Am i the only one slightly bothered about the fact that it’s literally impossible to get VIP with channel points without gambling?
Like, even now, the price of VIP is going up faster than it’s possible to accrue channel points naturally from watching the streams. and that’s WITH being subbed, never spending points, donating bits, AND gifting, (gifts and bits give a few bonus points once a month)

I haven’t missed a single stream since I started watching in December during the osu days.

Since then, the price of VIP has gradually gone up to 800% of what it used to be. And due to not gambling on predictions, the vip has only been gradually getting further and further away despair

The 5neuros inflation is worse than the economy in real life catdespair

Ok but in all seriousness it’s not actually something that matters, it’s just something I thought was kinda funny, and a little odd, rather than actually being a big deal.

In reality, the subathon (whenever that happens) is probably gonna rememdy whatever “problem” there is with how fast the VIP price keeps going up

So, as the one who has farm channel points for months and even sub tier 3 to grind faster, now I don't want to do that anymore when I woke up and saw the price today

To be honest many people are already making recommendations on how to fix this issue too.

Someone recommended using the ELO system, but for me i think it should be sub age, but I'm not sure how that would work flawlessly

To think I have to stay up for the stream every time, spent extra money on gift subs and bits to get points faster, and cannot spend my points, only to find out gamba is the only way to get VIP, makes me feel stupid now

Yeah i was never a fan of the gambling. I would’ve preferred if points could only go up naturally as well.

Every time i got close it kept getting more expensive every time a stream had predictions active. Then after the ksp stream incident, I finally gave in to the gamba due to realizing it would LITERALLY be impossible otherwise. And that instantly worked

But like i said, it’s not like it’s actually a big deal, it just feels a little off to get punished for not gambling

Twitch gamba is also unfair. Many people cant even participate in it, so you have situation where you sit on your stream for 6 months, watch every stream, collect all rewads including gifting subs and bits you collect like ~~100 - 150k points and thats all you can do.
Meanwhile some1 in other region logs in on stream, gets 300 points for follow, gamba's and gets same or more in 1 sitting

I think the gambling aspect of points is fun, as long as no one takes the economy too serious, but with option to suplement bits donation with channel points it gets a bit more complicated evilShrug

I think the points price of vip isn’t something to care about too much, in all seriousness. Since that only matter to people who aren’t spending their points on redeems anyway.

But the price of TTS and stuff actually DOES matter, since it directly impacts the viewing experience
