Selecting art based on its submission date may cause some pieces never to be reviewed. This also leads artists to repost their art in hopes of it being reviewed, which obviously causes redundancy in the posts. I think randomly selecting art would make the system more engaging and prevent the same art from being posted more than once.
#Art for Review Should Be Chosen Randomly

Nah, cos if it was random then there's a chance people who go out their way to create art for that stream never see the light of day. I don't think this solves anything; just shifts the problem somewhere else.
Also the submission date is to prevent abuse and people posting shit last-minute that's tos. If it was random, it would still need that submission date limit in eithercase.
So what guarantees more unique art? Going from new to old or just randomly choosing art? Some of which might've been seen before btw and might even be selected twice the very same stream. The more art streams there are, the more art to choose from. Unless there's a limit of only random art in the past x days. That's suddenly a lot more restrictions, so the submission date is simplest and best.
I'm sure there's much simpler solutions that can be done on Discord if it's an actual issue. Like filtering via tags / new channels specifically for viewing on stream. I don't know. Just don't think random is a good idea.
a much better idea would be to choose art pieces with a high number of reactions
not saying that should be changed, im just giving a better example than OP
i think there's no reason to change the current system

This is already happening, if your post is too old, it will never be reviewed. Randomly picking art at least gives the same chance to everyone.

I concur

What do you mean by selecting art that has already been seen before? You mean on stream? I’m pretty sure the list can be curated to eliminate duplicates. The point about duplicating art was specifically about the experience for the user on the server, not about the art list used by Neuro. Sorry if I was not clear.

Yeah, but this again will simply make some art to never be reviewed.

The main reason I think it should change is that some art pieces will simply never be reached with the current system. Thinking a little more about it, a system that mixes selecting recent art and random pieces would be better. This way, some of the most recent art, which references current jokes/memes, gets selected, while also making it possible to select old art pieces
