I'm looking to make a video analyzing Neuro's chess play, but I'm uncertain about two things.
Firstly, am I allowed to use an image of Neuro in the thumbnail? I'm not sure if that violates some sort of copyright law. My channel isn't monetized anyway, so I'm not even sure if it would fall under personal or commercial use.
Secondly, broadly, how does Neuro play chess? Is it a ground-up neural network, or is she just preprogrammed with a low level stockfish bot or something of that nature?
Any information would be much appreciated. I got recommended a random yt video of Neuro playing chess a week or two ago and have gotten more and more interested ever since.
#Copyright for Neuro? Also chess

Unless someone is generous enough to leak, you won't be told what is used to play the game. Vedal says it's AI but there is no way of knowing for sure
It should be fine to use neuro in your thumbnail, as for chess it should be a "normal" chess ai, but i cant confirm so you should wait for vedal
Using neuros face in thumbnails is ok I mean look at the clippers. As for the chess AI, I might be wrong but Vedal might have said once on a dev stream that it's his own built up AI, I might be wrong though
I also thought about the fact that clippers use Neuro's image, but I'm afraid that it's both possible that they a)got permission from Vedal or b)it's simply not enforced yet.
Wikipedia's image for Neuro has a page showing that it counts as "non-free use", implying Neuro is not public domain and is copyrighted.
As for chess AI, if it's his own built up AI, that's really cool! I'm super excited to see it improve
first time I have ever heard of this. Though im sure there are no problems using neuros face in the thumbnail. Credit vedal/neuro in the description and you should be fine.
