#Human Tribal, I guess?

So, here is my other deck, made from ground up. I just saw Anafenza on our collection and just tried it, since we don't have any tri-colored commander yet that time.

Any suggestions for this to be more consistent? I find it hard to win on multiplayer, but I usually can win on a 1 on 1.

It looks like you're kind of caught between two archetypes: +1/+1 counters and human tribal. Focusing on one will really help the consistency. For instance, cards like Coppercoat Vanguard get a lot better when you have more than ~15 humans in the deck. Or Sigarda's Summons gets better when you have more reliable ways to put +1/+1 counters on creatures.

#

When you're caught between archetypes, you can run into the issue of drawing cards meant for different strategies that have no interaction between each other. For instance, drawing Coppercoat Vanguard and Sigarda's Summons together does very very little to advance your gameplan.

#

Each can be powerful cards, but they need more support than what your list is currently doing.

So, if I want to focus on Human tribal, I better change my commander also? But if with +1/+1 counters, I can stick with Anafenza?

Anafenza is a fine human tribal commander, she could totally work for either strategy

naive prairie

Oh okay. So with that, I can start by cutting off I guess, non-human that gives counters like Sigarda's Summons, Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, Corpsejack Menace, and such?

Yep

Thanks! Will start to look for more humans now

yeye will do!

5 Boardwipes is a lot of wipes for a deck with so many creatures. I'd recommend cutting the Extinguish all Hope, Deadly Tempest, and whichever of the remaining ones least excites you.

#

Trepanation Blade feels very out of place, it doesn't really jive with anything else in the list as far as I can tell?

#

Kwende looks out of place as there's really not enough first strike to support their ability

#

Similarly, I don't think you have enough keywords for Odric to feel powerful, but I can understand keeping them in for now (or adding a few more humans with good keywords to help support Odric)

#

I don't see enough death triggers or tokens for Teysa Karlov to feel very impactful

#

I don't think this is the deck for Hunting Grounds. You don't have any quick ways of getting threshold and most of the creatures you would be putting into play are pretty cheap anyways. Hunting Grounds is best in a reanimation style deck where you can get it online quickly and drop massive 6+ drops reliably.

#

I gotta compliment your instants and lands, those sections look great. Instant speed interaction is something so many people skimp on, great to see it being prioritized here (though I would remove the Ray of Revelation for being too niche and the Natural Connection for being too slow of a ramp piece)

#

All-in-all the creatures section looks pretty fun and cohesive. There are of course slight optimizations like [[avacyn's pilgrim]] instead of Burnished Hart etc.

Cards like [[katilda, dawnheart prime]] and [[kyler, sigardian emmisary]] seem like some truly powerful pieces that you're missing out on

Lastly, I'd recommend looking for some more card draw (or card advantage in some sense if you want to go graveyard recursion) effects as your list currently looks verrrrry light on card draw. These could be safe one time effects like [[painful truths]] if you want consistency, they could be riskier one time effects like [[shamanic revelation]] or they could be engines like [[laid to rest]]

Thanks a lot, @slate wind ! Never thought of card draw with GWB actually. Always thought of it with Blue only. And yep, already looked at the Anafenza's page in EDHREC. It is just that I am having a hard time to get those cards here in my area. haha. I'll start with cutting some board wipes though! Will post again when I have an update! Thank you!

#

for now, I replaced Hunting Grounds with [[deathreap ritual]] and Trepanation Blade with [[eternal witness]]

Excellent options!

#

Ah yeah, sourcing cards can be a challenge

naive prairie
#

@slate wind I hope you're still there. haha. I found some cards you've mentioned. Kyler, Katilda, and Laid to Rest. I also found Torens. I made some changes now. Care to check if what else can be done to make this human tribal deck better?

It's looking good! Do you have a specific question? You're getting to the point where any changes I suggest start to become subjective.

naive prairie
#

Well, the Corpse Counter mechanic of [[isareth the awakener]] makes me want to cut it from my deck. Planning to replace her with [[jerren, corrupted bishop]] or [[siege veteran]]. any insight with that?

west dockBOT

Legendary Creature — Human Cleric
Whenever Jerren, Corrupted Bishop enters or another nontoken Human you control dies, you lose 1 life and create a 1/1 white Human creature token.
mana2: Target Human you control gains lifelink until end of turn.
At the beginning of your end step, if you have exactly 13 life, you may pay mana4manabmanab. If you do, transform Jerren.
2/3

Ormendahl, the Corrupter
Legendary Creature — Demon
Flying, trample, lifelink
Sacrifice another creature: Draw a card.
"Ah, Jerren. You've been such a faithful, useful insect."
6/6

I'd default to Jerren over Siege Veteran because you have a lot of non-soldier humans in the deck which wouldn't jive with the veteran

naive prairie

I guess that'll be all. Thank you so much for making this deck a lot better!

Just used this deck and won 2/3. lost to Iroas deck my brother used. Thank you again!
