Anything to be said for giving an opponent an [[eater of days]]
Oh it’s already there, I missed it
i think beamtown is one of those: the main issue is the play pattern and how oppressive it could be. idk whenever the budget part is relevant or important but its like the win con is basically one other card in grave = one shot someone with a nearly unstoppable, uncounterable ability in the command zone
yep, [[leveler]] is in there
that combo aspect of it can be more problematic when it happens? and how it is perceived at its power level
for reference, there is a "second copy" of perpetual timepiece called [[throne of grim captain]]
: Mill two cards.
(
, Exile this artifact, Exile the four from among permanents you control and/or cards in your graveyard: Return this card transformed under its owner's control. Craft only as a sorcery.)The Grim Captain
Legendary Creature — Skeleton Spirit Pirate
Menace, trample, lifelink, hexproof
Whenever The Grim Captain attacks, each opponent sacrifices a nonland permanent of their choice. Then you may put an exiled creature card used to craft The Grim Captain onto the battlefield under your control tapped and attacking.
7/7
the tap mill is all that matters on it
and seeing how low the score is compare to many other deck, i feel like you may want to keep it that way, rule 0 conversation to be open with the table especially to those that are aware/unaware what beamtown can normally do
with all the Hermit druid mill, unmarked grave tutor, i think it is a natural assumption you want to remove leveler to stay "saltless" B2
unless ofc you think otherwise, or imposed a self restriction to never take out "the first" player with it
having it in your grave with beamtown out also means a knife on their throat/ gun in their mouth since if anything goes your way, you can always host all actions hostage during their turn
[[!the beamtown bullies]] was very interesting by design but giving it all the abilities on it, at instant speed activation, may have been an oversight by the designers
oh, just noticed, i wasnt killed by leveler deck out, it was [[inverter of truth]] so basically same thing and it was irrelevant to the outcome of the game
