Hi guys, could really use some help finalizing my first ever deck build (commander, bracket 3) (https://moxfield.com/decks/zhlmLHc5KUiXXFfgoSRcPg). The priorities are: budget-friendly, fun (for the entire table), chaotic, in that order. I feel like its missing something... maybe better win con? a little bit of tempo? more damage-based sorceries/instants? thanks in advance for your help!

pretty much no bad cards except for the generic coinflip weaker stuff. may want to swap out [[steam augury]] since its a much weaker fact or fiction
opponent choosing what goes to oyur hand completely makes from good to bad
unless the 1 card is going to end the game and so you can get like 4 out of it
need a balance between the 5 cards to get the pile you want
land count is on the lower side with the deck's curve
but as long as you get the card draw going and not miss land drops, you should be fine
below 50% getting 5 drop out (not including ramp rocks
[[goblin electromancer]] helps with spells but not creatures
nothing wrong it, just less synergy with commander coin flip stuff
[[storm king;s thunder]] looks fun. cost is on the higher side and there may not be a spell you want to copy all the time
[[swerve]] is just [[redirect]] but looks cooler
i havent seen redirect for so long i feel like it isnt very popular in the format?
note that redirect can change multiple targets
for similar effect, [[$boltbend]] is not as budget

$3.75 • €4.45
Foundations
$3.16 • €3.06 • 0.02 TIX
The List
$4.03
War of the Spark
$3.32 • €3.39 • 0.03 TIX
i think [[$ricochet trap]] is budget
The List
$0.38
Worldwake

but obviously much weaker
[[Zndrsplt's Judgment]] can be swap for something less thematic but stronger since making a clone for a creature you control is limited
Sorcery
For each player, choose friend or foe. Each friend creates a token that's a copy of a creature they control. Each foe returns a creature they control to its owner's hand.
Zndrsplt retired from officiating when she teamed up with Okaun, but she still knows the penalties better than anyone else.
can and ?Should? run tutor to get your most important piece of the deck, the thumb
overall, the deck has everything it needs. you can play around and adjust it as you like. i pointed out what may be good cuts for more room
@fast solarmy guess is that you either played cards/commander before or find a lot of builds ahead of time
Fun deck theme!
I looks like you primary wincon is swinging out with Okaun after getting an engine of flip coin cards on the battlefield. You would need 4 coin flips and some kind of evasion to take someone out with commander damage. [[key to the city]] is my favorite evasion card. Have you considered copies? [[Rite of replication]] or similar cards could take a wacky one time effect and trigger a chaotic storm of coin flips and devastating effects. Also, evasion for your commander is important. I don’t know of any coin flip evasion to stay on theme. If you like non permanents, you could try [[reverberate]] or [[double vision]] to copy your instants/sorceries. These would slow the deck down but really pile on the explosiveness of the deck.
whats the target for rite of replication beside opponent's creatures?
my reason for potentially cutting znd's judgment was due to lack of good targets
Your right, there are not alot of targets. My idea is you would create 4+ copies of a “flip a coin” permanent and threaten lethal that way. Minotaur, Sliver, Creepy doll, Goo, Goblin Assassin was what I was thinking but that’s not a lot of payoffs. I’m assuming these are the only cards that say “flip a coin”.
ther maybe a few more, but flip a coin creatures are just jank in general XD
i did pull off my rite of replication last night on my [[spark double]] so i basically got near infinite mana and cast my whole deck XD, but in dimir i dont have the combat damage to win so it took long turn
Is it the big octopus?
I am finding my love for copies right now. They can just go so crazy if unchecked.
Yep you got it it the in universe [[Marvo, deep operative]] whenever you make a innuendo joke + jank deck or clone storm midrange stax, it is very flexible
Legendary Creature — Octopus Rogue
Whenever Marvo attacks, clash with defending player. (Each clashing player reveals the top card of their library, then puts that card on their choice of the top or bottom. A player wins if their card had a greater mana value.)
Whenever you win a clash, draw a card. Then you may cast a spell from your hand with mana value 8 or less without paying its mana cost.

Can I see the decklist?
[[Quantum misalignment]] or other “copy legendary” effects would be better then Rite of Rep
i dont have a online version recorded sorry, but i can list many cards/ a certain number of some types i want (clone/top deck manipulation etc)
rite of rep is 5 tokens, simple as that
also i have enough non legendary win cons
Thanks for all your responses! I've finalized the deck thats for the input it rlly helped!
Before making this deck i played 1 round of commander, but im a sucker for theorycrafting and optimizing etc. But Ill take it as a big compliment 😄
Thanks I really like the key to the city card, I think ill find a place for it!
