Please make the gymbags come back

I'm not the only one who finds the new badges added weird so I want to share my opinion on it.
First I think that the topic of adding new badges arrived too fast and ended fast too, (I think the whole thing started when Vedal saw the comment of SpeLoad asking to add new sub badges).
In my opinion I think the gymbags badges should stay because they are a big part of Neuro’s history (one of her famous clips) and a lot of the Swarm represents themselves as gymbags/drones or even both (gymbags-drones), this making a lot of sense as badges for subs.
The second thing that i dislike is the fact of that the new badges don’t have any “progression” to them, the only difference being the Neuros wearing different outfits/accessories. And I don't deny the work of PupTea at all, his badges are very cute and I appreciate the fact that he/she made them for the Neuro community.
Also the way that Vedal only left one golden gymbag feels kinda out of place because its like 1 badge completely different from the others and than followed by another one similar (mustache Neuro) to the previous ones before (for the 2 years old subs)

What i want is the gymbags to stay and just add more variations to them for the 1,5 year and 2 years levels like this amethyst gymbag that i made for example (pic related).

We also discussed this in gymbag-general earlier, the general consensus is that the new changes werent necessary, as the original request was for >1 year badges only

That being said I'm not sure what his personal stance is, and it's true that he might have just been getting oneguy'd

But apart from that yeah I think the new badges are too visually complex and the gymbags were a bit nicer because they was less detailed, and it was also easier to differentiate the tiers

Well yeah chat didn’t force him to pay, but being forced to and being pressured to is really the same thing in this sense, plus there were people spamming in chat that he didn’t pay the artist

Does bring up an interesting thought in my head though as we continue to get newer viewers and newer references get made. It's been mentioned that "gymbag" isn't really known for new viewers, and yet its clearly dear to older viewers hearts.
At what point is it just a really old reference that is no longer relevant? Have we or will we become "boomer"-like with regards to this? Should these gymbags be here forever? What if they were replaced with an objectively good set of badges that had a sense of progression? (I don't know what would fit this criteria, just imagine a hypothetical one)
Would it ever be possible to change off gymbag without upsetting people? What would an ideal scenario be like for ppl then?

Disclaimer I'm of the opinion that I dislike the new badges.

The old badges are a memento of old Neuro, and everything about old neuro seems to be fading away, and everyone seems to agree that gymbags should not be removed.
Will new viewers know what it is? No, but they can just ask, its a popular Neuro moment after all

If this was discussed in advance, maybe people wouldnt act like this now, the sudden change was definitely not the way for this to go

I did just pay the artist of those sub badges it would be a little awkward to remove them now and they are cute

I do get the whole idea of the progression though

I was trying to please people that wanted the gymbags and those that wanted the new ones

although it is a bit messy now

I've gone ahead and changed it so the progressive gymbags start at 1 year for og viewers

so there is still some progress, and og viewers still have their gymbags

I should probably commission a whole new original set of something consistent at some point for this, and could maybe just use the current neuro faces for bit badges or something

what could be changed is the +1 year badges, to look a bit better

I certainly would like to keep the gymbag too. The sub chat here is still kinda (bread) called that. Its part of what made me find neuro back then. And its a simple image that is still recognizable in small and can be easily upgraded with a simple colour change that also allows to easily see what month lvl that person is on.

Random idea, but did anyone bring up the idea of making these sub badges and then giving the 1 year / 1.5 years and past to the gymbags instead? Given that there are 5 slots before you reach 1 year of subscription, it would be pretty fitting to have these 5 badges be the ones you get before a gymbag

It would be a bit simple, but they are literally her badges, and fit the channel quite well

I don't think hearts makes sense since they are already Neuro's oshi mark, as Kizkim said gymbags are the most appropriate symbol to represent the Neuro community

Not going to read the whole thread, but the whole thing was done on assumption that one could use lower level subscription badges (kinda like you can use lower level cheer icons).
Maybe he can use his contact with twitch person to nudge twitch devs to implement sub badge picker. 👀

Im sorry if you didnt like the badges; I made them for fun, because I love the accessories/toggles neuro has and I also love accessory badges.
I tried to provide progression (such as how Vedal started it; one neuro, one evil, then one neuro with mustache, one evil with mustache, etc) and I wanted to add more if people liked them. Imo, accessory badges can still progress; its just not the classic bronze, silver, gold, etc.

As an alternative suggestion, gymbags could also be for bit badges (alongside the gymbags as sub badges too, or just as bit badges; I'm not trying to take away from one or the other) like this: https://i.imgur.com/kXkr0T8.png

Your badges are really cute! I think people were just unsatisfied with the suddenness of the change and that only one of the gymbags were left.

As for the progression thing, it's mainly hard to tell due to the size. I think people just need time to get used to them and it will be fine.
