Trying to make a hylda tap down in the 7-8 range. I currently struggle with getting tappers and enough mana to activate Hylda

[[Opposition]] is basically the best card you can run in a hylda deck. It taps things without having to pay mana and also semi combos with hylda

I think I would cut most of your tappers that require more than 1 mana to tap something.
Gideon's lawkeeper is ok-ish, but the frostkeeper for example is way too inefficient

Hylda is indeed quite manahungry so having enough ramp is important

#

I think if you want to compete against 7s and 8s you probably need more consistency, ergo some more tutors for your wincons.

There is definitely a lot of cut options like the slow tappers. Your right Verity cricle and opposition are clear staples for this deck
