Nevermind the three visits
I see you have them already
Maybe you want to replace Eternal Witness with [[Dryad's Revival]] Same mana costs but you can use it twice
Okay now I'm done. Have a nice day
I can recommend Raffine as a very consistent aggro deck. Her innate looting means you almost always have the right cards for the situation you're in and you can run a true boatload of aggressive one drops with impunity. My list killed on turn 8 on average this past year.
Thnks, guess i’ll upgrade my raffine left it gathering dust after a while
Dismantling a few esper decks since my resources are spread too thin too
If you build her aggro, I can't imagine there's that much competition for cards in other lists? A full 25 in my list are 1 and 2 drop creatures which rarely see play in other esper lists e.g., [[topplegeist]] and [[ingenious prodigy]] etc
Creature — Human Wizard
Skulk (This creature can't be blocked by creatures with greater power.)
Ingenious Prodigy enters with X +1/+1 counters on it.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if Ingenious Prodigy has one or more +1/+1 counters on it, you may remove a +1/+1 counter from it. If you do, draw a card.
0/1
Here's my list: https://moxfield.com/decks/j_VN3I-gEUGxbbDwFUYxnw
Happy to let you know which cards are essential and which are there as pet cards etc.
It does require a decent manabase to ensure you have the right colors to play a few critters and then Raffine on turn 3 every single game.
For me i mostly left the capenna stuff and added cards like waste not, bone miser, archfiend of ifnir. More focused on the discard aspect, and some cheap discard and draw like guardian of new benalia
Niceni’ll take a peek after work
Alright seffris and raffine think will be my main esper deck with aminatou blink on the side(idk i know she can be powerful but i build her weaker for my table but i think at this point i should go all out with thoracle and lab maniac)
And re do artifacts once ayara nekrons done
Think concelead courtyard
Nombus maze
Morphic pool
And sea of cloud
Are the only ones i don’t have that are more then a dollar i’ll have to check when i get home
Oh and grand crescendo i forgot i needed that
https://www.archidekt.com/decks/10682288
Doing a themey Marchesa deck looking for cards that work with Royalty, Empires, Armies, and Councils/etc. also Assasins and other forms of political violence lol
Feels like with all these legendaries you could get away with olivia crimson bride, all of her cards fit the theme and this one would enjoy reviving all those legendaries. Plus just about everything from innistrad vampires really since their all aristocracy for the most part
[[Olivia crimson bride]]
Legendary Creature — Vampire Noble
Flying, haste
Whenever Olivia, Crimson Bride attacks, return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped and attacking. It gains "When you don't control a legendary Vampire, exile this creature."
Her grand wedding had one goal: to unite the vampire bloodlines under her rule.

Hmm good idea ty for that suggestion
Personally, I've rarely cast it, the deck doesn't generate enough mana for the x part to be very relevant and then a simple counterspell is usually just as effective in stopping a board wipe. All this to say, don't prioritize getting one
I won’t i meant it more as in a general good card i still need
Did find my bloodghast tho so that was nice
Don’t you just hate it when your building decks and you misplace the last card you put away y-y.
Yes. Or when you remember a card that you KNOW you have somewhere but... that somewhere is not known
actually that too, misplaced my underworld breach i was suppose to put in ayara rakdos, and when searching every deck and box didn't find underworld connection
Hmmm yeah there are certain cards though that I make sure I know where they are... even while I sleep...
Fucking beautiful
But it’s the other one furnace queen
Furnance is hot, pun intended 😛
She wields nekrons and she ain’t afraid to fling them
Okay found my underworld breach and underworld connection can finally finish ayara
I checked every box EXCEPT the box of the last deck i worked on… cause it was an abzan deck but yeah mixed in the stuff i was separating in there
Any land suggestions for a red green dino stompy deck?
send decklist
Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient - Commander / EDH deck
(1) Commander • (1) Anthem • (1) Burn • (2) Counters • (4) Creature • (8) Draw • (2) Evasion • (1) Finisher • (36) Land • (1) Pingers • (2) Protection • (5) Pump • (18) Ramp • (1) Recursion • (12) Removal • (1) Sac Outlet • (1) Tokens • (3) Tutor
I think l need alot more mana to use my deck correctly
i think theres some core problems too
I think youre running a lot of kinda weak creatures
the land thing is liekly an issue, if you want you can look at edhrec for ur commander and go to lands
you can clikc the single dollar sign to look at budget options

I'm looking for ways to make this idea better and more efficient, and would appreciate any insight from anyone into the idea.
What creatures would you recommend?

any and all help will be greatly appreciated 🙏🙏
I need some deck editing help! I'm trying to take out some cards from the Timey-Wimey precon I upgraded to include [[zirda, the dawnwaker]], [[chronozoa]], [[beholder's slowing ray]], and [[beholder's charm ray]]. here's the link to my current timey-wimey deck: https://archidekt.com/decks/6037531/wibblywobbly_timeywimey
Legendary Creature — Elemental Fox
Companion — Each permanent card in your starting deck has an activated ability. (If this card is your chosen companion, you may put it into your hand from outside the game for
as a sorcery.)
Abilities you activate that aren't mana abilities cost
less to activate. This effect can't reduce the mana in that cost to less than one mana.
,
: Target creature can't block this turn.

