#Pop Up or unintrusive log for call messages, polls and google searches

still not 100% sure what to do about this, thinking about it
sometimes the revealing the google search could spoil things
I tentatively suggest that hiding more stuff about Neuro's thoughts/internal processes makes her seem more spontaneous. Dunno though if I, as a consumer, truly do think that though
maybe it could be revealed 20s after the fact in chat?
though on the flip side, sometimes it's funny to see what she searched, like you say
For me, those google searches are hilarious, and knowing what they are and when they happen would be better since you would know if the answer she gives is straight from her brain or sourced from google.
I think that at least the polls are something that should be implemented into the stream in some way. They are a pretty big part of the stream, now that twins can make them, talk about them and discuss the results, and that context is completely missing in VODs.
I agree to an extend but I can't help but think that a normal streamer wouldn't normally show their searches or DMs unless it was for a bit anyways. Of course how does an AI judge if a search or DM is funny enough to mention on stream or use for a bit? Also, the stream display would get really cluttered if search history, DMs, polls or reasons for timeouts are all added.
I don't think they need to take up that much of the display. I imagine it could work if it was just a line of text at the bottom of the screen showing the twins' last action, like "Evil searched google: domino's pizza phone number" or "Neuro messaged camila: why won't vedal give me laser eyes". With a small font it wouldn't be obtrusive but you could still check it for context.
i think itd be nice to know when they’re doing it but it just feels needlessly, not in a parasocial humanizing way, intrusive. i prefer it as purely an after stream thing
I don't think it matters if we know or not. People are just hyper aware at the moment because it's a new feature. Sharing the log after the stream is fun post-stream content.
It could be a fun stream idea to do a dedicated "Neuro browses the internet" where her browser is shown on screen and she looks up and talks about topics she finds.
that is the context of it
i think their point was whether or not the twins actually discuss the polls is up to chance so any vod viewers may just completely miss out
Yup, exactly.
How about subtle typing sounds when she’s googling or writing a discord message?
To clarify on this, i mean that it shows the exact things shes writing, not a hint that shes doing it, its inconvenient having to search for context for the full content
Maybe neuro/evil can choose to show what their searching? Then they can decide if they want to hide their search or not?
Maybe for Google searches the pop up can appear only after she says something?
An alternative to this is having them always tell us what they do
a normal human streamer wouldn't constantly reveal everything they search/do, so I don't think Neuro should do it either
That seems like a good target, but tbh I'm not sure why it is a good target
i think it would break immersion, or undermine the 'point of Neuro' in that an entertaining AI character is possible to cultivate
i would be open to them sometimes declaring their actions though, since there is some entertainment value in it
I would really like it if we could treat Neuro more like a regular Vtuber and not limit her to gimmicks of pop ups betraying her every action she takes. I like seeing people up in chat asking "Is this an AI?" and I feel like having her inner workings just pop up randomly betrays that genuine first impression.
Neuro should dictate when she does something, which she has been doing fairly well I thought. I disagree having her always mention it too, because then we know when she's spamming and it's funnier if it's discovered after the fact, ie, the twitch partner joins and complains to them directly. Alternatively, the hints would be fine I suppose... Like typing sounds if she's writing dms / googling is not a bad idea; because it's realistic and might help fill dead air while she's otherwise occupied and could help prompt chat messages asking what she was doing, which in turn prompts lying for content.

The alternative is her lies just get called out instantly because she's an AI and the screen shows us she's lying, invasive is a good word for it. Someone already mentioned it.
(Why few word when many do?)
DMs are especially a weird thing to be careful about. If she always mentions her actions or has a pop-up, that person she DMs could face harassment from idiots trying to get them to respond. So IF, and a big IF, if something like that was implemented probably best to be anonymised and that defeats the purpose of giving you context.
nice, that was well articulated
It is funny, but its also missed content for the things that are never brought up or shown, even more for those who only bother watching the stream n nothing else
google searches of the day as scrolling credits at the end of the stream when they're saying goodbye .
lmao
now i just imagined this
