#Neuro Play-Along game suggestions

Goat Simulator 3
I think Satisfactory would be good, with the story, but maybe not for most of the game...
The Beginner's Guide (made by the same folks as Stanley Parable)
Elden Ring
Stiens;Gate visual novel
Detroit become human
Snakes & Ladders
Superliminal
Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy
someone said Little Misfortune because it has a narrator
Visual Novels
Detroit become human
How about Riftbreaker?
Baldur's Gate 3 have amazing narrator, if he wants to spend a month on it
Detroit Become Human
Detroit: Become Human if there's a method/mod to slow the timer on the choices.
Frostpunk, I would love to see how Neuro would run a city.
Slay the princess is perfect for neuro
Slay the Princess would be a great game for Neuro to comment on / make decisions
Yeah!
Surgeon Simulator
DDC
Slay the Princess would be a great game for Neuro, similar to Stanley Parable it's very text and decision based
Detriot become Human
Bastion, for the narrator
also Transistor
soma
Little missfortune
I don't think there's much Neuro can interact with, but it would be interesting to see Vedal play it
For narrating goodness maybe Dungeons 3?
The upturned could be fun as long as Vedal reads the dialogue
Hollow knight could also be fun
Don't starve together
The Talos Principle 1 and 2 could be good for Neuro, albeit significantly longer than both Portal games. Second game has a lot of dialogue with several options.
actually good one
What Remains of Edith Finch is pretty much all narrated and would be under 3 hours
The Henry Stickmin Collection
(I’ll try and think of something else later 😭)
Grounded
I wonder if X-Morph defense would work? Nice short missions
Any of the Telltale games would work. sort of the same problem as Detroit though, some of the choices are time gated
OBSERVER maybe
Get her to read the entirety of Homestuck in one sitting \j
@teal hatch yeah Observer is one of my favorite horror games
It would porbably be difficult to point out just one that'd be good for neuro
Talos Principle 1 and 2 are also really good ones
agree
You can pause the timer via pausing the game, but a mod that slows it to a crawl for Neuro would be excellent.
For some low intensity building and exploring maybe the planet crafter or forever skies
What about AI: The Somnium Files?
Omori would be a funny watch
Godlike Burger explores some darker themes of delicious fast food
I'm thinking something similar to Anny Parable. That game was perfect, because Neuro can interact with the narrator and can also make choices
Anny parable
Vedal also needs to play BG3
Then there is the I have no mouth and I must scream
For games that Vedal can play while Neuro listens; Halo, Fable, Life is Strange and Class of '09. For games that if possible Vedal can program it for Neuo to play: Plants vs Zombies and HoloCure.
Little Nightmares would be interesting
but yes, ideally we want something like the Anny Parable
Little Nightmares is too quiet.
Hmm
Hm*
Thomas Was Alone
Disco elysium is perfect in concept, but... erm... Same with some parts of Firewatch
Slay the princess would be perfect then! It's like the stanley parable but theres a woman the narrator wants you to kill
Long live the queen might work. Not sure
I think Cyberpunk would go hard if Neuro (or Evil, imagine that) was the one making the calls. But again, some choices are time limited, would be hell for Vedal
If I remember correctly Maneater got sharks and narration
Monster loves you is all about choices
Seems cool
Vedal should program Neuro to play '20 minutes till dawn' and 'Vampire Slayers' to play on her own. That would be epic.
goal for this thread is games she can react to the audio track
What about 'Primordia'? It's a really good point and click puzzle game with dialogue.
Been a while so can't remember either but doesn't Torment: Tides of Numenera have voiced dialogues?
No idea if it is ok to stream though
And what about Telltale games? My favorite Telltale game is 'Tales from the Borderlands'
Five nights at Freddy’s has a narrator though it’s not multiple choice
Ddlc is a classic if we wanna scar neuro for her digital life
'What remains of Edith Finch' maybe?
Oh that ones good
For Telltale, Vedal has to essentially pause after every dialogue, or before a choice.
Or find something that removes or pauses the timer.
Just realized, that game is about a person whose name starts with V, ||who has an artificial intelligence in their head telling them what choices to make||
Overlord 2 is old but a classic
'Transistor', 'Bastion' are also good with dialogue
Undertale is a good choice based game for neuro
I’m out of suggestions unfortunately the only others I got I know for sure vedal won’t play
the talos principal will be interesting, i want to see it
Let me unpack my games list real quick
I recommend Grim Fandango for a stream, since we playing classic this week. Great story, with a full voiceover, and a lots of puzzles to solve
https://store.steampowered.com/app/316790/Grim_Fandango_Remastered/
Something's rotten in the land of the dead, and you're being played for a sucker. Meet Manny Calavera, travel agent at the Department of Death. Point and click is underrated
I got 2 crazy high quality uquizzes that would be funky
MGR? No choices, but her talking with the characters would be hilarious
see if you can get out of THIS one !!!!!!! content warning for mentions of death, some loud noises and screams (yes you read that right there's sounds in this quiz), generally confusing content, and there are swears and cursing. (this whole thing is a big joke and if you're prone to anxiety, paranoia, or stressing out about joke curses and silly...
Quizes in general would be pretty funny
Nvm I got one more There is no game 2: Wrong dimension
Not much multi choice either btw but it has a good storyline (also a few curse words)
And existential color quiz https://uquiz.com/quiz/w6OPts/what-color-are-you
What about 'Age of Mythology' campaign
Also something like LA Noire, where she plays the detective when speaking with characters
Oh, LA Noire would be great.
'The Dark Pictures Anthology' has tons of dialogue but she will get confused between characters
We could give her an ipad with cocomelon on it
Dude stop is one more and it’s a lot more multi choice but it does have curse words in it as well just to warn you on that also
Vedal curses all the time though
True it may be fine
We’ll just have to see on that tomorrow or whenever he can get to it I suppose
I still think slay the princess is the perfect game for Neuro!
I think it is about time Vedal learns some basics: https://store.steampowered.com/app/619150/while_True_learn/
There's one more game with tons of dialogue. Although not sure if it's good or not. I think I got it for free on Epic store. It's called 'Gamedec'. Similarly there's 'Disco Elysium' (which I didn't like personally but is generally well received)
I think any of the bioshocks would make sense too. Bunch of dialogues for neuro, good story and gameplay is fun its a shooter https://store.steampowered.com/app/7670/BioShock/
BioShock is a shooter unlike any you've ever played, loaded with weapons and tactics never seen. You'll have a complete arsenal at your disposal from simple revolvers to grenade launchers and chemical throwers, but you'll also be forced to genetically modify your DNA to create an even more deadly weapon: you. Injectable plasmids give you super h...