Counter target spell. If the spell is countered this way, exile it with three time counters on it instead of putting it into its owner's graveyard. If it doesn't have suspend, it gains suspend. (At the beginning of its owner's upkeep, they remove a time counter. When the last is removed, they may play it without paying its mana cost. If it's a creature, it has haste.)
"On a failed save, target creature's speed is halved."
Hello, i want to reach my friend in the high level commander, so i would like to play Tamiyo inquisitive student in my deck, and i want to play the two Oko in it, if someone knows how i should build this deck i am all ears, it ll be my first non precon deck, i got those card at the stqrting ground
I've got an idea for you
3 planeswalkers, doubling season, primal vigor
All this spells counters
Which means proliferate
Which mean [[ezuri stalker of spheres]]
Run some other powerful planeswalkers, things that care about having counters on them, and proliferate effects to both add extra counters AND draw cards with ezuri
Thanks for the answer i got an ezuri so i had some prolifération card i got too
And if anyone have any idea of strongue planeswalker in blue and Green
Thanks
Need some help deciding on which cards to remove from my deck to add cards from the maybeboard. The cards in the sideboard are what i already removed beforehand so i can keep track of em
Anyone happen tonhave celestial toymaker chaos deck just found out this card existed and seems fun but idk what guess cards exist in esper
Besides fact or fiction
is [[Lier, Disciple of the Drowned]] absolutely necessary in a [[Muldrotha, The Gravetide]] deck?
I just started building this deck, any ideas on how to make it better?
https://moxfield.com/decks/xmc0YY-1zkiXEYbWkFyWoA
I guess she's neat in that you also get access to nonpermanents now. Idk if she's "absolutely necessary", Muldrotha decks were doing fine before Lier was released.
You can build in other ways to gain access to instants and sorcers in a Muldrotha deck
more lands for sure, lol
ig it kinda depends on how strong you wantit to be. Zaxara has a few combo pieces you can make use of like [[freed from the real]] for infinite mana
Other than that, I'd say focusing on ramping and casting your favorite X spells seems like a solid approach.
Don't forget to include interaction though.
I have stuff like [[counterspell]]
And [[Tyrant's Scorn]]
My deck is almost done online I think
What are some overrun-like effects in Golgari that work from the graveyard?
depends on what you mean with "from the graveyard". does Reanimating a Cratorhoof Behemoth count?
I'm thinking more like unearth, flashback etc, where it's enough for me to have milled it
Whats the best way to get a good gauge on powerlevel. Im having a big debate with some buddies and outside opinions on the decklist I have would be appreciated
We are all experienced players but their perception on power level is heavily based on their local pods and lgs's, but as we all know spelltable and the "playedh" community have different takes
We cannot come to an agreement on this decklist
It's kinda hard for me to gauge too
Mostly because idk what your deck is trying to do
Are you using a ton of artifacts to abuse simulacrum synthesizer? like what's the gameplan
You definitely have tutors to go get your pieces, but I feel like if you're really really wanting to do artifact things you could honestly run urza as pilot
and there's cards in there that I can't for the life of me understand
Like why is wicked slumber in there
You've got very little counters to protect your pieces and slow opponents down, and the interaction you DO have is just bouncing stuff to hand
It's all in mono blue but with nothing to protect the all in
With the power level of the cards you have in there I'd say at best this is high power EDH
Not just casual but I doubt it'd take up space at a CEDH table
Should i be worried i finally made a deck with a playstyle i been dying to do since i started playing and now i can’t stop making variations in different colors
Idk when i’ll be able to play with my pod but got 4-5 enchantress decks ready in esper abzan bant mardu and potentially five colored depending on how things go
7 if i make miracle aminatou and myrkul
better to know what you like and embrace it than force yourself to invest into a deck diversity that doesn't fill you with joy
just be aware that your friends are gonna start jamming bane of progress and friends more and more
Tbh the fact they haven’t when i already made 3 variations on esper artifacts and they know i’m coming with ayara rakdos fling nekron
It’s their own fault
Hopefully ghen and ayara finally convinces the last one why graveyard hate is important her boyfriend always on her why she doesn’t run at least a bojuka bog
My true love is anything esper
But enchantment and enchantress in general have always been my favorite card type
That and planeswalkers but it’s specifically a few but i already got a sorta mardu deck done there and carth is just waiting for me to buy all the bear daddies planeswalker(garruk) to build him i got the important vraska’s and nissa and most lilliana’s
If you're having fun, you're having fun
@wooden breach the gameplan is just to drop as many artifacts as I can and either win with synthesizer or cyberdrive awakener. Im trying to run this in 7 power, am NOT trying to go higher than 8 so thats why you see a lot of goofy spells to double with kitsa's ability. The decklist is intentionally riddled with inefficiencies.
I played Teshar cEDH for 2 years so I dont know if my perception on artifact power is ruined, but I left so many good cards out, many you would expect to see in 8 power decks to keep this tame
Ah okay okay
I think you're in there, if not a little higher into the 8 ish territory
You can easily go and get the things you want to win, but you're kind of out in the open otherwise
Im glad someone else is seeing it the same way, ty
This is something I might be interested in doing as a commander deck just something I thought about angels are cool a I’ve picked out some cards I thought would be fun
Is it alright if it make multiple channels of the same but upgraded deck?
Or tabs I domt know what their technically called
Looking for feedback on a Selesnya Humans deck https://discord.com/channels/574711449566445603/1328573329988386961
Quick question, besides kamigawa have there been any more set with creature saga’s
Or is it saga creatures since they begin as saga’s
Looks nice but i’d try adding in the human focused sigarda’s for more protections
The other one besides font sigarda i mean have both
And leinore too
Actually just all sigarda’s
Hero s grace protects humans with font and it’s always good to have repeated effects to improve your chances getting them
Host of heron since you already have dranith magistrate to avoid black shenanigans(and in this ones case it’s probably more flexible there’s always some sac shenanigans people have to answer. Trons or indestructible)
Champion of light is just really good in human tribal
38 is a great number, you could even cut it down a little more if you utilize the cards that allow you to play lands from your graveyard like ancient greenwarden, crucible/conduit of worlds, walk in closet etc. that’s what I do with my Omnath deck and it’s absolutely amazing
Thoughts on what Commander would work best in a deck focused on tapping down your Opponents' creatures? My fave color to play in is white, so bonus points if it includes that, but really I'd love to hear what anyone might recommend, regardless of color 🤔
Something like [[Hylda of the Icy Crown]]?
https://moxfield.com/decks/dadayJ2rb0CIrnijAFgLjQ
Need help making two cuts!!! Thank you in advance
I need help. I just joined a new playgroup and now they're asking me to build the most degenerate deck i can. I have around 25 commander decks. I need help determining which can be made to be the most degenerate. Here's the list of all my decks: https://archidekt.com/search/decks?ownerUsername=rjpico. Please help
Archidekt deck search. Filter and sort decks by format, commander, name, and more.
Pls help
Basically aggro artifacts with a chance to possibly win with mechanized production
Hey all, I was just looking for some advice or some card suggestions to help me deal with my buddies goblin token deck. He only pulls it out when I play my colorless deck... Yes it is Eldrazi. Just looking for some card suggestions to deal with giant token boards
[[endbringer]]
[[all is dust]]
Death Toll was the second precon I bought, I fell in love with it. I have slowly upgraded it over the last month. I'd love feedback on the design. It's all about milling things into the graveyard and reanimating scary things out of the graveyard.
[[ratchet bomb]]
I'd recommend adding in a few more lands. A deck like this that wants to consistently hit their first ~6 or so land drops really wants closer to 36 lands than 32. Miasma Demon, Fear of the Dark, Horrid Vigor, Frantic Strength, and Torpor Orb would all be good cuts
Definitely Miasma Demon and Torpor Orb
Degenerate can mean a lot of different things, are you talking about fast combos/quick wins?
I normally aim to look like Im starting slow but by midgame I can start reanimating big things to try and quickly knock out my opponents
Some "easy" upgrades:
- Scuttlemutt >> [[ornithopter of paradise]]
- Grapple with Past >> [[malevolent rumble]] or [[cache grab]]
- Deathcap Cultivator >> [[rampant growth]]
Sorcery
Reveal the top four cards of your library. You may put a permanent card from among them into your hand. Put the rest into your graveyard. Create a 0/1 colorless Eldrazi Spawn creature token with "Sacrifice this creature: Add
."
What emerged from Turntimber was even more twisted than the forest itself.
Instant
Mill four cards. You may put a permanent card from among the cards milled this way into your hand. If you control a Squirrel or returned a Squirrel card to your hand this way, create a Food token. (To mill four cards, put the top four cards of your library into your graveyard. A Food token is an artifact with "
,
, Sacrifice this artifact: You gain 3 life.")
As someone who built hylda can confirm, harmless enough you won’t get focused quickly but the aoe full board stun later in the game are killer managed to defeat a gnome jeskai army of over 300 cause i stunkocked my friend(mostly with a lot of top decking) for 3 turns
Just gotta manage the mana for hylda’s trigger well
yes.
You're probably closest with Krrik
Are there any good aura commander options outside of esper naya abzan grixis and bant
I know naya has the fallout one and also lot of great gruul/selesnya centric options but i rather avoid that color like the plague and the rest i have an enchantment themed deck already
generally any color combo with green and white in it will be decent with an Aura gameplan, since you just have the most options for synergy pieces. While I'm not sure if there's a specific commander in abzan or bant that cares about auras, you can probably make it work regardless by sheer vortue of being in the prime enchantress colors
In bant, you could consider [[Rafiq of the Many]]. he's a pretty oldschool voltron commander
oh sorry, you were looking outside bant, I misread your question
I think Boros might have a few decent options for aura comanders
[[wyleth soul of steel]]
[[kellan the fae blooded]]
In Orzhov, [[Killian, Ink duelist]] could also be fun as an aura commander
Hey guys do I need an [[extraplanar lense]] if I am running [[liliana of the dark realms]] [[cabal coffers]] [[urborg, tomb of yawgmoth]] already?
Legendary Planeswalker — Liliana
+1: Search your library for a Swamp card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle.
−3: Target creature gets +X/+X or -X/-X until end of turn, where X is the number of Swamps you control.
−6: You get an emblem with "Swamps you control have '
: Add

.'"
Loyalty: 3
good to have consistency, but how many ways do you have to tutor?
https://moxfield.com/decks/nwM1xtxVZkq4qFZ3dZ3QBA
who would be a fun commander for this list? I originally picked sarulf but i don’t think he will be fun to play against
Does anyone have some interesting azorius commanders they recommend? Im usually a pretty aggro (red) player looking to branch out to other colors and styles.
Azorius can still be aggro! I run [[Ardenn, Intrepid Adversary]] + [[esior]] for some very compelling voltron options backed up with blue interaction.
oops, [[ardenn, intrepid arch]]
does anyone know a legendery creature that can more or less just win you the game when you have 40ish cards in hand?
i have a deck that can semi consistently get to very large hands and then be unable to use those cards and just discard it all and i was wondering if i could play a card to make proper use of this fact
it's not legendary but [[twenty-toed toad]] wins by attacking when you have more than 20 cards in hand
[[twenty-toed toad]]
Creature — Frog Wizard
Your maximum hand size is twenty.
Whenever you attack with two or more creatures, put a +1/+1 counter on Twenty-Toed Toad and draw a card.
Whenever Twenty-Toed Toad attacks, you win the game if there are twenty or more counters on it or you have twenty or more cards in hand.
3/3
that would be perfect if only it was legendary
not many wincons are legendary creatures, they tend to be enchantments
What do you guys think of this deck? I'm new to magic and have only opened foundations and innistrad remastered.
Lemme know if there's anything you'd tweak!
https://scryfall.com/@Krenick/decks/db025ead-d24c-4592-9518-523a3449b482/build
Making a Liesa commander deck on a tight tight budget. Any tips on filling out the landbase and some other includes?
I really recommend putting your list into moxfield. Then posting it. I can’t tell what is going on in this pic
Hey ya’ll can anyone help me by reviewing my Coram, The Undertaker Deck and let me know of cuts or additions please?
If l were to try and make a commander deck based around [[Progenitus]] how would l go about my lands?🤔
That would very much depend on how much spare cash you have in your pockets.
Optimized 5 color mana bases tend to get pretty expensive
If you're building on a budget, what I would recommend is running mostly green mana sources with a few of the other colors, and then lean heavily into green land ramp spells to fetch the other colors you need.
Alternatively, you can just build [[morophon]], who also happens to work well with progenitus, and that largely solves your problem with color fixing, just need whatever ramp you can afford
Legendary Creature — Shapeshifter
Changeling (This card is every creature type.)
As Morophon, the Boundless enters, choose a creature type.
Spells of the chosen type you cast cost

less to cast. This effect reduces only the amount of colored mana you pay.
Other creatures you control of the chosen type get +1/+1.
6/6
Also avatar tribal is surprisingly fun
And there’s the greenhouse enchantment from DSK that turns all your lands into all colors.
Hi'ya! Looking for some input to this Rowan, Scion of War deck I'm brewing up for a friend 🙂 Thanks!
https://discord.com/channels/574711449566445603/1334903723142676632
If we have a way to make those lands enter untapped, a [[beast whisperer]], and a deck full of one drops
We could go digging
[[Spelunking]]
I was gonna go with [[amulet of vigor]] but I'll add that one in
Selesnya combo
Cast a bunch of one drops, convoke [[chord of calling]], get craterhoof
I like it
Hi guys, just ordered some new cards in the theme of pirates/vampires/assassins
wondering if anyone had any commander recommendations to tie them all together?
you might want to check out the "Most wanted" OTJ precon
it cares about outlaws and maybe you can tune it into caring more about vampires too, the face commander is one
[[olivia, opulent outlaw]]
Legendary Creature — Vampire Assassin
Flying, lifelink
Whenever one or more outlaws you control deal combat damage to a player, create a Treasure token. (Assassins, Mercenaries, Pirates, Rogues, and Warlocks are outlaws.)
, Sacrifice two Treasures: Put two +1/+1 counters on each creature you control. Activate only as a sorcery.
3/3
Ohh nice thanks very much
Would I need to have other cards that create tokens do you think? Or could she be the only one
it has some cards that create tokens if I remember correctly
[[queen marchesa]] for example, and the secondary commander [[vihaan, goldwaker]] cares about treasures
Legendary Creature — Dwarf Warlock
Other outlaws you control have vigilance and haste. (Assassins, Mercenaries, Pirates, Rogues, and Warlocks are outlaws.)
At the beginning of combat on your turn, you may have Treasures you control become 3/3 Construct Assassin artifact creatures in addition to their other types until end of turn.
3/3
have only played against it like twice so I don't know the full list, look it up and maybe you can take some ideas, assasins and pirates are outlaws so you can go that route and have a vampire sub theme
Woah he’s sick
Will check it out, appreciate it

