#Can something be done about automod?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Especially during time sensitive instances such as the r/place and canvas wars. I had to give up poetry completely during r/place because the automod was too difficult. Is there some way to deal with it?
right now mods are working on improving automod, if you find any mistakes report it to them
it wont get fixed if you keep it to yourself
That's why i wrote the complaint
Not much can be done if you dont provide what was automodded, theres been alot of false flagging because its being changed, a complain cant fix much stuff
when you report those false flags, mods usually get on this instantly if they're available
I already said why it was automodded, that being text is too long
Automod doesn't filter things because they are too long
But it's a bit too schizo right now so it filters a bunch of stuff it shouldn't
We're working on fixing it
yep
Oh ok then
Wait if that's true then why is me posting a complete poem censored but me cutting a poem in half or thirds not censored?
nevermind it seems i was wrong
there was in fact a max message length
but that was handled by @round socket not by automod
so i got confused
I don't think messages should automatically be deleted for being too long, I remember in one of the early days, before #1095948590947500113 was created, I had written a message (that wasn't even that long in my opinion, just three sentences I think) and it got automatically deleted. I wasn't told why by the bot or any of the mods and it wasn't mentioned in the rules so I thought I had said something bad and got the impression that criticism wasn't allowed on the server which put me off for quite a while.
Ah ok, yeah it makes posting my poems impossible unless i write it in a gdoc. Which seems a bit unreasonable. Especially in situations like the pixel wars where i post them to be read right before or during events
So is that going to be changed or, is the cap permnanet?
I mean, the reason i know it exists is because the poetry i wrote was fine and didn't break any rules. I couldn't, i only have so many syllables per line. So unless it could read the full poem Which is broken up into different lines and then get any of the underlying meaning of the poems, there's no way for it to censor the poem.
Yeah you are right, #1095941852068331560 was capped at around 500 characters per message
I'm not sure why
But that has been removed now
So it won't be a problem anymore