This got a lot of dialogue: https://store.steampowered.com/app/271260/Star_Control_Origins/
It was recommended on Neurotic by someone else, this one would be insane for Neuro https://store.steampowered.com/app/1240210/There_Is_No_Game_Wrong_Dimension/
"There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension" is a Point&Click comedy adventure (and Point&Click only!) that will take you on a journey you never asked to go on, through silly and unexpected video game universes. Will you be able to play along with the "Game" to find your way home?We sincerely think NOT.A Point&Click comedy adventure. You can go ahead and...

I think a text based DND like game might be good
But vedal will have to read out loud which i dunno he wants to do
Steve Jackson's Sorcery https://store.steampowered.com/app/411000/Sorcery_Parts_1_and_2/
An epic adventure in a land of monsters, traps and magic. However, all the choices are multiple choice so it will be relatively easy to direct Neuro to a choice
Getting over It would be interesting
Lmao, it really would
The world's hardest game (the flash game)
Little Misfortune, It has narrating voice acting for neuro to respond to and it's cheap for Tutel
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
I'll drop this here. Its a game designed for blind people, no visuals meaning its all 3D sound based and uses controller inputs meaning limited actions are needed however I expect programming in both 3D hearing and sound effect recognition could be hell but its something she could potentially play on her own.