also check out [[baron bertram graywater]]
just came to mind
its in the colour identity if you decide to go with that commander
Just checked my mana box and I have him!
Thanks
Built this deck in 2019 for $30, but now I'm trying to make this deck from a landfall deck into a hatebears/stax deck as a friend asked me to make a degenerate deck. Trying to keep it mostly creatures, but I'll consider most suggestions: https://archidekt.com/decks/11159733/growing_lands
Also put in some of those dual lands in the maybe board
Karametra doesn't specify basic lands so you can go get those to fix mana
Hi guys I'm looking to build a [[Blanka, Ferocious Friend]] deck using the cards I have in my collection (don't really want to spend much more) not trying to make it super strong or anything like that, but could anyone advise me on what cards I should definitely be keeping/removing?
So far I've only added instants, sorceries and enchantments
Let me check
What’s ur budget
I want to work with what I have, unless it's just not viable
Quick shoutout! Does anyone have experience with [[Rowan, Scion of War]] and would be able to give me some input?
https://discord.com/channels/574711449566445603/1334903723142676632
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard
Menace
: Spells you cast this turn that are black and/or red cost
less to cast, where X is the amount of life you lost this turn. Activate only as a sorcery.
"No more days withering at a negotiating table with my brother. I will rebuild Eldraine myself—the old way, with power."
4/2
I'm planning some tomfoolery today
I got 2 silly decks in the works
[[ruric thar]] and it's only creatures
And [[judith carnage connoiseur]] with no other creatures
Legendary Creature — Human Shaman
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, choose one —
• That spell gains deathtouch and lifelink.
• Create a 2/2 red Imp creature token with "When this creature dies, it deals 2 damage to each opponent."
"I don't make my living hiding the truth, detective. I shout it from the stage."
3/4
Not even 1 or 2 splashy creatures to take advantage of [[transmogrify]] effects?
Nope
Artifacts and enchantments to help storm off then end the game by blowing up my imps
Is it worth running [[Phyrexian Tribute]] if [[Gate to Phyrexia]] is out of budget in mono black?
I'm playing a deck that can usually handle the sacrificial cost, but it's a pretty annoying draw to get in any game where an artifact isn't a win con
And even then since its sorcery speed, if an artifact is a win con I likely can't even remove it on time
But it's the only artifact removal in black that doesn't cost an arm and a leg cash wise or mana wise
The deck this is for is a mono black slivers deck with [[Gisa, Glorious]]: https://moxfield.com/decks/8sJYaBQYaUKP9Dp6D31_Cw
Because creatures controlled by opponents aren't dying due to Gisa's replacement effect, any "when [this creature] dies" triggered abilities those creatures have won't trigger.
Gisa does not grant haste to the creatures that are returned to the battlefield, so you normally won't be able to attack with them the turn they are returned.
If a creature your opponent controls would die and more than one effect would cause it to be exiled, that opponent chooses which one to apply. If the creature is exiled due to some other replacement effect, it will not be returned to the battlefield with Gisa.
Decayed represents a static ability and a triggered ability. "Decayed" means "This creature can't block" and "When this creature attacks, sacrifice it at end of combat."
Decayed does not create any attacking requirements. You may choose not to attack with a creature that has decayed.
Decayed does not grant haste. Creatures with decayed that enter the battlefield during your turn may not attack until your next turn.
Once a creature with decayed attacks, it will be sacrificed at end of combat, even if it no longer has decayed at that time.
there's also [[Oblivion Stone]]
and Nev'd Disk
Oblivion Stone has been reprinted into the ground, nice way to kill superfriend decks too
or
[[Praetor's Grasp]]
I'm not looking for a board wipe so I skipped nev disk, but oblivion stone falls back into that mana heavy category :/
and just make sure you have a way to make non-black mana
you are in mono black, you have access to the mana doubling effects
nonetheless, you aren't going to be winning THAT quickly with your deck
and these both eliminate enchantment decks too
you don't HAVE to use them, but may goodness you'll be glad to have them when if you do
I didn't realize how cheap Crypt Ghast and Nirkana are these days
for the mana doublers
there's also that vamp lady. But I was thinking about the artifact mana doublers
ah like fist of suns?
yeah
I thought I had a list of them in my Ayara deck but I must have dropped them into Ashling
Bolas's Citadel is VERY good, your creature CMC isn't too big
I think I might just run [[Unstable Obelisk]] over Phyrexian Tribute, since even if I don't need artifact removal it's got a purpose
Add an entomb / buried alive with Haakon. Make your changelings into Sliver knights for infinite black mana
With the 1 mana changling or a mana reduction
Also
[[Bontu's Monument]] had just been reprinted
I've got a [[jet medallion]] and then both the one mana changelings
Thanks for the combo! :)
Infinite life loss
well, it's a pretty terrible removal spell, but if you are worried about artifacts a lot and have a lot of expendible bodies, it might be fine
like if your meta is known for running a lot of artifacts that prevent your strat
Gahhh
I'm stuck in a limbo of wanting to brew something janky and fun but not knowing what I wanna do
Looking for advice on building a [[tariel reckoner of souls]] deck centered around flying
Legendary Creature — Human Cleric
Whenever Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons deals combat damage to a player, you may put a -1/-1 counter on target creature.
Whenever you put one or more -1/-1 counters on a creature, create a 1/1 green Snake creature token with deathtouch.
Her subtle smile is suffused with venom.
2/2
Is [[Korvecdal]] usable in 5c Eldrazi?
Legendary Creature — Elf Warrior
You may look at the top card of your library any time.
You may cast creature spells from the top of your library.
,
, Tap two untapped creatures you control: Reveal a card from your hand or the top card of your library. If you reveal a creature card this way, put it onto the battlefield. Activate only during your turn.
3/3
I mean, he's probably aight. One thing to consider that a good chunk of Eldrazi have cast triggers and not ETBs, so putting them into play loses you part of their value
Oh true tyvm
I will find another deck then
Hey ya’ll anyone play Hapatra?
I have a deck, I don’t play her much anymore
For azorius control deck like [[Kwain]] & [[Council of Four]], aside from approach of the second sun & isochron blind obedience combo, is there any other reliable way to win?
Thassa’s oracle lines. [[heliod, sun]] and [[walking ballista]]
Multiple cards match “heliod, sun”, can you be more specific?
[[heliod, sun-crowned]]
If I wanted to build a deck centered around the "Landwalks" (obviously it's not going to be very good, but that's not what I'm here for anyway) what would my best choice of commander be?
Eluge could let you force island walk to work.
Heyo - going to be upgrading the Living Energy Precon with [[Loot, Exuberant Explorer]], [[Doubling Season]], [[Loot. The Pathfinder]], I'm debating on what to take out of the deck. Cheers, all
Legendary Creature — Beast Noble
You may play an additional land on each of your turns.

,

oh, and [[Full Throttle]]. Any assistance would be superb. appreciate it and sorry for the ask haha.
BTW I forgot to ask but in general, are these combos mentioned usually accepted in mid-high PL 7/ 8 games?
Aside from game ending combo I dont see how kwain or council of four can win.
its defiently a less salt inducing combo. It can be interacted with in several places
its a fine combo
fair and balanced
Got it, thanks a lot
Hey !
Does [[Dismember]] -5/-5 count as counters or does the creature just get -5/-5?
Just -5/-5
Ah okay! Thanks heaps
Are there any good cards that drop a lot of -1 counters on creatures?
Best example I can think of are cards that have “wither” like [[massacre girl known killer]] or “infect” like [[skithiryx the blight dragon]]
[[Black Sun's Zenith]] is an option. I don't think it's considered "good" though 😄
If you're in Rakdos, [[Everlasting Torment]] is pretty good too.
Sorcery
Put X -1/-1 counters on each creature. Shuffle Black Sun's Zenith into its owner's library.
"Under the suns, Mirrodin kneels and begs us for perfection." —Geth, Lord of the Vault
This scryfall search gives you most cards in black that gives -1/-1 counters 🙂

in EDH with azorius color, is [[march of the swirling mist]] worth running as protection spell?
or is it better to just run cards like white protection spells like eerie interlude, clever concealment, flawless maneuver?

As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may exile any number of blue cards from your hand. This spell costs
less to cast for each card exiled this way.
Up to X target creatures phase out. (While they're phased out, they're treated as though they don't exist. Each one phases in before its controller untaps during their next untap step.)
Any funny mono-black/colorless cards to play with [[fateful handoff]]? I'm putting together a Gonti Night Minster deck and just want to put fateful in
Not specifically looking for "lose the game" cards, but just anything funny
i have this enchantment deck that i really like playing, but it kinda need a last touch in order to smoothen some things out
https://moxfield.com/decks/QS-GzUsn1EubTrq4vwNGYw
the goal of the deck is to do enchantment stuff and maybe get the game basically locked up with a solemnity, phyrexian unlife, delaying combo, to eventually cast omniscience and a card draw engine. then start casting all the enchanchantments i can get my hands on while a lot of tokens are being created from cast triggers like third path iconoclast or murmuration, together with impact tremors.
The biggest problem I have is finding omnicience cosistently and a card draw engine to continue the omniscience train (surprisingly getting enough mana to cast omnicience is not that difficult in my experience until now)
The thing is that I don’t really want to add more tutors than I already have while I still am on a budget
heya. im trying to pinpoint the Bracket of my Mayael deck atm. Its either 3-4. out of the game changers it has OG Vorinclex and Smothering Tithe. It is quite optimized and has some other "swingy" cards liek Blightsteel, Craterhoof, and Wordly Tutor
trying to dig it up atm
is the moxfield bracket system already in alignment with wotc's?
I feel like they mislabled my rani goad deck as bracket 2 even though it's doesn't have any combo or extra turn?
it at least is tracking the gamechanger cards
In the settings you can manually set the bracket or set it to autoestimate
Honestly I'm not really sure where the cutoff between 1 and 2 is
to me a 1 sounds more like either a "random cards" deck or one with a very heavy theme over a functional strategy
ahh i see thanks for the info
so, anything with at the very least a coherent strat would probably be a 2
a 1 sounds more like "I only play cards where there's a person wearing a hat on the art" or something
from the description in the article the only thing that differs from 1 and 2 is just extra turn cards, so im just wondering what exactly are the terms for it to be a 2 or 1
maybe the tutor is what pushes it?
you have tamiyo's journal
imo the lines between 1/2 and 4/5 seem very vague
maybe that's ok, i feel like 1s should be able to play with 2s
I have a few questions for a deck i’m building
What’s the difference between stax and pillow fort? Is it just that pillow fort focuses mostly on avoiding being attack and punishing aggression towards me? While stax is just punishing everyone for anything?
Stax is basically just resource denial
Generally anything that makes spells cost more or prevents mana sources from untapping/being used etc is considered to be stax
pillowfort, as you said, is moer about preventing interaction with you specifically, mostly by preventing attacks, but it doesn't inherently impede other people's gameplans or taking away resources
Alright got it so when i search edhrec i gotta go for pillow fort then
It’s a orzohv tomik deck but i wanna focus more on the pillow fort aspect
But will the affinity for planeswalker reduce the commander tax ?
yes, affinity can reduce commander tax
Thnks
Last question is if there’s a lot of cards with similar effects to trouble in pair
That punish players for drawing more then once, specifically pingers so i can play around howling mine either they get burned down for attacking me or passively by group hugginess of white giving everyone advantage
Also just pingers for attacking me too like tomik
there's a hand ful of cards that just punish card draw in general
I’m mostly looking for burn effects rather then stuff that could make me a target
[[sheoldred the apocalypse]] [[fate unraveler]]
well, you can't have it both ways lol
God i’m dumb how the fuck did i forget my bae
If your stuff burns people, it will inevitably draw attention towards you
And recently sold my fate unraveler too I’m really dumb i forgot it exist the moment i stopped owning it
[[smuggler's share]] is similar to trouble in pairs
also I guess you could look at [[smothering tithe]] as a "draw punisher"
Noq just gotta see what planeswalkers besides sorin can act as win conditions
Thnks a ton got an idea how i wanna build tomik now
Wish i hadn’t sold my orcish bowmaster but whatever i kept sheoldred tho
I've got an Ygra deck and a Lumra deck. I'm working on an Iron Man deck. Looking for suggestions for another commander to build. Maybe red white? Wanna do something i don't have yet. Any suggestions?

