#Neuro-sama Rimworld storyteller.

Soo, a couple of days ago Baa made a comment about integrating Neuro into Rimworld (<#neurotic-neurons message>).

I'm not quite doing that, I'm building a mod to add a new storyteller to the game (and a few more things) all themed around Neuro.

Currently Neuro is just a copy of Randy Random but I plan to change her behaviour to fit more Neuro's cute/wholesome moments and unhinged moments, its going to be a quite random storyteller which will have difficulty spikes and moments where not much is happening.

To theme it better towards Neuro, I'm adding custom events and factions to the game (like the Swarm)

Feel free to give me suggestions, ideas, feedback and what not!

(mods if this shouldnt be a suggestion or discussion feel free to bonk me)

hmmm, it's been a while since I played/messed around with Rimworld but here's an idea for the neuro storyteller (if you haven't done anything about it already of course)

The description says schizo so maybe the good/bad event distribution looks like this:

Num| Good | Bad | Major Threat
0 60%. 40%. 0%
1 45%. 45%. 10%
2 35%. 50%. 15%
3 20%. 60%. 20%
4 20%. 55%. 25%
5+ 20%. 40%. 40%

Where NUM is the amount of consecutive bad/major threat events.
This distribution would mean that the colony can quickly dive into a death spiral only to be saved by a single good event that gives some time to recover

Or if you want it to be slightly more forgiving/fair, have NUM only be bad events, so inconveniences spiral into a final raid/infestation before letting up on the difficulty

I might see if I can learn some Rimworld modding for this

i havent messed with difficulty yet, but ill definitely keep it in mind, been mostly creating the new faction and events for now

Anyway, if Kaz is going to focus on storyteller/events here's what I hope to do:

New research:
(spacer tech):
Cake Production --> CopyPaster/ChatBot --> Advanced Cake Production --> V3 Model

Cake Production: Alloys you to produce Cake at kitchens
CopyPaster: A 5x research table that requires Cake as an upkeep
ChatBot: Produces silver passively, requires cake to build
Advanced Cake Production: Allows the production of advanced cake at a kitchen
V3 Model: Consumes large amounts of cake and power to produce quest type items, requires advanced cake to build

Items:
Cake: Basically a more expensive lavish meal
Advanced Cake: An extremely expensive lavish meal requiring human flesh, vegetables, uranium

The idea for these cakes is that they work as chemfuel/components for the modded buildings (and to maintain modularity so it doesn't conflict with anything)

CopyPaster: A 5x research table that either requires cake as upkeep or just to build, funny joke but also lets Vedal get through the grindy tech faster (perhaps even in a single stream)
ChatBot: Probably the weakest of them all, I have no idea how I'd code this or if it's even worth it, Produces Silver slowly using power/cake

V3 Model, 2nd weakest idea of them all, used to turn advanced cake into quest items so Neuro can smite her enemies with overwhelming firepower AND to produce reviving/healing mechanites (so we don't lost Anny/Vedal/Neuro to a stray meteor)
