One issue can arise from this, is someone wishes to use this song (if Vedal approves for using it as is / covers) the one who claims it as their own, they can DMCA or claim videos containing the song.
Not sure if this scenario applies here, but I hate the DMCA system on youtube, it is such bullshit and I think it can be abused like this

If the above is true (can someone else confirm as well) then other creators (like Ellie's cover) can be claimed as theirs

I think contacting OneRPM is the way to go. They seem like a decently large distributor and they have to take copyright very seriously, because if I remember correctly, copyright strikes will go to them. Also the guy has no case against Vedal. Just checking the upload dates proves who made the music.

Also it's dangerous to let him have the copyright because he can take down the originals.

Also, while it's "just an ARG" it's something that Vedal has put a lot of time and care into, and we've put a lot of time and care into solving stuff. I'd hate to see a lot of love and care go down the drain because some dipshit wanted to make a quick buck.