Looking for some quick input/opinions. Is Iso-Rev combo playable in Bracket 3? I think at first youd think not because its 2 cards for 2 mana but also it requires setup for your nonland mana and payoffs before so with the setup time it becomes viable in Bracket 3? I dont know if i should run it in my azorious Spellslinger deck because of this so I wanted to see what others thought.
Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal (Iso-Rev)
I think it kinda depends on how early you expect to go off with it.
I mean, technically it's a 2 card combo
You just need a 3rd that actually wins you the game
no its more then that as it needs atleast a sol ring in play to net even then you need stuff to do with the mana but i decided against it as i run a couple tutors which do hit dramatic reversal so i would rather not be like oh its a free win as often and use them as a tool box picks like i want to.
For an edh [[heliod radiant dawn]] deck, is it really worth to use high cost counterspells like [[unwind]] and [[rewind]] instead of the standard 2 mana or 1 mana counterspell like negate, flusterstorm, swan song, etc?
I feel like while these cards are more synergistic with heliod's back side, it's a bit too situational due to the high mana cost. Is the risk of not being able to play them while heliod is not active even worth it?

I really love playing a bunch of silly high cost counter spells! Don't look to hard at my decks cause I play a bunch of really bad ones like way worse than what I suggest here!
If you want to pick up any cards I talked about in this video you...
[[Yurlok of Scorch Thrash]] , stick a [[Umbral Mantle]] on that boy and dedicate an entire turn to deepfry everyone
Doing the math here, presuming there is no silly life gain at play, for a low low 14 mana, you can slug out everyone (mana spent solely on Yurlok's ability, not the cards)
What are some good, cheap izzet cards for a [[Captain Howler]] deck? Like a few dollars at most I'm trying to budget build

Can anyone help with the scaling for this deck, it doesn't fit in the new power scaling so I have no idea, replace angels trumpet with mossborn hydra forgot to change that
This will be a 2 part question. Firstly, I’m looking for Historics(preferably) or enchantments that have similar effects to Helm of the Host, Mycosynth Lattice, or Panharmonicon. Any suggestions are much appreciated! I already know about Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines and Gandalf the White that both have similar effects as Panharmonicon, but any others for these effects would be fantastic!
And secondly, I’d love if anyone wants to check out my deck and I appreciate any feedback you have. I don’t have many cards, so I’m somewhat limited in cards I’d like to have, and I’ll certainly be updating this deck as time goes on and I acquire better cards for it.

Hi all
I am building the new Aetherdrift Zombie deck, and I was wondering what the most optimal way to go with it would be
For instance, the core of the deck seems to imply a lot of cycling as an option to trigger the commander
But would I be better off removing these cycling cards for pure blue card draw (I already have brainsurge so we would be talking stuff like Opt or Consider now, whatever is instant speed really)
Or would I be better focusing on cycling for the option diversity
are you gonna run non aetherdrift cards?
cause in zombie decks i really like the card [[Endless Ranks of the Dead]]
yeah I'm good with any, with general avoidance of UB
very nice, requires zombies on the field though, might be a bit of a "win more" but it's an enchantment so that's nice
Heya guys! I'm custom building my first ever deck, with Ketramose the New Dawn!

Hey folks, I just brewed up my first storm deck and tried it out on untap, predictably I stormed off and on a turn that took at least 15 minutes which resulted in a game win and thankfully most of the opponents seemed okay with it.
However, just a general question, do storm decks bother you. Should I not put this deck together in paper?
(Obviously in paper I would sit at home and practise this deck by myself until I could operate it at reasonable Proficiency however I expect there would continue to be long turns just due to the nature of the mechanic).
Personally I think storm decks and other solitaire style decks are fine as long as you can track your own triggers and finish your turn as effeciently as you can.
My friend had a [[bria, riptide rogue]] storm deck and the biggest criticism our pod always has is how he tracks his triggers. For example he always forgets either the prowess triggers from bria/[[balmor, battlemage]], [[artist talent]], [[ral, crackling]], etc whenever he would try to storm off.
This makes it very frustating whenever he bricked his turn because he forgot his artist talent triggers could've cycled his hand, or he would've had his ral's ultimate and could give every single cantrips he casted afterwards storm for more triggers if he hadn't forgot and we're forced to replay the turn just for his win.
15min turns is totally fine imo, just don't be like my friend that takes atleast 30 min to an hour just to finish his storm turn 😂
Legendary Creature — Otter Rogue
Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)
Other creatures you control have prowess. (If a creature has multiple instances of prowess, each triggers separately.)
Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, target creature you control can't be blocked this turn.
3/3
Enchantment — Class
(Gain the next level as a sorcery to add its ability.)
Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, you may discard a card. If you do, draw a card.

: Level 2
Noncreature spells you cast cost
less to cast.

: Level 3
If a source you control would deal noncombat damage to an opponent or a permanent an opponent controls, it deals that much damage plus 2 instead.
Legendary Planeswalker — Ral
Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, put a loyalty counter on Ral.
+1: Create a 1/1 blue and red Otter creature token with prowess.
−3: Draw three cards, then discard two cards.
−10: Draw three cards. You get an emblem with "Instant and sorcery spells you cast have storm." (Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, copy it for each spell cast before it this turn.)
Loyalty: 4
I mean, maybe let that fly once, but after that if they brick it they brick it, pass the turn.
anyway yeah, i will keep working on the list and see if i like it enough to build it in paper, hard to get the balance right
Looking for any suggestions https://moxfield.com/decks/3b1PNNK0Iki8moPll4e7Vw
How do yall balance cutting cards for price reduction with keeping the purpose of the deck intact?

thanks for the req of artist's talent!
I have a Ghyrson spillslinger deck and that looks pretty good
Thats some good advice. My first deck was [[veyran]] lots of fun with spellslinging but I am always worried that my turn is taking too long
Legendary Creature — Efreet Wizard
Magecraft — Whenever you cast or copy an instant or sorcery spell, Veyran gets +1/+1 until end of turn.
If you casting or copying an instant or sorcery spell causes a triggered ability of a permanent you control to trigger, that ability triggers an additional time.

