For now on the #starboard for each post you can see only number of stars it got.
Sometimes posts with huge amount of skulls are starred for the sake of repost to make it visible for more people.
It would be nice if starboarded posts like those had also number of skulls displayed next to the stars to avoid confusion and to see real community reaction on the post.

making another entire bot just to show other reactions to starboarded posts is a huge time investment for very little extra features, and the associated maintenance and such is not something i would think is particularly interesting to vedal when he already has so much to maintain with neuro and her code base

if this is a feature you'd like to see on the bot, you'd probably have the most luck suggesting this as a feature to the team maintaining the starboard bot itself as opposed to our staff here, we just use the bot's existing features

we aren't looking to host (or have hosted) custom bots, the maintenance and communication among other things make for a lot more work than just using pre-existing, externally hosted and sharded bots which have dedicated teams to keeping them running, such options are sadly things we won't be considering for the near future

quick update: the cog actually already has support for multiple emotes that can be configured, so no modification to make it act as both.. you just need to find a verified red bot instance that has starboard