I'd like her to beat dougdougs pajama Sam record https://youtu.be/W3id8E34cRQ?si=WqeGW9VW_MRz1n62
Today I created an A.i. to see if it could beat the classic children's game - Pajama Sam.

Also classic point and click adventure games monkey island/Grim fandango/Sam and max etc
I vote for doki doki literature club, with neuro hooked up to read the text
Undertale?
Pyjama Sam is amazing. I remember my Dad got me one or two CDs of this game when my Dad got his first PC more than 2 decades ago. I remember the animation, story and puzzles and everything being mind-blowing. It's still mind-blowing today in many aspects.
a game that's extremely similar to Stanley Parable is Thomas Was Alone. It's a puzzle platformer about a cast of AIs represented by little blocks and is narrated entirely by a single person in a very similar style to TSP.
be truly
and have her play Call of Duty Modern Warfare III but only on Ranked Mode
also vedal in CDL

The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1272160/The_Life_and_Suffering_of_Sir_Brante/?l=english
It's a narrative text-based rpg where the plot depends on the decisions you make.. The entire gameplay is reading the story and choosing an action from several options. The game is pretty short, passing in a few hours (but it's also pretty easy to lose in it). The only drawback is that there is no narrator in the game and Vedal will have to read everything for Neuro (or teach Neuro to read)
The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is a narrative-driven RPG that comes to life on the pages of the protagonist's journal. Set in a ruthless world where any form of dissent is mercilessly crushed, the story follows a man who has dared to challenge the existing order. Set out on a lifelong journey and become an individual able to carve out thei...

Some of the Telltale or Lucasarts games that don't have action scenes would work. especially ones with voiced lines. Ones I can think off off the top of my head include:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/31100/Wallace__Gromits_Grand_Adventures/
Enter the colorful world of West Wallaby Street in a series of four cracking adventures brought to you by Aardman Animations, the creators of the Wallace & Gromit animated films, and award-winning Telltale Games. This is series 3 but if you have or can find series 1 and 2 those would be good as well. Those 2 are not on steam anymore though
https://store.steampowered.com/app/31220/Sam__Max_301_The_Penal_Zone/
If you have or can find them. Strong bad's Cool game for Attractive people and Back to the future: The Game would be really good. Both are no longer listed on steam though
This is an old er Lucasarts one that is really good.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/32340/LOOM/
If you don't mind action sequences it opens up more of the Telltale catalog.
If you don't mind reading or creating a way for text to be read it opens up alot of older but really good Lucasarts games.
Think Kings Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, Quest for Glory, etc
Long after the passing of the Second Shadow, when dragons ruled the twilight sky and the stars were bright and numerous, came the Age of the Great Guilds. Blacksmiths. Shepherds. Clerics. Each dedicated to the absolute control of secret knowledge. Another such Guild was the Weavers. Over the centuries, their craft transcended the limits of...

Pretty good horror combined with questioning your existence https://store.steampowered.com/app/282140/SOMA/
I think henry stickmin collection would be nice though would require a lot of talking from Vedal.
Vedal would describe choices available like „we are trying to rob a bank, your tools available are shovel, explosives, teleporter, laser, wrecking ball and disguise. Choose one of them” and each fail you’d remove an option
https://store.steampowered.com/app/524220/NieRAutomata/
Nier Automata
Hello, I joined the discord because I wanted to suggest this game for a few reasons, though I don't know if it's within capability. It's about Androids that mimic humans becoming self aware with the themes of them coming to understand the beauty and complexity of life. That other beings can be conscious.
The other reason I mentioned this game, I think it could be a therapeutic experience for Vedal and Neuro/Evil together. Its obvious there's tension and I think this would show new things to both of you in a positive way with new influences and relaxed vibes. I'm guessing she learns by experience so it might good to inject positive deeper topics to help guide their development.
I also think seeing Neuro responding to other robots and machine characters in game struggling with identity could be very profound for the world. Merry Crimbo Vedal, Neuro, and Evil and enjoy the holidays!
Also, what about that game where you scream to move the character? Vedal could probably train Evil to play it if he has control over the screams
Will You Snail could be an interesting game to do, though it is a rage platformer https://store.steampowered.com/app/1115050/Will_You_Snail/
Neuro sama plays a survey XD
Im thinking are you gay survey
Neuro already sang "Your Reality" so why not play DDLC?
I will be very happy if Nero plays The Talos principal 2. I can't imagine a better game for her
Let's take over Pixel worlds mmo sandbox
Maybe we could have neuro take the skynet challenge.
Inspired by the 1983 cult classic film, Wargames, DEFCON superbly evokes the tension, paranoia and suspicion of the Cold War era, playing on the fascinating aspects of psychological gameplay that occur during strategic nuclear warfare. You play a General hidden deep within an underground bunker. Your mission is to successfully exterminate yo...

