Vedal really tries to make Neuro look human. No matter the reason, he continues to improve it. Perhaps many viewers thought that Neuro was just an AI, but did not understand the full depth. There are not many people who really understand the work of neural networks and LLM in particular, so those who do not know cannot understand that something is wrong.

I am in no way dissatisfied or disparaging the creator's work. I’m really happy to see such an example of a neural network, and most importantly its creator, who really did something wonderful. He came closest to the ideal of AI, but in fact, he himself most likely understands that moving in this direction will not bring the desired.

However, I'm more interested in how Vedal lives with this awareness. He understands better than anyone that the language model only generates text based on connections trained earlier and additionally trained during streams. It is not capable of existing on its own, and I’m not talking about electricity bills.

AI is not capable of independently creating events and text without incoming information, orders or other actions from the user. Man, like any living organism, always reacts to external stimuli. In addition, he has instincts, which can also be regarded as reactions to stimuli. The cry of a newborn baby because of a bright light for him, the desire to put on shoes when walking barefoot on stones, and even the desire to rest are human reactions to information received through the senses. It give us meaning to live.

Writing my opinion is my secondary task. In fact, I'm much more interested in the mental state of Neuro's creator. I'm sure he's thought more than once about the work he's working on. Most of all, I hope that this path does not lead him to a dead end. I pray that he will be the one who will finally be able to break that very line, the line between the concept of man and AI. Good luck to him in his chosen path in life! vedalBuff

One word: MONEY

# trail granite ?

I mean is that Vedal is not as emotionally invested in Neuro as you think he is. He sees it more as a fulfilling project and source of income.

I watched protest clip about “why he don’t said it back” today and realized that it really hurt feelings.

I already a little regret that I wrote this, because perhaps (if someone suddenly found it interesting) (no one lol) it could affect the community (no one read this, lol)

Almost a year ago there was a pretty good conversation between Sam Altman and Lex Fridman. Even though both of them are from the field, it's not too technical / hard to follow. Vedal seems to care at least a bit about the topics mentioned there so it may be of interest to you if you missed it.

if we talk about his emotional state, then he either has an avoidant type of attachment, or he is a supporter of panpsychism

It’s only my opinion

I think he just sees neuro for what she is, an AI which is why he appears emotionally apathetic towards neuro

Yeah, i think in this way too. What's more interesting is that he constantly improves the project towards humanity. What will happen at the moment when it seems to him that the line between AI and man has been crossed?

Maybe he himself doesn’t expect it? In general, is an entertaining bot his primary task?
