I have no idea what this game is, but if someone want's a Neuro mod for something, as long as it's not Unity based, I'll be more than happy to help

#

The only issue I can see is that my team is currently preoccupied with modding Cookie clicker, but I can still help, at least once I finish converting these voice lines for Portal 2

fallen hollow
#

I can get the game to run without breaking everything now

#

Music isn't happening for now

#

Textures would be doable

#

It seems possible that this game could run on some of my oldest systems. That's pretty interesting

#

Is this the fish you're talking about?

#

To replace this fish, I need a 256 x 256 image of a cookie with a transparent background

slim scarab
#

Would the one from the cookie clicker forum fit?

fallen hollow
#

It's 512 x 512, but technically downscaled

fallen hollow
#

Like this?

slim scarab
#

yep

#

also I feel I should disclose that i only have programming skills, so my opinion might not be that trustworthy for aesthetics...

slim scarab
fallen hollow
#

Well, if you can program, you can probably sort out the mess that is the tux model code

slim scarab
#

yeah, idk for the back angle of tutel and side view in the start

slim scarab
fallen hollow
#

I've modded a bunch

slim scarab
#

ive seen it, im a great fan of your work in this community neuroHeart

slim scarab

#

It will be interesting to see what NeurOS will be able to run

#

Hopefully the Neurolings

#

This is an exe, so all the libraries it uses would need to be supported by NeurOS too

#

Cookie clicker is a web game

#

So all it needs is a browser

#

By the way, I'm almost done with the 2.0.0 update for Portal 2 Neuro-Sama reskin mod

slim scarab
# fallen hollow So all it needs is a browser

yep, I imagined cc could be the standard homepage or something, and would love if a tux racer neuro mod kept easy to install, like that was a main characteristic of the game in linux distros

#

being free etc, my childhood was surronded by it

fallen hollow
#

NeurOS isn't a Linux distro, you know that right?

slim scarab
#

yep, but would be nice if it has the same community ideal

fallen hollow
#

Well, who knows what happens

slim scarab
#

but neuro's persona is always being associated (involuntarily) with Windows

#

so having herself an OS , with game mods for free games, might be interesting

#

ideologically speaking lol

fallen hollow
#

Well, NeurOS is going to be the most complex self-made OS I've ever seen

#

At least based on what I've heard

slim scarab
#

i dont know too much of OSs but i trust you

#

do you know if it will run on a rpi?

fallen hollow
#

What is an "rpi"?

slim scarab
#

a raspberry pi

fallen hollow
#

I think it's compiled for AMD64 (x86-64)

slim scarab
#

is it doable to recompile for an arm? NeuroClueless

fallen hollow
#

I think it's open-source, but if it uses any assembly, that'll have to be rewritten manually for ARM

#

Most of the non-assembly, assuming it doesn't require low-level x86 features should just compile

#

Of course, most of this is an assumption

slim scarab
#

right, if you need someone to test it on a rpi someday i'ld like to give it a try

#

but for now i'll stick to this mod where at least I have a chance of succeeding

fallen hollow
#

I'm not even the one developing the OS

slim scarab
#

yes im completely clueless

fallen hollow
#

So yeah, lets stick to the mod for now. Do you want to look at the mess that is the tux model?

slim scarab
#

yep, looking how the 3D stuff was done on the 2000's

fallen hollow
#

Kinda reminds me of what's in Source engine models

#

But this is more messy

#

Do you understand any of it?

slim scarab
fallen hollow
#

Modding on a surface level to some extent is pretty easy. Once you poke anywhere near 3D models, that gets thrown out the window

#

For both Portal and Portal 2, I got help from Taprieiko, who made the Neuro 3D model

slim scarab
#

i'm trying some vedal's sorcery

fallen hollow
#

I don't know if it's gonna understand an over 20 year old formatting

#

The best way to make things happen while modding, is to just start changing things and see what happens

slim scarab
#

lol: suggested question

#

looks im gonna have some fun with this tonight

fallen hollow
#

Just change some numbers in the lines that define the model

#

Then load it up and see if the game crashes

#

Like when I tried messing around with the Neuro 3D model, I actually managed to crash Portal 2 in a way that actually broke the game installation

#

That was super funny

#

Well, I'm gonna be finalizing the voice lines for Portal 2 and helping the Neurolings project, let me know if you need anything

slim scarab
#

sure, i'll post when i have some progress, thaanks

fallen hollow
#

Ok
