i don't know if this will be used or not but reddit is doing some stuff which is heavily hinting towards an r/place happening soon so i guess if ya'll want to build something we can organise in this thread

I wouldnt participate in r/place, not only 80% of the community will refuse to do it, but reddit themselves might not do it as a "punishment"

reddit has spent hundreds of engineering hours on preparing r/place for this year, it was ready in May and was supposed to lunch for reddits birthday, but the execs had other priority with the API announcement and the following protests.

reddit has no reason to keep all the (currently dead weight) r/place code that sitting in all their releases sitting there for another year, they want to run the even asap

Mikarific has datamined the reddit app so much she at one point was placing pixels (it was on pxls.space, but still, everything except the canvas part is known)

we thought it was june 23rd because that's what reddit told the mods of popular subreddits in march, but then the protests happened and r/place didn't

this is all complicated af, and reddit sucks big time, I'm personally only going to place pixels and not even interact with the subreddit part of r/place even though I'm one of the leaders of osu!

I wasn't really stressed on this one. It just became pretty much the only thing I did that week and I spent a lot of time doing it and don't feel like jumping right into another one immediately. Actually helped me de-stress a little by distracting me from my impending MCAT results.
