#Zh (zh-TW/zh-CN) Channel

I actually did a poll today to investigate the need for a zh server, and 73% of the 2,170 votes agreed. Some viewers suggested that we should first ask if it is possible to create a zh channel here, and I totally agree. That's why I made this suggestion.
If mods has any concerns about this suggestion, feel free to ask :)
After reading everyone's ideas, I also came to support

Some people might say that it’s not far to add the channel because there are also a lot of people that talk Spanish, Russian, etc and if they don’t also add a channel for every language they may get upset about it. But for me I don’t mind go for it <3
Sorry for my poor English, if you didn’t understand something I said fell free to dm me <3
that might be true, but what about jp channel? (jp channel is kinda dead right now though)
also I don't hate the idea of the creation of other language channel as long as many people use it
Some people prob are angry about the Jpn channel, and if they create a channel for every language they can’t garante to have active members talking there + if they do it maybe some members will stop talking in #general-network and just talk in their own language channel, witch is bad
I believe that there're many people don't even speak here at all because they don't feel comfortable communicating in English, that's why there's a need for other language channels
People already used to talk in English will continued to chat in #general-network , while others can have a better place to chat, that shouldn't be a bad thing
Management can be a problem though, but we can see what mods think first :)
Yes, the most important thing is to see how the administrator thinks
About the mods, they prob need mods that speak language, else how are they going to moderate it? And prob they need more than 1 mod cuz that one mod isn’t 24/7 on discord
jp channel was barely added due to lack of moderators, i dont think we have any en-zh speakers that want to be mod
use this as a Chinese forum to test the activity?
i'd advise you to not do that
its not a question about activity, its about moderating
I think the most hard thing is rule8
Different languages needs free place from this rule
We don't want to get banned but we want to talk with each other
still, whos gonna moderate the chats?
we cant just have mods for every language

Can you be a mod for a rus chat with me?
you wont be mods
If the question will be asked
its not just about moderation for rus chat
We can be volunteers anyway
there would still need to be a mod
Someone who is lower than mods
well, if it is established, then I can
To help mods to watch over chat
Let me redirect you to an old discussion about it #suggestions message and let me explain in detail, we select mods based on their mod application, there’s a selection process that needs to be made, we can’t just pick whoever just cause they volunteer, there are several factors, availability (timezones), experience (very important), activeness and others. Selfmoderation is not an option, #general-network and vcs are a clear example of that, the “trolling” moments, people burying other people’s mistake in an attempt to not get caught, the rules apply to vc as well btw, dont think that it doesn’t and don’t think we won’t notice.
As for the language channels, as seen with the japanese channel, even if participation may be high in yt polls, that doesn’t directly translate that everyone there is going to join, our jp moderator marimo runs one of the biggest jp tl channel for neuro, he brought a portion of the jp fanbase here and it didn’t go as planned as you can see by the lack of activity, so we stopped with any plans of adding other language channels entirely, someone mentioned that it may be the lack of a live translator for neuro and the stream times which are fair complaints but they can’t be implemented/fixed fast, there are other priorities for neuro that need more focus than this
So I guess it's a no, correct?
That's unfortunate, but understandable. I really appreciate your explanation in such detail nonetheless
I think I know what to do next, which I won't talk about it here :)
Correct, but feel free to apply for moderator if you meet the requirements (link in #1095956760763846701 ), i mean the possibility is not entirely discarded, but it wont happen anytime soon
Got it, thank you!
In which case you will think about multilingual channels again? If there would be mod on this language and activity?
There are more factors than that as mentioned in the last paragraph
I mean you could apply and get in the staff team but that doesn’t mean that we’ll make a channel right away cause of the stuff mentioned
'Cause of the bad experience, am I right? And a lil 'cause of Neuro's language?
'Cause actually non-dangerous vc is all that we needed, we love Neurocord and love ru-community, we wanna chat with other fans like others do, but we can't because of language barrier, we don't want to get banned from here eh
We don't want anybody to feel uncomfortable
It's understandable, I get it, just saying what's the actual problem
It's not really a problem, just the topic of a discussion, but several unlimited vcs would be great actually
about vcs, i am dumb, there are already three of them
sry
Free barking means that you can speak not on English? :D
If yes, than great
But I afraid not, or yes?
It’s unfortunate yeah but I actually didnt expect to have non english speaking members join as neuro only speaks in English, yes i expected other language fans due to clip translators but not for them to join the server, I mean it’s in the rules, so it’s unfortunate but it is what it is
i think not, but my idea was about making several vcs just in case of not disturbing anybody
Trying to get around by finding loopholes is also in the rules
Yes!!!
We don't want to
so if there is an every non-english meetup, it cant be done in this discord channel? am i right?
And don't want to get banned also :D
It can but they have to speak English
Most of us are suck in it :_D
also we dont allow neuro related servers to be made/promoted
use it to practice <3
you kinda cant control that...
Of course it's cool, but it's not cool when you spend more time while translating and trying to pronounce then actually talking
I mean they can’t be posted here
thats part of practicing <3 (im also not the greatest in english but i still practice in this chat rooms :))
ya but thats just about it, what you guys can control <3
this "made" thing is about public servers i suppose
Me too, but after talking here I began to appreciate my language even more
It's really exhausting and not so necessary for some people
we’ve got eyes everywhere
<3
Monopoly? "":D
Prevention for misinformation
Even if it's for making rule8-free space?
Like, we also want to follow the rules
We want to follow the rules so much that we can't talk with our countrymans ekh
What shall we do to make open for newbies russian fans of Neurosama voice chat?
I hope I'm not annoying you too much :_D
