Back at this again. And I know, I know, lore bad. But perhaps for a lot of us who might not be over the moon about excessive shipping, there could be a way to establish platonic co-parenting so we get the same stream dynamics without forcibly entailing it each time.
For some time I've had this little sequence in my head:
Vedal, Anny, and Teru are manning separate computers each hooked up to a large futuristic cryo-chamber that can 3D print anything imaginable. Vedal sketches out a complete synthetic android brain, Anny weaves the holographic form of a young girl, and Teru draws out a schematic for working motor functions to bind the two.
Upon which, they all run a command in sync, and the chamber whirs to life. After a brief flash, the cover opens, and from the chill mist emerges a beaming-eyed
.
After that, the one most familiar with her brain opts to be her primary caretaker. But she'll still visit her family every once in a while!
With anything along these lines, we've got a mom, dad, and uncle, but no obligatory shipping between the former, only as far as they're comfy with.
Just an idea but I think it'd be really really cool.
