So probably an unpopular opinion: I actually prefer Neuro's state before Vedal's return in March. She simply seemed smarter and more coherant?

Honestly, this is because, since the whole update that was supposed to make her 'ramble' more , she has seemed (at least to me), just way less coherant, and interesting to listen to. What I mean is that she would be able to actively engage with Vedal and the likes and STAY ON TOPIC and add to the banter without every now and then drifting off. This made her really fun to listen to, especially since ahe would often bring back previous convo topics and make up new ones. However, my problem comes that since she came back and Vedal apparently made her more 'rambly', she seems to just go off topic a whole lot more, which in vaccum for random clips and such, can make for some funny haha moments, but for anything else, it's just annoying. Like before, I would listen to what she was saying and sometimes wonder: "huh. Past the voice, she makes a point." Now, I just think to myself: "ok, haha. Moving on."

Also, I flagged this with the 'question' tag because I couldn't see any 'discussion' one. Sorry for that.

Thus, while I understand Vedal's perspective from the recent Dev stream, and somewhat agree that Neuro's charm comes from a balance between stupid foolishness, randomness and intelligence, from my perspective, I'd say that it is more than that. Neuro has always been interesting because of the simple fact that she is a work in progress. Seeing new improvements and the fact that she continues to become smarter/ do more, is the big thing for me, that really makes this whole AI thing fascinating. Seeing how much better she was getting at doing banter with Vedal (Especially during the Subathon in December), was what really sealed the deal (I still remember the Mousquito phase lol). That's why I am not too sure about this whole new push that Vedal seems to have to make her retain a certain level of dumbness whilst still making her more intelligent. I simply just don't think that this is necessary as it may just make progress less noticeable from a viewer's perspective and the fun of seeing her become more capable. Moreover, (and excuse me if I make a mistake or I'm saying something wrong here), but so far, as far as I know (unless Vedal was always in the back manually dumbing her down), this has never necessarly been a necessecity, so why now? In fact, funnily enough, whilst in the past, I prefered Neuro a lot more to Evil, nowadays, I find myself prefering the latter a lot more simply because she seems smarter and 'conscious' than the former's current state.

Overall, Idk why I am making this forum post. This is just a combination of a lot of the observations and feelings that I've had since Neuro came back. Thus, if it's not useful and just (as described above) an unpopular opinion, just feel free to disregard this. Otherwise, I hope that it can serve as feedback regarding Neuro's inherent need for a certain level 'dumbness'.

I like her banter with me I have no intention of making her worse at that
also evil is roughly the same state as her behind the scenes
