#neuro playing infinite craft?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
try to find a specific word
this would require some planning (which might be tricky to prompt engineer an LLM for, without using extra non-LLM techniques like backtracking). I know that I would struggle, at least (though that probably says more about me)
creates Supernova gaming 29383889
might be able to be done, you have to prompt the llm “what 2 items do you think will create x”, feed it the item list, and combine the ones it picks. not sure on the ram usage with a large inventory tho
they are just text strings so it might not be that bad
could also repurpose swarm control (surely it won’t just be for subnautica below zero
) to give neuro the next prompt
I would say this game isnt meta anymore but vedal just taught neuro how to play a game with a playerbase of 2 players so its probably still on the table. its a simple enough game too
need to make neuro craft herself
yeah you could do that, generate a potential path to the item
i'm not sure if that would be too hardcodey or lead to a repetitive playstyle
maybe she can alternate between random combos and "intentional" combos
pretty cool how infinite craft dynamically adds more items with LLMs
we are lucky neuro is popular enough to be in this game
hmm fair enough, i guess i retract my point about planning then
i think viewer prompting will fix all issues with repetitiveness tbh
i guess it does speak to how much cultural knowledge LLaMa2 has (the model used on the infinite-craft backend i think)
yeah, i hadn't considered that... tbh it's not immediately clear how you could integrate chat, but i'm sure there's something
(ok i guess you could have chatters suggest objectives and combos)
neuro made the news multiple times (when she first came out as the cool thing to ogle, and the evil fumo incident) and thats all the llm needs i think
oh fair point, she isn't merely a mundane streamer
btw trying to craft anything with the "vtuber" item usually leads to variations of "gawr gura" no matter what you put in
I think it could be cool to see Neuro try to think/reason about how to get to a goal
rock + pond = lightsaber, right?
How did you make neuro-sama?
I’ve been searching for so long
This is what I got (I was also looking for Nere)
Never mind finally found it
Thanks for the help though
I had to quit infinite craft because my inventory is full and glitching out the game (crafting doesnt work)
glad it worked for you tho
but yeah as a word of advice from me to you don’t craft stuff like Shrek 14674 or anything thats a waste of inventory space even if its the easiest way to get new discovery
Well since an llm created it in the first place and the whole thing is word association, I would think that llms might actually do fairly well at it
This could be easily coded with the Neuro API. It just needs a list of strings with available elements.
Sadly the Neuro API doesn't list how many options you can provide. So its hard to say how far neuro could play.
https://github.com/VedalAI/neuro-game-sdk/blob/main/API/SPECIFICATION.md
Infinite craft does not have an api on its own, but since it is a simple site with all elements exposed in html it is trivial to fetch the site contents.
Someone already made an API that fetches the available items and can get the result of item combinations. It does not however do this with the website open as far as I can tell.
https://github.com/sqdnoises/infinite-craft
However there are user scripts that can auto craft both random and selected items and could be referenced in making this.

Yeah I know
I avoid inf number loops when I can
I think for me the straw that broke the camels back on my inventory was unicode crafting like “U+0128” but extremely useful for getting stubborn words, and still useful for the string method
I have this rn and I am trying to get Nere (I’m not sure if it’s possible though)
i kinda forgot i had this idea but now i get reminded, thanks you all
i was hoping vedal would see it and implement it but if not i can try during the summer break with the api
i was mostly interesting in seeing it on stream tho

The way this should work is:
- Neuro's context includes some random elements she has
- Neuro gets the command "merge x and y"
- If she has both of them, she merges them
- If she's missing either, it lists the most similar things she has to them so she can try using those
Thanks, I finally made Nere. I even made a first discovery which is “Nere-sama” with the quotation marks. I also made green Nere (first discovery), Nere-neuro-Nere (first discovery), “Nere-” (first discovery), I made Nere-sama and more
for stubborn words and especially names that arent extremely famous world renowned celebrities you usually need to do funky stuff with quotes but i recommend looking up guides for that. or use the infinibrowser search bar website it has almost every word at this point that isnt nonsensical including some of the neuroverse. even if it doesnt have it it does have a lot of useful tool words that can help you on it https://infinibrowser.wiki/
I found filter sama
And became the first to discover “filter-sama”
This is my current collection

I never said I discovered filter-sama and Nere-sama first, I said I discovered the quotation mark variants first
That’s close enough for me
Even though I do have the regular versions without quotation marks
Aha
Found a loophole
You might have discovered Nere-sama but I discovered Nere Sama
I would like to see what she would make with such a powerful tool
