#Most of my decks don't fit any bracket, what do I do?

I have not played MTG actively for over a year now and I want to come back. Brackets seem to dominate everything and almost all of my decks are B4 by default with few being able to keep up there. I really don't want to rework over a dozen decks beyond recognisability or remove staple cards I've accrued over the years of playing. I used to mainly play midpower which is a level not represented by any bracket.

Brackets are all about intent - if you want to play at the higher powerlevel with no restrictions, then stick with B4. Otherwise lower them to B3, your choice. Or find a playgroup that doesn't care either way

I dont want to go from creature combat and deadeye nav combos to thoracle and breach nonsense just because i want to play my cards that i've taken years to get and have used for years or to use certain strategies. What would my intent be? Im not sure. Here is an example decklist im having this issue with.

Very fair for the midpower i used to play, the intent is to get value from sphinxes and then beat down people with extra turns(blue craterhoof as i like to call it), there's also an un-tutorable backup combo in there. Pretty glass and commander reliant, people use to call it bad hence the name. I'm not sure where the intent with this deck would fit?

Also somehow my mono green turbo deck is the one deck close to being B3 certified despite being stronger than the above linked deck?(it's the exception in my mid decks).

I think you my need to have a more in depth rule 0 conversation. The main theme of your deck is off meta with the sphinx's but your shell is really strong, especially for anything below B4. You have almost all the best interaction that mono blue can provide. I understanding not wanting to play against thassa/breach but I would call this deck B4. Maybe its just about having a conversation about your personal wants or not wants. The bracket system was supposed to be a way to start the rule 0 conversation but it doesnt have to be the language you communicate in. Im sure there is a pod who will play with you, just expressing the high power of the single cards in your deck is all you should have to do.

#

TLDR: Your deck is firmly a B4, if you dont want to play against Thassa/Breach then you probably just have to have a longer rule 0 conversation.

#

The bracket system is definetly not perfect though. And there should be a way to define decks like yours without putting them against turn 2 brain freeze infinites.

I only have one actual B4 ready deck on par with what i expect in B4 and i just don't feel like constantly defaulting to it whenever i can't do r0.

Yeh the game changers being so explicit do not go well with the implicit nature of rest of the criteria.

I just finished a match with some old friends where we all used decks like this, i just can't rely on that to regularly play. MLD even happened and there was zero salt. Im wondering where medium powered but with no deckbuilding restrictions and a ton of gc's would be played. Could i ask for it in the #lfg-lobby maybe? Basically every single person i used to regularly play online with has this same issue, which is a lot of people. The server i was in people played purely on powerlevel but not vibes, which is what i prefer.

I asked a friend how he deals with b4 fast combo decks with his avacyn wipes and hatebears, he said "i don't, sadly". Had another person say they just play cedh now even though they are sad they cantplay their decks anymore, and a few others stick to barely playing and talking about how theyd considered reworking entire decks to downgrade or upgrade but not wanting to as that's just not fun.

EDIT: Tbh, sorry for writing this wall of text, i just feel like me and others i used to know are entirely unaccommodated when we were used to a fairer system. I got back to my favourite hobby and i feel pushed out.
