Building a Hamza deck and would love some thoughts and opinions on it! Honestly just wanting to have a big stopmy G/W deck

I've got a similar deck, running heliod the sun crowned for counters and life gain. Got Serra's avatar in with pariah enchanted on it. Give it lifelink for blocking and become effectively immortal

It's quickly become one of my favorite sleeper decks. When I get the opportunity I'll throw the deck list your way

One of the first commander decks I built was Hamza, and this looks a lot like some of my initial lists... I ran into the issue of having too many payoffs for having counters, but not enough stuff that actually put counters on my board. Don't know if you have that issue of not, but something like Bristly Bill, or Luminarch Aspirant (budget friendly) are great for getting a counter on a creature each turn. Grateful Apparition and Metastatic Evangel are great for growing your board, and Kodoma of the West Tree is awesome for ramp and also gives your board trample... also, the pet card in my Hamza deck is Iridescent Hornbeetle... it requires a little math, but I always think it's hilarious (especially since you are running Cathar's Crusade)

Hey guys, did a big revamp of the deck! Put a lot more stuff that adds counters but now I'm worried that I don't have a finisher lol

My knee-jerk reaction to hearing that you want a finisher is to say Fangs of Kalonia or Triumph of the Hordes, but I guess that depends on what a good finisher is to you... Pathbreaker Ibex isn't a terrible option either, but it's a huge telegraph of what's gunna happen if you untap with it, so most people prefer Maze-End Forerunners or Craterhoof... I saw that it got cut, but even just reliably growing a Champion of Lambholt will just end games for some people

Are you intentionally running the infinite combo of Herd Baloth and Ivy Lane denizen? If you are, cool, if not I wanted to let you know it was there

Figured it was worth pointing out... I know some play groups try to stay away from infinites and it's awkward to realize you have one midgame, lol
But the deck looks fun! I'd be curious to hear how often you get to cast some of those creatures with two and three colored pips... I cut a lot of mine over time, but that was mostly because I like to make myself the problem as early as possible 🤣

sadly didnt get to try it out tonight but ill let you know how it goes! i like to take my time as the problem, when i feel like being the threat i take out my eldrazi deck! haha

Dude! Hamza-Eldrazi (Hamdrazi?) was a thing I was toying around this for awhile! Never got it to work quite right, but I come back to it every now and then
That's the current list. The Considering section is always got stuff in it that I wanna try out. Hopefully you see something cool in there for your build

Resourceful Defense is a good substitute for Ozolith, and it's only like $6-7
