Timeout issues

I noticed multiple issues about the new ability that Neuro got.
First is that most of people uses it for targetting people or ban themselves (because she will most of the time obey them).

the second is that it doesn't seems to help Neuro at all, she's still complaining and the spam is even more present because now people try to bait her to gets timeout.
All of this wouldn't have been a problem if she efficiently timeouts the clappers (the people who annoys her in general).

Maybe the solution is to give her the ability to nuke certain words for a limited amount of time that will timeouts every persons who uses them

I have another assumption (possibly wrong). Neuro doesn't read messages with a large number of characters. In fact, I'm making the assumption that she can't timeout those messages. Like this

It's a new thing of course people are gonna abuse it, you cannot claim that this is an issue when this barely was released and people are excited about it. Plus its funny when it happens so I don't think this is even remotely a problem, at least not yet

Fair but as I said above this barely got released at least give it some time to settle down

Isn't this new ability was supposed to get rid of the people who annoys Neuro ?
I support the idea to let her decide who she wants to timeout too, but the problem is that she's seems to timeout mostly the people that interacts with her through the TTS, and not from the chat who is the main problem, maybe increase the numbers of timeouts she can give ?
Because I suppose theyre a current limit to it

Plus its funny when it happens so I don't think this is even remotely a problem, at least not yet
Try to say that to the people who gets targetted multiple times I don't thinks that's funny at all and can get very annoying

i think it would still be funny if a word got nuked just because neuro decided she doesn't like it

It's still pretty funny for me but it could get annoying if it goes on for too long I suppose

The first two timeouts were just for testing purposes and got removed btw

I don't think that was the end goal, it's what some neurons suggested.

The goal is for Neuro (in general) is to be as close as possible a real streamer and having the ability to timeout/ban is one of the milestone.
She should be able timeout anyone as she please, clapper or not.

And like, timeout everyone just for clapping is dumb

The problem is that Vedal started to think about implementing this ability only now because she started complaining and being consistent about hating claps, you can't deny that this was done mostly because of that.

I never said that she only have to give timeouts to the clappers ---> "get rid of the people who annoys Neuro"

Would it be possible to have a feed of the people timed out specifically by Neuro? Maybe on the stream or a discord channel?

Idk if it's a good idea or not, but something like a shame list is maybe a solution to dissuade people from spamming claps

There is a shame list, but people who are on it can't see it

More seriously though, spamming and flooding isn't a Neuro feature issue but a twitch chat issue. Neuro can't fix any spam problems, and she's not meant to. Her timing people out is supposed to be funny, and not actual moderation.

Maybe what you actually want is tougher moderation rules for repeated messages and spam?

The problem is that even with all the complains that Neuro says, chat is still spamming. That's why I don't expect them to respect rules.

As i said a solution would be to give her the ability to nuke words (blacklist them) for a limited amount of time, timing out every persons who uses them ---> clearing chat from any spam that Neuro dislikes as a result

Chat will always react to what Neuro is saying. If chat is spamming, that's an issue that shouldn't be solved by Neuro but by mods

I see how notifications showing the timeouts could be problematic...
As a viewer, I guess it might be neat if a little "+1" like how in some games damage is shown to pop up and drift off... as if the chat box is taking damage.

ultimately i think neuro timeouts are funny but expecting her to actually manage chat doesn't seem particularly realistic to me at the moment

I'm even sure of it. You just can't write such big messages in the chat