Very early stages of this one (so any ideas are welcomed) doing a Capcom vs Marvel challenge against a buddy and wanting to use all of the Marvel Creatures that are out so far. Main thing I have come up with is that it would mostly be centraled around Iron Man, Wolverine, and Captain America but having the other two (Storm and Black Panther) in there for some support. This is my fave deck to play, do you really think this is bracket 4? I don't feel it at all
https://moxfield.com/decks/fNL24Eo18kaq3RuoI70ejQ
Now my Goblins are like bracket 5 in their Goblin dreams lol
It's bracket 4 because you have more than 4 game changers. Other than that this seems like a typical 3, maybe 3.5. It's optimized and has cards that work well for your gameplan, but no super fast ways to get there, especially with your mix of lands and ramp
For your mono blue list
Krenko can be cEDH playable...if you optimize to the meta you're going to be playing in. Combo decks like this want to be doing 2 things:
- going off ASAP
- making sure they're safe to go off
And in Krenko's case where you can't counterspell, that means stax
[[price of glory]] [[damping sphere]] [[stranglehold]] [[defense grid]]
Anything that discourages people from casting their spells, especially during your turn, allow you to control how fast other decks play out, and if you play it right they're always gonna be slower than yours
I’ll definitely check it out. Thanks for the recommendations. Right now I wanted to take out [[Goblin Rabblemaster]] for [[Howlsquad Heavy]]. I’ll play out your recommendations online to see how I can work it.
Hey, I was thinking of taking out [[Aggravated Assault]] & [[Shared Animosity]] for [[Price of Glory]] & [[Stranglehold]] for the enchantment changes. As for the artifacts, I'd choose [[Sword of the Paruns]] & [[Ashnod's Altar]] for [[Damping Sphere]] & [[Defense Grid]]. Are these good switches or should I switch [[Phyrexian Altar]] in the switch?
I'd definitely keep at least one altar, and out of the two altars Ashnod's makes more mana
Phyrexian altar makes less, but like skirk prospector you can go infinite if krenko has haste and you have enough goblins on board
Think about how you want to win with this deck. What cards are part of your win? What cards don't do anything for your win?
Any goblin tutor is part of your win cause you go and get a haste enabler and skirk for mana
I was definitely going to keep one of the altars, but I was thinking of taking out Ashnod’s Altar
OK, so you tell me to keep Ashnod
I got [[Goblin Matron]] and [[Goblin Lackey]] and [[Goblin Recruiter]]
If you're comboing off with an infinite mana loop or making infinite hasty 1/1s, how does this help you get there
How does Basilisk Collar get you there
Questions like that help you find what to cut
My deck is combo, so I'm using Basilisk Collar for Golin Sharpshooter. I mean, I might as well cut the Sharpshooter then.
Is it that you want to keep Phyrexian Altar?
I do agree with you Ashnod is a good keeper
But why do you need collar on sharpshooter
[[goblin sharpshooter]]
Deathtouch means instant kill which untaps it then you do it again
Ok so creature removal on a stick that needs 2 parts to function
Or
Forget the collar
Make enough goblins with krenko
Tap sharpshooter to deal damage to a player
Sac a goblin to untap sharpshooter
Repeat until table dead
🤷♂️
Like if you're gonna be putting together combos that remove anyone's creatures that's fine
But killing players removes their creatures AND wins you the game
I have no opinion so potato potato
Hey Looking for anyones idea on what ive done wrong here when building. I got all my cards i "want" on my list but i feel like i over did the ramp and maybe shouldnt have added landfall stuff when it doesnt specifically work with my commander. just looking for someone elses perspective thanks. https://archidekt.com/decks/11719951/not_so_wise_mothman
Hey folks I built this just with cards I had lying around (minus 5)
https://moxfield.com/decks/6dVbjsza9Ea3LGaFgB0xiw
The ratios seem good, but im afraid if it relies to much on the commander, for a "binder deck" I get thats ok but I only played with it on arena so not sure (dictate of erebos is wild thou)
Hey guys! Looking to make a hydra tribal deck!
Would you guys recomend Gargos or Zaxara?
If the goal is just to play cool hydras, probably Gargos. Zaxara if you want something more powerful. It's probably the more popular choice for a reason.
Are there any other confirmed bracket 3 decks, such as the one Prof had in his video?
Any websites I can use that will give me any cards that have a certain word both in the rules text and flavor text I’m attempting to build a random deck with every card haveing random on it
Scryfall has keywords for both oracle text and flavor text.
This is cards with the word "random" in both rules and flavor text.
You can insert OR between the two search terms if you want either rules or flavor text.
needing help on the last 2 cuts on my (hopefully) new and improved go wide equipment deck before the ff decks come out - https://moxfield.com/decks/A3jlJFmtGUydgFaLo1NxsA
I'm already set for stuff. But why would I gey rid of removal?
because you said you need to cut 2
Again why one of better removal sources for red?
Because you're in Boros
Your colors let you blow up most if not every kind of permanent you want
And out of every way to deal with that, Chaos Warp is the worst one since you potentially give someone a free game winner

Should I remove the zombies from the Temmett (Aetherdrift Zombie) precon that give you +1 life and -1 opponent's life whenever you summon a zombie? If so, are there any must-add replacements?
Removed in place of gix's command
Hey guys! I'm trying to make a Zaxara, The Exemplary deck!
I'm trying to keep it budget somewhat, and was looking to see what some more experienced players thought of it!
If you have any tips for stuff to exclude or include, please let me know! Thank you!
what katie said
if i’m making a [[duskana]] deck i can just go wild with 2/2 creatures regardless of what they are, right? any non 2/2s that would be good to put in aside from Kudo and Ayala?
Legendary Creature — Bear
When Duskana enters, draw a card for each creature you control with base power and toughness 2/2.
Whenever a creature you control with base power and toughness 2/2 attacks, it gets +3/+3 until end of turn.
"A pale bear shall herald the rise of the old gods." —Gruul prophecy
5/5
So swap it for a [[bovine Intervention]] or something? Rather it be flexible than just creature removal for PtE or StP
Yeah something like that. The important thing being that the card you're removing doesn't end up back in the library for them to go and get later
Hey, everyone. I'm looking for input on what commander to build a board wipe deck around between these options (because Ialready own them),
[[Havi, the all-father]] [[Dihada, binder of wills]] [[Nevinyrral, urborg tyrant]]
I do already have one mostly together around [[Judith, Carnage Connoisseur]] but I have yet to figure out how to close that game without combos that I hope to have the time to go get. So, I'm thinking of adding white while using a commander that is synergistic with the gameplan, but that I can use to either get value or to help close the game. What do you think?
Legendary Creature — God Warrior
Havi has indestructible as long as there are four or more historic cards in your graveyard. (Artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas are historic.)
Sage Project — Whenever Havi or another legendary creature you control dies, return target legendary creature card with lesser mana value from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6/6
Legendary Planeswalker — Dihada
+2: Up to one target legendary creature gains vigilance, lifelink, and indestructible until your next turn.
−3: Reveal the top four cards of your library. Put any number of legendary cards from among them into your hand and the rest into your graveyard. Create a Treasure token for each card put into your graveyard this way.
−11: Gain control of all nonland permanents until end of turn. Untap them. They gain haste until end of turn.
Dihada, Binder of Wills can be your commander.
Loyalty: 5
Legendary Creature — Zombie Wizard
Hexproof from artifacts, creatures, and enchantments
When Nevinyrral enters, create a tapped 2/2 black Zombie creature token for each creature that died this turn.
When Nevinyrral dies, you may pay
. When you do, destroy all artifacts, creatures, and enchantments.
3/6
Legendary Creature — Human Shaman
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, choose one —
• That spell gains deathtouch and lifelink.
• Create a 2/2 red Imp creature token with "When this token dies, it deals 2 damage to each opponent."
"I don't make my living hiding the truth, detective. I shout it from the stage."
3/4
I'm also thinking of going away from Judith because of how obvious it is that it will be a board wipe deck. So, maybe not Nevinyrral. Idk yet
Building an insect [[Amzu, Swarm's Hunger]] deck with a bunch of insect-based keyword anthems and insect gen.
Legendary Creature — Insect Shaman
Flying, menace
Other Insects you control have menace.
Whenever one or more cards leave your graveyard, you may create a 1/1 black and green Insect creature token, then put a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the greatest mana value among those cards. Do this only once each turn.
3/3
Any suggestions welcome. Already looking at aatchic and Grist cards, also have the duskmourn scarecrow and a bunch of high value landcycling
Mostly looking for insect anthem thingies
Judith looks cool. Sweeping deathtouch sorceries. Nevinyrral is certainly a dead giveaway to your boardwipe plan, but it depends on how competitive you want it to perform-could be fun. Or oppressive. Havi is a commander I've wanted to build for a while, and wiping the board to come back immediately (haste??) Sounds awesome.
[[Assemble the players]] Card advantage [[Arabella, abandoned doll]] hopefully unblockable for a lot of lifegain [[Break through the line]] unblockable + haste [[Enduring innocence]] card advantage that sticks around [[escape tunnel]] neat mana fixing that could be used in a pinch [[goblin smuggler]] lots of these types of creatures, but this one is a 2/2 [[Delney, streetwise lookout]] prob already in your deck [[imperial recruiter]] tutor! [[puppet's verdict]] Joey Wheeler [[Saradoc, master of Buckland]] Blockers (not the best) [[Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa]] Backup secret Commander
@elfin horizon
I'm having a hard time deciding which one-sided board wipe is best used for a [[Council of Four]] Control Deck.
Is [[Expel the Interloper]], [[Fell The Mighty]] better than [[Aetherize]] in this kind of deck?
I feel like Aetherize could be used as a sort of politic board wipe card to fuck over that 1 player who is miles ahead of everyone else, but cards like expel or fell the mighty can potentially hit more creatures while still leaving my board safe due to council having 0 power.
Which one is more worth to use?
What I see are two good wipes for that deck and a fog effect. I'd be tempted to run all three.
Why not [[curse of the swine]]
Sorcery
Exile X target creatures. For each creature exiled this way, its controller creates a 2/2 green Boar creature token.
Another imminent battle subsided in busy snuffling and carefree rooting.
And the only creatures are gonna be artifact creatures
i thought i was craving brewing [[wyleth]], but turns out i just want a [[sunforger]] deck. what would you all recommend for a sunforger deck?
any tips for a Voja, Jaws of the Conclave deck
Easy
You want wolves, elves
And more importantly, you want them to be both things

Looking to optimize my saheeli energy deck, suggestions needed and welcome
I'm curious if the newest spoiled ff card [[celes rune knight]] be an interesting mardu phoenix commander upgraded from [[syrix]] ?
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard Knight
When Celes enters, discard any number of cards, then draw that many cards plus one.
Whenever one or more other creatures you control enter, if one or more of them entered from a graveyard or was cast from a graveyard, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
4/4
This is how you know an EDH deck is good 🔥
Especially if the deck has less than 99+1 cards. That's how you know the author was a fellow genius
Fixed up the decklist.
So how are we feeling about [[Varolz, the Scar-Striped]] crocodile tribal in Commander?
Legendary Creature — Troll Warrior
Each creature card in your graveyard has scavenge. The scavenge cost is equal to its mana cost. (Exile a creature card from your graveyard and pay its mana cost: Put a number of +1/+1 counters equal to that card's power on target creature. Scavenge only as a sorcery.)
Sacrifice another creature: Regenerate Varolz.
2/2
Feel like im overcooking here with all the synergies and just not sure what the slots should be
Working on [[Saheeli Radiant Creator]] and focusing on flying things like Thopters or the aetherjets, any recommendations for Vechiles to add?
Legendary Creature — Human Artificer
Whenever you cast an Artificer or artifact spell, you get
(an energy counter).
At the beginning of combat on your turn, you may pay

. When you do, create a token that's a copy of target permanent you control, except it's a 5/5 artifact creature in addition to its other types and has haste. Sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.
4/4
so I've got a skeleton deck I've been working on for a long time. I like it, but it feels like it just kind of spins it's wheels until [[skeleton crew]] hits the field. I don't want to run zombie token generators cause at that point I may as well just build zombies, and that's not all that unique.
is there anything I could run to fill the gaps if I don't draw into the skeleton crew?
Creature — Skeleton Pirate
Each other creature you control that's a Skeleton or Pirate gets +1/+1.
Whenever one or more creature cards leave your graveyard, create a 2/2 black Skeleton Pirate creature token. (This ability triggers only from the battlefield.)

