open it up, select the folder, select a 640x360 jpg as preview image and fill up the description and tags and off you go
whats neat is that you can have bunch of different versions so you can support various game updates at the same time i guess
also if something is wrong the SCS tool has pretty good error messages

Gymbag has a nice view in the Volvo
Took me some fiddling to figure out how to get that in the game. As it happens, the tutorial I was following involved creating an entirely new locator for the truck, which seemed ... tedious. Also it was misleading me on what the unit file needed to contain.
If you just want to use one of the existing accessory locators, your def should be under that folder (toybed in this case) in the truck's accessories folder e.g. "/def/vehicle/truck/(truck name)/accessory/toybed/gymbag.sii".

After exporting, but before conversion and packing, I originally had to move my PIT and PIM files where I wanted the PMD file to end up ( "/vehicle/truck/upgrade/toybed/share/gymbag/" ) because when I use the exporter alone it doesn't put them in the right place, it just dumps them in the mod root, and the accessory lacks a model in-game. But the Export option under Clean/Export/Convert does it right.
In the def file, I used "accessory_addon_data : gymbag.volvo.fh16_2012.toybed" and "interior_model:" with the path above for the PMD

Is there a locator for placing things in the center floor? I saw something that implied there was one, but I haven't found it in the defs or the models yet.
The model locator is the origin for the model + orientation (or for animation, but that is very deep to explain, can if want)

gmod like ragdoll would be godlike in those situations, but sadly as far as my animation knowledge goes in ETS2 it's not possible

The problem is that there are no inputs
you cannot give values to it so it has reactive animation
Would be funny to be honest if she cycled between what she looked at, it'd be funny if Vedal looked over to Neuro and she's just staring at him

I think it's probably the root of your armature, but I'd have to look at it to be sure. Those dashed lines coming off of it could be parent relationships for sommething with an offset.

That's all this does. There aren't any player owned trailers in this (I've only got the Tutel Transport one that I posted a pic of earlier). Player owned trailers use a completely different UV map so I basically have to rebuild them from scratch to allow that.

ive done some test with the original size with a wide collider (you can set up the collider as big as you want) and it was fine
you definitely get caught on street poles or signs
im fairly certain the game treats the load as part of the trailer, it doesnt get its own physics
still quite wide, gonna have to drive slightly on the centre to clear everything
i guess in highway is less of an issue
it finally loaded, the model and didnt crash and it loaded it with (most textures) and didnt crash thank god

Well, as far as I can tell, the automats generated simply appear to be pointing to skin files that don't exist. Took the Traffic vehicles out and everything worked again.
i had some issues with automats too

keep the old neuro noises one if you want just as a backup, i added neuro "aaaaaaaah" when you have a "hard" crash but ets seems quite conflicted when that is, if it gets too much switch to the old one

As for my stuff, the AI trailers just appear in world automatically. The Gymbag has to be bought like any other accessory, and the player owned Tutel Transport skin is bought just like Kaz's trailer except mine's just on the dry and freezer trailers, not the curtainsider for now (because the UVs are slightly different).

The VOD has background music playing on top of the radio, making the footage unusable
OK, I had the stabilizer working. It seems to help, but recording it appears to cause hitching. (Recording ETS2 might cause hitching even without it on my system, I'll have to test further) Not sure yet how well it'll do with streaming.

I think ETS2/ATS mods are mostly textures, models, sounds, maps, and in-game traits. Not much to code in that I know of. i might be wrong, though.
its possible something could be done out of game using the telemetry maybe (https://blog.scssoft.com/2015/02/a-look-on-technical-side-telemetry-sdk.html) to feed neuro info, akin to the amongus plugin, but not sure what would be fun.

