#Voting

Why?
i really don't think vedal wants to engage 40,000 people every time he wants a 2 second vibe check tbh. this is just not that serious.
Then join the discord idk
latest thing vedal said on this is
just to fill in if people missed
They won't be mad if they didn't know they had a choice in the first place
if they're not on discord they can't complain
Given the amount of people reacting on #schedule postings, I don't expect that 0.07% percentage increasing by any meaningful amount.
I mean i think that is a better number than 37 people but idk
tbf not everyone has the habit of clicking a "i saw this" mark on social media posts
it's not like it matters at all if you click it or not, unlike the voting
the whole thing happened because vedal hadnt had the schedule done by last dev stream, since he usually has the dev stream viewers vote
i think in cases like those, notifying the dev stream viewers that there will be a schedule vote in the discord later is an optimal alternative
Well I have the whole server sound muted, aside for schedule and announcements. And for stream vote there was 36 votes
Im not talking about pinging 46k people to join a vote for stream, I ask for ping people that would like to have a say on the server that have channels muted
Or are not looking at this channel at the time
also we dont need numbers like 10k votes, only around 5-6k watch streams anyway and i'm sure a big part of those don't care what to watch.
it's about making it visible for people who DO care
I think the more likely outcome is just he doesn't ask again since it caused drama like he said in the screenshots
im ok with that, then we can complain with nothing like conscience(simulated by
gaslighting) stopping us
- makes a poll
- tiny amount of people who know about it vote
- takes it as community vote
- community gets upset
if Vedal decides not to make more votes based on this chain of events, that's crazy
I mean we did the poll from the Game in Halloween to the mortuary assistant and atleast It was pinned if i remember correctly
the horror game poll was floating for around 24 hours
consistently reposted by mods and others in #neurotic-neurons
Just to be clear, FNAF was winning that time
i've seen streamers pop into offline chats and ask 2 people what they should do. Getting any say at all is already a bonus
is not a democracy and our opinions don't matter
I know but thats not why i mean, what i mean IS that atleast you knew what was happening and you had more of a grace period
And it was actively discussed on the Neurotic. The stream question and schedule droping was not even 2hrs apart and poll was burried under spam
I mean if thats what the direction Vedal wants to take sure, but this #neurotic-neurons message is just bullshit
Heck now we didn't even take into account the options now? We only knew what Stream It was when the schedule dropped
it's a quick joke in a discord chat, it's genuiely not that serious
but I'll bow out here, nothing i can say that's not repeating the same things
I mean i guess but if It decides content then there idk what to say
If Vedal decides "no eliv stream this week" sure we will meme the rigging, second child, forgotten etc.
But if Vedal decides community made of 36 people decides and says to us not to blame him for our decision, thats not very nice of him
Just to be sure, what an average amount of people you personally will be satisfied with?
if im among them
I think thats a good example
150 people voting game to play on stream
Even 100 people would be greater than 36
Gotcha
and looking at the amount of people with the role, polls might have even more people joining than 150
Voting is just a mere illusion of democracy. Tutel could just not abide by the results if he wanted to. He uses them to shift the blame. I for one think there's no need for the community to decide anything in this case. Also, stop complaining about every small decision. It just puts unnecessary pressure on him.
he has already said it himself that he's responsible for creating community like this. constantly creating some fictitious reasons to do things when the last say is really in his hands.
it created this idea that there needs to be an excuse for anything to happen and when that excuse doesnt work out going with "i said so" doesnt seem to work anymore
personally im cool with vedal deciding the schedule on his own, my problem was the blame shifting
also im not saying he should start ignoring feedback, im saying IF there are polls, then they should be "what do you guys like?" not "what will this be?". sure that's what vedal meant all along, but it apparently didn't look it for people
I won't be speculating on meaning of a one single message.
For stream decisions like these I don’t think it’s that serious, personally I think he should’ve chosen the stream himself if the community is gonna explode every-time something doesn’t go their way, but if a fair voting system stops that then I’m all for it, if people still keep throwing fits saying it’s rigged or something after this than what was really the point
Easy solution, community shouldn't get upset.
As vedal said this isn't really a democracy he just wants to gauge some opinions
If it was made into a big poll with a ping or something, there would be an expectancy for him to follow that poll (I retract this point as it is invalid, it's my assumption of something that I have no business in.)
At the end of the day it's his channel and he can do whatever he wants, it's not the community's place to get upset over it
Even if in some instances I agree that it makes sense to have polls reach a broader audience (like asking what game to play), that's up to him if he wants to do that, he can make a poll on stream or ping more people etc
I mean with every poll there is expectancy. When you ask people if they want option A or option B, people pick option A with majority they will expect it to be A, when person creating a poll picks option other than majority picked it gets confusing why even pick, no matter if you make it official or no.
In this case people got upset because there was a poll, few people voted in it, it seemed that Vedal seen it as community vote and when rest of us was told that we chose to have this option we got upset because we didnt know about it, and many of us wanted to have an Evil stream this week, many of us want at least 1 Evil stream every week
Also when going back on Neurotic Neurons people were talking about cyberpunk themed stream for Evil (since there was no scheduled Evil stream yet and other option was demon one), and there were some in moment of unrest where people were expecting evil to be on the stream and got upset because of that, so vote might be slightly unclear since people expected to vote on Evil stream options
That's fair
At the end It was just miscomunication no? For the likes of it
I see it as a mix
I think that clarity of intentions from vedal would've make It easier but hey all end that ends well
Ye, lack of clarity really is a big problem here