: Return this card from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
3/3
I assume you're already running [[skeletal swarming]]?
Enchantment
Each Skeleton you control has trample, attacks each combat if able, and gets +X/+0, where X is the number of other Skeletons you control.
At the beginning of your end step, create a tapped 1/1 black Skeleton creature token. If a creature died this turn, create two of those tokens instead.
If you're looking to generate more skeletons in monoblack, [[Drudge Spell] is a card that isn't exactly good, but I love it very dearly.
{B}{B} • Enchantment • {B}, Exile two creature cards from your graveyard: Create a 1/1 black Skeleton creature token. It has "{B}: Regenerate this token." When this enchantment leaves the battlefield, destroy all Skeleton tokens. They can't be regenerated. • Homelands (HML) #45 • Illustrated by NéNé Thomas • Magic: The Gathering, MTG
I'm playing jund, and already using skeletal swarming. I like drudge spell, but a lot of my stuff has recursion, so typically I'd rather re-use what I have in grave than exile it for skeleton tokens.
drudge spell is a classic though
[[desecrated tomb]] is another skeleton adjacent option for generating tokens on gy exit that ties into the classic [[skeletal vampire]]. Fairly decent, but not fully on theme. Something I've messed with in low power skeleton decks, though, and had a good time with.
I'm playing tomb, and may reconsider vampire. I'm playing a lot of sub-optimal cards atm to try and have other token gen available, like [[dollhouse of horrors]], [[formless genesis]], [[blade of selves]], [[death-priest of myrkul]], [[soul foundry]], [[maskwood nexus]], and [[molten echoes]].
my skeletons don't really have ETBs so cloning them isn't the most impactful thing, and a lot of these options aren't very mana efficient, but at the very least they generate a little bit of board presense when skeleton crew isn't available.
Looking at building a Jeskai vehicles deck with either Kykar, Pramikron, or Narset Enlightened Master. I have a good idea on vehicles to add, but are there any non-vehicle creatures that would do particularly well in a deck like this? I’m not sure where to go after getting mana bases, ramp artifacts, and the vehicles I want to put in
ooh this looks great for my duskana deck
I'm more excited for [[Sin, Spira's Punishment]] than any other legendary from the Final Fantasy set
Sure, it's wicked expensive, but with those colors, I think it'll still make a good commander
I recently got a cheap $4 [[Time sieve]] from an auction and I'm planning on using it in my Rani Goad deck.
https://moxfield.com/decks/Db17uY6nWkm2Od4iiVMo6Q
The deck was a bracket 2 (swapped out gossip's talent for time sieve), and I was planning on using time sieve as just a sacrifice outlet and taking extra turn as a huge bonus.
I thought this would bump it up to a bracket 3 but reading discussions online, seems like if there's a chance that the time sieve can be used to chain extra turns but not as a guaranteed infinite people sees that as bracket 4.
Should I just slap in a thopter assembly to make it a part of infinite combo then? Feels kinda weird how the card usage went from a sac outlet and occasionally taking some extra turns into actually using it as a 2 card combo just to be able to fit in bracket 3 instead of 4.
Been working on this deck for a while, I've got six cards in the sideboard I really want to work in, in particular Dross Scorpion and six
So basically just looking for cut suggestions, it's already down to 100 cards but if there's anything you think deserves to be cut any second opinions or suggestions would be most welcome

I started this brew political Breena deck back in March 2021. The deck isn’t suppose to be well overpowering with many tutors. But, it’s built on Go-wide strategy with quite a bit of politics. I just need some input on this deck as far as in general and what bracket system would any of you think? Thanks.

hey how does [[aragorn hornsburg hero]] resolve on damage
Legendary Creature — Human Soldier
Attacking creatures you control have first strike and renown 1. (When a creature with renown 1 deals combat damage to a player, if it isn't renowned, put a +1/+1 counter on it and it becomes renowned.)
Whenever a renowned creature you control deals combat damage to a player, double the number of +1/+1 counters on it.

https://moxfield.com/decks/Ew-0DhFnAEG1cs6CB6LfdQ can someone help me fix my shroofus deck it has a 0% win rate in bracket 3 across 10 games
Why are you not running [[mycoloth]]
Or [[sporemound]]
Make every saproling you can then when they hit people you get more saprolings
Run a bunch of the spore counter Thalids and then proliferate them to get more saprolings fast with stuff like [[evolution sage]]
If I create two copies of [[psychosis Crawler]] from [[benthic anomaly]] what would my psychosis power be?
Creature — Eldrazi Serpent
Devoid (This card has no color.)
When you cast this spell, for each opponent, choose a creature that player controls. Create a token that's a copy of one of those creatures, except its power is equal to the total power of those creatures, its toughness is equal to the total toughness of those creatures, and it's a colorless Eldrazi creature.

bracket 3 as you don't have any ways to get out a niv before turn 5 except for sol rring. If you added fast mana in the form of artifacts or rituals and more free spells you could push it to bracket 4
There's enough interaction to slow down the table for a Niv to come in
yeah but just bracket 3 stuff
if you're tapping out on turn 5 for niv and plan to start doing stuff on turn 6 then its a bracket 3 deck
however if you cast some red rituals to make mana and can cast niv with some mana up on turn 4 or so and immediately burn the table then that is more bracket 4 shenanigans
Idk if you're ever tapping out for a commander in higher brackets unless it's your win and you have abolisher out
That's just asking for a blowout, especially with a Niv at the helm
But you're not slick I see the mizzix
so if you're not playing niv on turn 5 because you worry about a blow out then it becomes turn 6 or later than niv comes down. That's definitely bracket 3 territory by then, no doubt about it.
I purposely avoided putting in rituals cause in my group I tend to pop off first which directly leads to me being killed first lol. I’ve also heard people refer to 3 different levels for bracket 3, low, mid, high
i tend to make reference to high and low within each bracket. One aspect of Brackets is that a deck should be able to play up and down 1 bracket but in practise I find that it tends to be closer, but not exactly, either or, by which i mean, for example, a bracket 3 is a "high" bracket 3 that can enjoy a table with bracket 4's but will probably roll over unmodified precons or a "low" bracket 3 is vice versa. Also matters a lot what the actual match up is especially when some strong decks can be durdly and some weaker decks can be comparatively fast, especially if they get some good draws.
this stuff will also change a lot depending on the local meta and how good people are at building decks and playing those decks and nagivating the politics of commander. I try to have a broad view by playing a bit on spell table and also visiting different local game stores in my city. I was also lucky enough last year to travel to the states and japan and get to play at some LGS' there in some different cities.
\
4 because the combos are pretty possible t5-6 with a good hand
idk if Id count not comboing before turn 7 because you could choose not to lol
it’s entirely possible with ramp, and in upgraded precon territory theres not many decks threatening a win that early
to combo before turn 7 you need ramp which makes it a 3rd card (besides land) in the combo which is perfectly fine. It's only 2 card comboes before turn 7 that are a problem.
"choosing not to" is not a criteria for brackets. Either the cards are a 2 card combo or they aren't.
Stretching the definition of 3-card lol
To play thassa's oracle demonic consult u need like 3 lands or sth is it a 5 card combo now? XD
I think this is a weak 4 - multiple resilient 2-card combo lines make it hard to call it a 3
2 cards at turn 7 is fine. How do you do the 2 card combo before turn 7 without adding extra cards?
all it takes is a single mana rock, of which there are several in the deck. there are many possible paths to niv visionary on turn 4 or 5 followed by niv parun (uncounterable) or equivalent the turn after or, if you prefer, niv parun/firemind first and then a cheaper curiosity (maybe even on the same turn) - this deck can reliably do 2-card combos before turn 7, and they are 2-card combos, because you don't count random ramp pieces which help cast the combo as part of the combo
all I'm saying is if someone told me they were playing a 3, and it was niv mizzet combo, and they got a kill on turn 6 and said "haha it's legal because this arcane signet I played on turn 2 is part of the combo 😁" I'd just never play with them again
Is the deck really that strong? It’s only got one tutor and outside of Visionary it’s weak on card draw. Even in goldfishing a t6 kill is very rare and the 2 card combos are mana intensive being 10-12 total with a ton of set up
i think the risk is it's in that danger zone where when the early kills happen people at the table will feel bad about it but it's not actually very good compared to decks which can consistently produce those early kills
lemme try goldfishing it
first game i goldfished put niv-niv on board turn 6, no way to trigger the combo but it's poised to go off whenever someone next casts an instant/sorcery or failing that your next draw step
didn't even draw a mana rock, just used [[offer you can't refuse]] and countered my own spell for 2 treasure which provided the needed accleration and mana fixing
2nd game 1 mana off casting niv parun on turn 6 to get to the same situation
at least one player kill on turn 6, probably 2, just via comboless burn stuff
idk. it might be fine
feels good to play though!!
In this scenario you're leaving a Niv Mizzet on the battlefield for a whole turn cycle and it hasn't been removed. Maybe play more removal?
depends what combo ig!! if it's parun + curiosity could pretty feasibly be the same turn. and even if it is 2 nivs, at a table of all 3s it's a gamble whether anyone has removal in hand or not. I do think it's in very strong three or very weak 4 territory
@onyx ice u should probably just jam it a few times against whoever you're planning to play it with and see how it holds up against their 3s
@lime pivot @west fjord thank you for your input. Will keep this in mind when the deck comes in for the pregame conversations
this might be indicative that you could afford to be mulliganing deeper than you are?
like, I don't know if you're doing this but in case you are, u don't have to snap keep a playable hand on 7, u can dig a bit for one that has the gas
I was doing that in my testing but obviously if you do want to slow the deck down you can just choose not to do that xD
My group plays with a different mulligan rule, draw ten keep 7, you’re right tho I often keep “safe” hands rather than digging for gas
I just hate becoming the Archenemy all the time
ooooh that's interesting
Yeah I put it in bracket 3 territory. No relevant tutors for parun or curiosity I think so that turn 6 play (assuming a signet) would be in the vicinity of 2.25% or less than 1/40 games. Not to mention requiring not missing a land drop and having a perfect izzet split pushing it down even more.
Hi! Trying to make an esper humans edh deck, aside from Weathered Wayfarer and Knight of the White Orchid, are there any other suggestions for good human mana ramp in esper? Thank you!

