I’ve become something of a terror at my local table. My Urza’s Iron Alliance Precon rules the roost with little difficulty against a painbow precon, Angels/Archons, Goblins and several Warhammer precons.

I’ve decided to abandon a modern gruul werewolves build and use some of the older Eldrazi werewolves alongside it for a themed Werewolves/Drazi deck.

Suggestions please? I’m not aiming for hyper competitive, but things like ‘All is Dust’ are not off the table.

Legendary Creature — Human Werewolf
Whenever a Wolf or Werewolf you control deals combat damage to a player, draw a card.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control three or more Wolves and/or Werewolves, it becomes night. Then transform any number of Human Werewolves you control.

Tovolar, the Midnight Scourge
Legendary Creature — Werewolf
Whenever a Wolf or Werewolf you control deals combat damage to a player, draw a card.
manaxmanarmanag: Target Wolf or Werewolf you control gets +X/+0 and gains trample until end of turn.

Start building a decklist with all the gruul werewolves you like. There is also a card that can transform your werewolves instantly to the werewolf side (dont know the name, probably on EDHrec) and then there is Immerwulf which prevents your creatures from flipping back

Beside that just start building your deck and ask people again when you got something going

I’ve begun a list, and will add it as it grows, but wondering if anybody has particular suggestions is all. I’ve never built outside of modern, so singleton format builds are new to me.

Suggestions for things to include or avoid are both valid, as I’ll likely be making a few dumb decisions given my card pool is a former waste box at my LGS

It would be the easiest way to show your decklist so everyone can see it on a page like moxfield. Otherwise people dont know what you already got and no one wants to suggest cards that you already know of.

I appreciate the advice, being a complete novice here xD

I’ll get my current list up on TappedOut shortly, and post the link.

I'll recommend Moxfield. Its easier to use, nicer overlay and most people use that so you can compare your decklists very easy to a bunch of others

Play tested in current form today. Mana base needs work, but can’t figure what specifically to cut 🙂

Wow yeah I dont know when you went down that many lands but you should play at least 33 rather 34-35

This was a quick V1 build that I managed to finish before games today, and despite the disadvantage (only got to 4 lands + some rocks) I finished out 2 of my 3 opponents 🙂

You can add some nonbasic lands, but focus on lands that come into play untapped
