtubing community and even wider internet community thinks. Because the world beyond the fanbase could maybe, possibly also affect Neuro/Vedal.
Seeing the ai vtuber take on sponsorships might validate ill-acquainted observers of their prejudiced belief of neuro as a quick cash grab (which could then snowball into something greater...). So perhaps care needs to be taken to ensure sponsorship streams are somehow obscure and not-known outside the Swarm.

I'm 80% sure that this doesn't need to be considered though and that I'm overestimating the causal links and stuff.

I personally am positive about sponsorships. I'll be even more positive about sponsorships if Vedal re-affirms that the money can be effectively invested into Neuro development or projects. (rather than a scenario where the Neuro for some reason doesn't have any investment levers to pull) I care not only for the technical R&D but also those multimedia projects (e.g. the subathon intro) which also double as great PR.
I'd support sponsorships even more if Vedal revealed that he hasn't been able to take his personal cut to start saving and accumulating assets, because margins are so slim. (Though it's unthinkable he would actually admit this.)

it's probably gonna be used for neuro until he retires and has neuro stream on her own mostly for the rest of her career if he chooses to do that