I'm looking for a fun non mill , non artifact spam and not spell spam mono blue commander. The last one I played was a landfall/land spam [[kefnet Mindful]] but was too slow
I had an idea(probably not original) but Voltron with Mindskinner. Mono Blue unblockable voltron, but you mill the whole table instead.
Still probably some artifact spam because of equipment synergy.
[[scholar of new horizons]] is my new one for humans
Creature — Human Scout
This creature enters with a +1/+1 counter on it.
, Remove a counter from a permanent you control: Search your library for a Plains card and reveal it. If an opponent controls more lands than you, you may put that card onto the battlefield tapped. If you don't put the card onto the battlefield, put it into your hand. Then shuffle.
1/1
I might be cooking here
83 lands, and 16 non-permanent ramp cards. So essentially: Land Only.
with [[Obuun, Mul Daya Ancestor]] at the helm. I was caught up in a daydream, wondering if you could build a deck that was entirely lands.
And, you can, it might just end up being 'not good' but I thought this concept would be cute for a bracket 1 or 2 commander deck
Legendary Creature — Elf Spirit
At the beginning of combat on your turn, up to one target land you control becomes an X/X Elemental creature with trample and haste until end of turn, where X is Obuun's power. It's still a land.
Landfall — Whenever a land you control enters, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature.

Ok round two, what bracket does this deck belong in? It has a 3 card combo to get infinite card draw but other than that it’s punching faces in mono blue https://moxfield.com/decks/3b1PNNK0Iki8moPll4e7Vw
been playing tier 2 skeletons, and I like it well enough. I don't love that it goes infinit/semi-infinite as the primary wincon since it's supposed to be tier 2, but Idk if there's a good way to make the deck work otherwise....
Is there now a place for [[City of Shadows]] in my ulalek deck? If i'm going to be making a bunch of eldrazi spawn, why sac them for one mana, when I could exile them and use their mana for the rest of the game?

Hi! could i get some feedback on how to make these two decks more consistent and do the thing? https://archidekt.com/decks/9483094/vamps.
I am new to Magic.
First time trying to build my own commander deck and I was playing around with scryfall using different filters to find a commander that interests me.
I love Esika God of the tree because of her nice ability, cheap cost and that I can backside as a powerful enchantment.
I wanted to ask what will be a good strategy to follow for this deck. I think I would want to fill it with lots of legendary creatures and planeswalkers.
Any suggestions and recommendations?
Anyone in tune with the "vibes" of commander with IRL casual pods? I'm building a fun lil mono g stompy deck and was thinking about proxying a copy of [[The Great Henge]] but I'm unsure if it'll be compatible with the vibes of a casual pod given how much of an expensive card it is. I found out how easy it is to set off the vibes by accident as a newbie when I proxied an OG dual land ;~; the daggers that got stared at me still haunt me from that blunder

I played it out and got hit with "a dual land? i thought we were playing casual" and it's been living in my head despite it being many months since it happened. it makes me really paranoid when I'm deckbuilding that I might stumble into another one of those scenarios since I don't really have a defined scope of what a card's true power level is. the GC list helps in that regard since I can avoid the outliers and try to keep my decks to bracket 2 levels but outside of that list I'm hella lost on measuring a cards power in a vacuum
You're not going to really get a feel for it until you play more and see things/playstyles/decks/synergies, etc. Did you remind him that most of the non basic lands are dual lands (albeit, not as good as the OG dual lands since there's usually a cost (life, entering tapped, etc)). Nobody for a minute is gonna pull something like that if you play an [[exotic orchard]] which, if you're going 3rd or 4th, might arguably be BETTER than an OG dual land since you might have all 5 colors you can tap for with it...
what a ridicuous, unserious person.
your deck, as a whole, determines it's power level. It's not like you were doing a turn 1-2 infinite combo... IMO, if you run into that in the future, don't worry about it. Ask them what they mean, explain how your deck IS a casual deck, and depending on how that goes, just don't play with them again.
People can be real wierd. I've had people refuse to sit down and play with me with an unaltered precon becuase "that's a bit higher power level than we're looking for." it was the food LOTR precon. Literally one of the most middle of the road precons for power level.
i'd also be cautious of people like this, as in my experience, a high proportion of them tend to misrepresent the power level of their deck in order to ensure that the win.
Who you think is the better monk tribal commander?
And why?
Purely for monks? Elsha
Makes monks on contact
Narset doesn't give support to the typal you're building around outside of giving stuff prowess, and if you're building monks you likely already have prowess creatures
My advice is use Elsha but put Narset in the 99 for extra prowess + recast stuff to trigger prowess
Can l get any tips or opinions on my dimir deck? This is the first time l make something without green lol and would just like other people's thoughts

Currently stuck between Minsc and Boo vs. Blood Braid Elf vs. Rose, Cutthroat Raider
Minsc and Boo is just strong raw value that has synergy with some of the counter/token effects in the list
Blood Braid elf is another hasty creature that provides raw value with cascade and has bonus effects in getting double Rocco Triggers
Rose has exile and artifact token synergies with the deck
What yall doing with Deadpool trading card?
group slug and try to copy deadpool
rakdos isn't as good in flickering or doing a bunch of copies though
thats why I went for groupslug couldn't find enough support to make a purely deadpool copies deck
Yeah that's what I'm trying to do
With some other stuff too
Though I think we had the same idea lol
https://moxfield.com/decks/5bPnwvxvJkSo4uQZarEzGA
thoughts on wizard tribal maybe needs more instant and sorcery
Do you guys think [[Isshin, Two Heavens As One]] would be a good upgrade to put into my Caesar fallout precon?
ye
Human so already has some creature synergy, but doubling attack triggers when that's all Caesar wants to do is perfect
I had a dream that people ran land-only Toxrill and it was crazy good.
This is what I'm trying to figure out, there are some effects that copy from the grave yard and then there is helm of the host and blade of selves, black has tutors and return this creature to the battlefield when it dies effects. Maybe you could kill your own Deadpool to flicker it a bunch or something
I ended up making the deck full on copying and recurring deadpool with subtheme of sacrificing the copies and treasures, threw in an ancient copper because hell yeah and called it a day, will probably change it or something else for sheoldred to make better use of deadpool's activated ability

Also reserved the idea of groupslug for Abaddon the despoiler / Nekusar (I still don't know who will command that one)
So I’ve been kinda bored with the normal commanders. I’ve been looking for unique/different commanders but haven’t really found anything. Do y’all have any suggestions
What's your playstyle?
So I love ping/burn, but I’m trying to branch out
I need ideas for an orzhov deck to counter [[thrun the last troll]] . I have a player who o occasionally play against and its the most annoying thing. Stuff like [[Blasphemous edict]] [[farewell]] just stuff to make him never have thrun on the field. He tends to do a lot of aura stuff and always spam out lands till he gets a specific green sorcery idr the name to get out a few specific creatures
in orzhov your best bet will make him sacrifice it himself
[[consuming vapors]] [[chainer's edict]] [[devour flesh]] [[soul shatter]] are som examples
Ideas on how one could build a Commander deck around [[Coalition Honor Guard]] flagbearers?
My first idea was changelings but I'm not sure how much you can build a changeling deck with white
Creature — Human Flagbearer
While an opponent is choosing targets as part of casting a spell they control or activating an ability they control, that player must choose at least one Flagbearer on the battlefield if able.
Giving little thought to their own defense, they carried the flag that united their army.
2/4
you wanted it to be mono white? just checked and there is 2 flagbearers
List of flagbearers in white
https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=(type%3Acreature+type%3Aflagbearer)+commander%3AW+(game%3Apaper)
List of changelings that can be in white
https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=oracle%3Achangeling+type%3Acreature+commander%3AW+(game%3Apaper)
Oh, I don't mind the color, but it needs white since there are only 2 flagbearers (+changelings) and there is no white changeling that's a legendary (unless I missed it)
Maybe [[The Ever-Changing 'Dane]] becoming your flagbearer
Maybe with black it could be a re-animator changeling deck
oh that one could work yeah, im pretty sure black and white has more changelings, and copy effects in white
even if you have a lot of changelings on board remember that you need coalition honor to have the ability, so pack up card draw
or tutors for that matter
The idea would be to flood the board with Changelings then re-animate my Flagbearers if need be to have the effect in play
I can also make my commander become one of the flagbears then equip it with something to give it Hexproof to keep it safe while my other Flagbears swallow spells and abilities.
It's a bit "stax" but I think it could be interesting
Buried Alive and other similar spells could help me tutor my Flagbearers into the graveyard to be valid re-animation targets
The ever graceful [[morphon the boundless]]:
whats the wincon though
Legendary Creature — Shapeshifter
Changeling (This card is every creature type.)
As Morophon enters, choose a creature type.
Spells of the chosen type you cast cost

less to cast. This effect reduces only the amount of colored mana you pay.
Other creatures you control of the chosen type get +1/+1.

Hope they concede
since you are having A LOT of protection consider making your commander voltron and pray
Hello people!
Can I have some help on this Deck? First time posting, and input would be helpful.

Thanks in advance 🙂
Trying to find cuts for two includes for a Nahiri aggro deck of mine.
Post for it is here, and I'm tearing my hair out for what to cut.