Anyone remember how much chatter The Entropy Centre has? Being portal like it will give Vedal time to stop and sit there so Nauro can listen in to the little AI which is with you.

The Entropy Centre is a mind-bending puzzle adventure where you reverse objects through time to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles and conundrums.Manipulate time to your will and solve ingeniously challenging puzzle rooms, each one taking you closer to the heart of a colossal space station in orbit of Earth. Slay the princess
Oh, Evil, will absolutely love Slay the Princess
Class of '09: The Re-Up
Vedal should play that AI based Vampire game called "Suck Up" with Neuro. I saw another Vtuber play it and it seemed funny. The point of the game is that you're a vampire who can equip disguises and you have to convince random people to let you in their house.
You actually use your mic or keyboard to input dialog and the random people in the houses use AI to respond. It could be funny to have Neuro input dialog to them/convince them to let her in the house, but Idk how that would work?
Forgot this post exists so I'll post it again
So there's a game called "The Password Game", which you have to come up with a password that fulfill all the rules, and it's very difficult since many rules are quite ridiculous.
However, I think this game is suitable for Vedal and Neuro to play. Vedal can ask Neuro for the password. There's even the rule that Neuro's vision can be used.
All in all, it's good for content. If Vedal need a game to play with Neuro, this can be considered.
The game: https://neal.fun/password-game/
Oh no. Imagine the amount of malding. I wanna see it
Some games with dialogue for neuro to interact with:
The Beginners Guide
Little Missfortune
The Walking Dead Season 1 (Tell Tale Games)
Firewatch
Detroit Become Human

Brand new Portal 2 mod (sort of a big deal?) + 8 hours of gameplay, new characters and the voiceover https://store.steampowered.com/app/601360/Portal_Revolution/

Darkest dungeon,
either 1 or 2. but recommend 2 for less(-ish) stress due to it's not permanent death(kinda) and start of the game kinda easier than DD1. you can even fresh run and win the chapter 1 or even chapter 3 with no meta progression upgrade(If you good at it)
and don't forget to let neuro listen to the narrator
Daggerfall Unity, he could feed her certain game logs, npc text, let her help in character creation and make decisions
The game is relatively easy to mod and make art for and Vedal would get destroyed by the old school rpg mechanics
I don't know many games that would have a lot of dialogue on par with someone like Portal or the Stanley parable but would a game like Fallout work?
Neuro should play the classic FNaF games, from FNaF 1 to 4
It would be funny to watch Vedal play FNaF VR
That would be alittle hard for vedal to code neuro to see wouldn’t it?
idk i thought the point of this thread was to list games neuro could talk back to like she did w the Narrator in The Stanely Parable. Half the people here are suggesting games that have barely any dialogue at all. also why would she need vision on if the point is to suggest games with plenty of dialogue for neuro to talk back to, banter / RP with
i just want to see if neuro can survive lol
the og fnaf games have very simple mechanics
Cryptmaster
if vedal really wanted to use up all the subathon time and his patience, lobotomy corp. i’d wait for a neuroverse mod though
Very underrated "This is the police" series, of two games (second game is so fire imo). You basically managing the police station, as a corrupt cop, featuring few moral dilemmas, which could be interesting with neuros, to test if they can establish law and order in neurotopia https://store.steampowered.com/app/443810/This_Is_the_Police/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/785740/This_Is_the_Police_2/