Well, I somehow got the above version to work by making a zip manually. When I tried clean exporting it from Blender properly, it looks the same except it has the pink and white checkboard, so I assume the first version just didn't have the UV mapping correct. As far as I can tell, the paths in the resulting zip are correct, including the automat.
The DDS texture and tobj file are in the zip file under vehicle/truck/upgrade/f_grill/share/vedal/textures/
The tobj file contains the path /vehicle/truck/upgrade/f_grill/share/vedal/textures/VedalHead.dds
The automat file contains texture[0] : "/vehicle/truck/upgrade/f_grill/share/vedal/textures/VedalHead.tobj"

you have to replace the nuero instances, also you need to do a few things in the model:
you need to create a coll SCS Parts in the root object

Figured out how to use the model previewer to line up textures on the actual model, so these hexes are a lot easier.

It is hanging from where the cubes are; Sqbika gave me the cube def file yesterday. Other than changing that to get the model working, I just made it a singular bag rather than two and tweaked the orientation accordingly.
Unless you meant hang the FULL-SIZED version there. LMAO. I did make the hanging decoration a bit larger after the screenshot I posted, though, because I felt it got lost.

i went to port Neuro Noises to ATS but i just cant get the truck def files when i extract def.scs or base.scs for that matter

When i was having issues extracting the files it turned out it was dumping them in the game directory instead of where i wanted. But if it extracts anything, thats probably not it.

I'm trying to figure out how I extracted this WS4800 mod when I started working on the turtle head, because now I can't get most of its SCS files to extract properly, with either Mods Studio or the SCS extractor.
Well, this is sort of a problem. ATS box trailer UVs for AI Traffic seem to be mapped so you can only change the area covered by the colored grid, and in-game the white sections are just the edge of the texture stretched forward and back (this behavior is probably controlled by the material. I know there are edge clamping options in the source tobj files, and the white portion can be recolored in the previewer).
Edit: In their infinite wisdom, SCS apparently did not include an SCS_Box traffic trailer in ATS that has the entire side of the trailer covered by the texture, except for the 28 foot (which is so short that I'd have to change the designs anyway).

The AI traffic trailers that have relatively simple designs (like Snegglings or Fun AI) aren't too problematic, but the way traffic trailers are skinned in ATS (i.e. none of the box trailers longer than 28 foot are fully texturable) is an issue for the skins that are meant to cover the entire length of the trailer with repeating patterns or imagery, such as Tutel Transport.
IIRC, it looked like it might be possible to specify in the .sui file that a particular kind of AI traffic uses an owned trailer instead of the traffic trailer, so I could maybe go that route, but I haven't tested it and that's still a lot of work because owned trailers use a more complex UV layout. The existing owned Tutel Transport trailer skin will also need to be remapped to get it into ATS.
The Gymbag could be converted fairly easily.

No, you cannot add random mods to TruckersMP. You can technically add them as a "local edit", but it sucks and might lead to a ban.
Also, if TruckersMP is an option, please use Arcade servers, since they don't have truck-to-truck collision there + rules are simplified.
If there is a need, I can provide more information and help for TruckersMP.

- They don't provide dedicated servers to firstcomers, you have to be prominent in TruckersMP community to have a chance.
- They have a very extensive system for ban evading, should you choose to have multiple ones.

That's why i say it would be a request, basically a media exchange. since there's specific time the servers are not loaded anyway. a separate account should be best also since the usernames appearing should be in uniform format. it's not a technical issue but a commercial one
They don't provide such things. If you want to host an event and your community is far from TruckersMP, you'd be better to use Arcade server for ease of moderation.
During COVID, multiple F1 racers were joining TruckersMP, and they were instructed to use Arcade servers.

You don't need an officially recognised event/dedicated server to have fun with the community. It is only required when you need a moderation assistance (since only Game Moderators can moderate the servers and control the traffic flow).

- Events are essentially a big town board, where you can post your event and let other players know. They don't have any exemption from the rules and not covered by Game Moderation as a separate traffic flow.
- Dedicated servers might be provided for the Event should your event have more than X amount of approved attendees. This will allow you to ask for moderation assistance and the ability to set your own rules for the event, including a traffic control team of your own.