Need advice on what to switch out. As is the deck is very slow and doesn’t feel like it can make a significant impact in most games. Looking to add Aetherize for more protection from attacks and some passive noncombat damage for easier draw but unsure about what else. Any advice would be greatly appreciated https://moxfield.com/decks/UKqsZu4IWUuMAdowmAGi1Q
https://moxfield.com/decks/6G2dUz5V1Ey40ESiSMBRVw
Can anybody help fix my deck to be more consistent and resilient and flexible and interactive
What bracket? Easiest way to get more impact is probably to put niv parun in the command zone instead and add curiosity, ophidian eye, tandem lookout to combo with him
This is my upgraded deck so far: https://archidekt.com/decks/12380912/caesar_upgrade
I’m wondering if you guys have any other suggestions for other swaps I should make? And also advice on general deck building, what I should be looking for when finding/making the suggested swaps?
I’d like to keep the bracket as a high bracket 2/low bracket 3 deck.
Budget is limitless (but obviously within reason), as I will be making proxies and ordering the upgrades over time to keep in my collection, and keep playing with proxies after (in order to keep the real cards in good condition)
Trying to get into standard a little bit and am trying to build a little simic landfall craziness, if anyones got a spare minute I'd appreciate any advice and feedback. The current idea is thinning my deck for Mossborn with Opt and Tatyova while also milling lands to drop Lumra who will mega buff the hydras. Obviously it's glass cannon af rn as I can't decide on what cards to put in and cut for creature recursion.
Brewed up (and still adjusting) an Abzan Midrange deck for EU Highlander! Some pieces of constructive criticism or advice would be much appreciated!

Hey all, I’m building a [[Neriv, Crackling Vanguard]] deck and I’m running through my options for board wipes. Is worth running [[Hour of Reconning]] and/or [[Crux of fate]]? My thinking is that hour of reconning can be used to save my token board state and crux of fate can be used to keep Neriv alive though I’m worried they could be trap cards that won’t perform as well as I hope
Legendary Creature — Spirit Dragon
Flying, deathtouch
When Neriv enters, create two 1/1 red Goblin creature tokens.
Whenever Neriv attacks, exile a number of cards from the top of your library equal to the number of differently named tokens you control. During any turn you attacked with a commander, you may play those cards.
4/4
People said it’s a 3 and I do have ophidian eye and curiosity in there but they’re mostly for the other pingers. You’re right about Parun but I want to keep Visionary since he’s less likely to be removed. Not sure which to remove, some counters or the single target removal in favor of more board wipes. Might need to add [[razorkin needlehead]]
yall think this a 4 or 5 https://archidekt.com/decks/11488239/alania_copy_high_power
Personally, I would up the land count more.
I think this is probably a low 3, maybe a high 2 that is inflated to technically four because of the number of game changers. I am not seeing what makes this a bracket 4 deck beyond running abunch of gamechangers.
Hello :) I'am new to commander And mtg in general, And I would like some budget card reccomendations. Reddit failed so please.

Hello, after some years of no Magic at all, i came back and started with Commander. My first precon was Vampiric Bloodline. But today the Deck hasnt much of the Cards left. I bought some new little vampires and supporters with innistrad remastered , but I dont know what to cut anymore. The cards i wana Add are in the Sideboard, while other notable vampires remain under "collection".
Would appreciate feedback and help, thanks in Advance ❤️

I was given [[yusri]] in a budget commander league I'm in, and I have no idea how to build Izzet 😐 The limit is $27 so nothing crazy, but figure I just get a few niv-mizzets and try to draw a bunch of cards
Legendary Creature — Efreet
Flying
Whenever Yusri attacks, choose a number between 1 and 5. Flip that many coins. For each flip you win, draw a card. For each flip you lose, Yusri deals 2 damage to you. If you won five flips this way, you may cast spells from your hand this turn without paying their mana costs.

Thinking of taking apart my lathril deck looking for another commander where i can bring most of the cards into. Preferably not an elf deck
How many reanimate targets should a reanimator deck aim to have?
I've been between the idea of 12 & 18 but im not sure
Does anyone mind helping me upgrade my caesar deck to a bracket 3?
Which is better as a commander for a tron deck and why? [[Trun breaker of silence]] or [[trun last troll]]
No card found for “trun last troll”
[[Thrun the last troll]]
breaker of silence, makes you work less and comes with a free commanders plate. Pretty hard to interact with besides a boardwipe but even then a snakeskin veil and they just wasted 4 mana
As long as I have 2 mana up isn't also really hard to destroy unless it says cannot be regenerated?
I'm not trying to argue if that's what it seems like I'm just not understanding why one is better
Cause I see a lot of people who say breaker of silence is better but hexproof is better, and as long as I have 2 mana regenerate works the same as indestructible as long as the spell doesn't have "can't be regenerated" which is harder to find than just casting a board wipe not in the turn of the owner of Thrun.
Yes The Last Troll doesn't have trample but giving a creature trample in green is so easy.
Indestructible is way more potent than regenerate
That, and breaker has way more potential to voltron since he starts with more p/t and already has the built in trample
Instead of adding voltron pieces that give breaker trample you get to cut those in favour of more powerful cards
You have a point that trample is easy to get in mono green but with breaker you don't have to worry about that in the first place
And regenerate means that you always have to make sure you have the mana open to pay it in case a boardwipe or something comes down
Last troll is better at protecting himself with hexproof + regenerate, but breaker lets you pack more punch. No wrong answer either way, but in terms of punch face breaker is better
And that's more or less all that voltron wants to do
Finding a new home for Ob Nixilis Reignited. I kicked him out of my Willowdusk deck in exchange for Tyvar Jubilant Brawler and I’m wondering if he’d be a better fit in my Temmet deck or my valgavoth deck. My Temmet deck really struggles with life gain so that’s a con but the entire deck is based around card draw to buff zombies, so in that way it’s good, but valgavoth struggles with card draw and his ultimate compliments her super well, but I don’t know if having Nixilis out will really get the chance to shine if the opponents realize what the ult does for me
trying to do budget cats for my niece. needs interraction and more card draw, but it's tricky to fit stuff without stifling the identity/budget. https://archidekt.com/decks/12190917/budget_cats
ngl, kinda wish wasitora just made the token, but the effect could be countered by that opponent saccing a creature.
rather just get a token honestly
Yea you're right. The Last Troll is better at sticking around assuming you have 2 mana up, but Breaker is just a bit more suitable for voltroning your brains out
Hey guys, my friend can play video games but when he found out about the final fantasy set he really got into that and so he pre-ordered one of the decks. He wants to play commander and so I was explaining to him what a Voltron deck is because he chose to purchase cloud. Now I made a cloud deck I’m not going to play it or anything. I just want my friend to see what a Voltron deck is or how to work it and what he thinks of it but I would like to know what you guys think of this build right now. Should I do something with this deck? Should I take some things out and if so, why and what should I put in?
https://moxfield.com/decks/twm1F4gvREaDdkBW1MKSUg
you are severely overestimating regenerate and how hard it is to hold two mana up forever and also win
I'm more so putting emphasis on a cheaper creature, and hexproff. Regenerate is just a good bonus since it's not dependent on it being my turn
However I have lamented that Breaker of Silence is over all better tron
I think protection from nongreen is going to be better a good amount of the time since it means you also dont take damage from those sources, but I get you
the one mana can be a real difference
good luck with your trolling
It's not protection from non green...... what are you on about
oh righ tmb
Protection means I cannot block the breaker of silence with my non green creature. The breakers is just a worse hexproof since it can be the target of things like assassin's trophy
And I wasn't trolling I was asking a question, got proving wrong and admitted I was wrong.....
[[Assassin's trophy]]
Instant
Destroy target permanent an opponent controls. Its controller may search their library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle.

trolling because he is a troll
I wasnt trying to call you a troll hahaha sorry
I see how you would interpret it like that
Ohhhh I see now lol that is a funny joke
I just ran a game with Mt Breaker of Silence
My opponent had so many death touch creatures. Yea breaker of silence for sure better
I’m trying to make a Monty python and the holy grail fling creatures at people deck. Any suggestions or opinions?
[[taurean mauler]] it is not only a hamster, but also a cow, and a witch.
Still need a duck
Hey guys, also if you guys take a look at my Ultron deck, I wanna ask if you guys can let me know is this a bracket three or four?
if you have to ask it is likely a 3 ^^ bracket 4 typically includes fast mana, cheap tutors and interaction, stax, and easy/fast combos
I'm asking because my friend thinks it is bracket 4.
what turn does it win on in a vacuum?
That varies on my opponents. I don't believe this is a combo deck. This no Krenko deck
ok, well on average when does it win
how people interperet the bracket system is wildly different but I can say with pretty high confidence that this is a high 3 at best
That is what I was saying too! I thought this was bracket 3. This is what he said "Looks like a well built tuned bracket 4 Voltron list, which is rad but the general pod on Mondays is usually going for brackets 2/3 or a full blown cEDH game. That bracket 4 zone is hard to get going"
most likely because you are running mox opal, fast mana is pretty frowned upon below bracket 4
This is a new deck. It's like I said it varies on my opponent. I play test against my Atraxa deck, my Octavia deck and my Hashaton deck. It's tough. I haven't played at LGS because that card isn't out yet.
I mean, maybe if you are playing in person bracket 4 just means high powered bracket 3 lol
online it basically just means off-meta cEDH decks
if you aren't winning by 4 or 5 in a vacuum its probably not bracket 4
did he playtest it? its generally good to just go based on how it feels based on the power level of the table
The guy at our pod said we run 2/3 is BS because he usually runs his Goblin deck and I swear his stuff isn't bracket 2 or 3...
idk lol, its a casual format but I would just try to look at winrate and how everyone at the table is reacting to it
if people are consistently salty and saying it is too strong, it probably is
did you play him and stomp bracket 3 games? I don't really understand why someone would say it is a 4
Cloud hasn't played live partly because its not out yet. I'm going to start playing on untap.in soon
fair, I would go based on that. also, I think if you are concerned about people assuming the power level of your deck I would cut some of the really generic staples for better synergy pieces
I can say w/ pretty high certainty it isn't a 4, at 5 cmc even with the absolute nuts you are getting him online on 3, and the deck has almost zero resiliency against interaction
I like [[Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood]]
Legendary Creature — Salamander Serpent
Whenever Xolatoyac enters or attacks, put a flood counter on target land. That land is an Island in addition to its other types for as long as it has a flood counter on it.
At the beginning of your end step, untap each permanent you control with a counter on it.
6/6
He is just a little guy until he's not
