Made a deck around swinging and flinging leviathan like cards
Hurricane would be great in a hydra deck
With X spells being a focus
How is [[animists awakening]] any good in an x deck?
So I’m wanting to try more Izzet but didn’t jive with Stella. Thinking MH3 Ral or Bria for storm style. Anyone try both and have opinion on pros and cons of them?
Looking for help finalizing my deck if anyone wants to give some input thanks xx https://discord.com/channels/574711449566445603/1274167152504475720
Anyone know of any fun planeswalker commander builds that aren't Atraxa?
Idk
Im looking to build [[Edward Kenway]] as a pirate/vehicle deck with a side strategy of stealing my opponents' stuff. (And throwing in a time Sieve for good measure)
Legendary Creature — Human Assassin Pirate
At the beginning of your end step, create a Treasure token for each tapped Assassin, Pirate, and/or Vehicle you control.
Whenever a Vehicle you control deals combat damage to a player, look at the top card of that player's library, then exile it face down. You may play that card for as long as it remains exiled.
5/5
[[xavier Sal]]
Legendary Creature — Human Fungus Pirate
, Remove a counter from another permanent you control: Populate. Activate only as a sorcery. (Create a token that's a copy of a creature token you control.)
, Sacrifice another creature: Proliferate. Activate only as a sorcery. (Choose any number of permanents and/or players, then give each another counter of each kind already there.)
3/3
[[Commodore guff]] and [[leori sparktouched]] seem pretty cool
Legendary Planeswalker — Guff
At the beginning of your end step, put a loyalty counter on another target planeswalker you control.
+1: Create a 1/1 red Wizard creature token with "
: Add
. Spend this mana only to cast a planeswalker spell."
−3: You draw X cards and Commodore Guff deals X damage to each opponent, where X is the number of planeswalkers you control.
Commodore Guff can be your commander.
Loyalty: 5
That leori does look interesting anf my type of commander
Leori really seems like the "oh you wanna run all Jace cards? Here you go have fun" commander
Chandra, teferi, elspeth ect
Just run a deck with half of each or 1/3 each lol
Odd request but what creatures would fit into an [[uncle istvan]] deck while keeping flavor? Thought about putting big, scary creatures in it— hinting that the old woodsman confers with ancient demons and gods of some kind.
Stuff with a creepiness factor like [[grinning demon]]
brewing a U tempo deck, where i use cards like Haunting Figment and Looter Il-Kor to constantly apply pressure. I just need help with what my payoff should be? And what counterspells should I run? The deck is on a budget and im trying to use as little expensive cards as possible
Infinite self mill wincons? I'm working with [[the ancient one]]
Cedh
if we are talking inf mana -> inf activations, you usually keep a card in hand at the end, and just thoracle from hand with empty lib.
But if there is maybe some sort of LED combo or other reason you might be hellbent while comboing, but no actuall self-mill combo (you have plenty of mana whenever you need the "selfmill" wincon) I think from the catacombs is a good option, as it's actually a kind of powerfull grind engine in slower games.
if you have other actual mill combos, like some altar of dementia stuff or breakfast. You probably do narcomeba + fate stitcher + dread return as 0 (or 1) mana win post mill
In a First Sliver list, would you guys swap out Amoedboid Changeling for Black Market Connections?
I dont find myself using Sliver Overlord to tutor for it as much and it just seems kinda janky.
All your creatures should be slivers right? I wouldn't even consider including it
No urza's incubator?
Nope shapeshifters etb-ing doesn't trigger cascade
Incubator doesn’t really help getting me to WUBRG, so I don’t run it in this. It doesn’t help me get my commander out quicker.
Very true, so keep it out yeah?
I wouldn't trade a sliver for it no, but it's probably good in general for slivers. If you find a non sliver you think isn't pulling its weight go ahead
I think incubator does help get to wuburg
- run a tutor or 2 or increase consistency so you can grab the sliver that makes all your slivers tap for any color.
Then ur Rollin
Or grab the sliver that tutors
Best combo with ur commander and intruder alarm
Plus haste
I made a deck around the best use case for this old awful fish
Any suggestions for [[calip triad]] ?
No card found for “calip triad”
[[Capitoline Triad]]
Legendary Creature — God Artificer
Those Who Came Before — This spell costs
less to cast for each historic card in your graveyard. (Artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas are historic.)
Exile any number of historic cards from your graveyard with total mana value 30 or greater: You get an emblem with "Creatures you control have base power and toughness 9/9."
7/7
Tokens deck with historic tribal
Make all ur 1/1s 9/9s
Or you can go eldrazi
Make the 0/1 eldrazi 9/9s
could i get suggestions on 2 cuts for a mesmeric orb and incarnation technique? https://www.moxfield.com/decks/wanabJN_2kqsn8rImDGu-A
Lmao. Horrible idea
Cut a creature that doesn't have value I guess
Sorry didn't mean to be rude. I used to be a fan of cutting lands till I wasn't.
My reasoning is your goal is to not pay mana costs at a certain point
So your going to run into a situation where you need juice and I Draw lands
Ur curve is also relatively low
Maybe add in another flicker source
Imo
Or kaya the inexorable
Removal, protects your stuff as well
And if you ult her
G2g
Tell me how you think that… the only cards it affects that help me get to WUBRG are the mana slivers. I am playing pretty aggro, so spending a turn dropping a 3 cost artifact that doesn’t get my commander out quicker isn’t a great idea…
I suppose. Just a tutor then for the mana silvers instead
Hey are there any obvious upgrades I could make to get from the I win without my opponents reactions to I win through my opponents? I feel quite slow most games unless i mulligan to a good hand with a draw engine thats not countered(OR Smotheing Tithe).
just got an emerald medallion, what should I swap it for?
https://www.topdecked.com/decks/slimefoot-tokens/f4a16afc-c655-4f37-8637-b7c6541c0ca7
I feel like it’d help get verdant and his enchantment out
since they mana expensive
I got it, swapped it for predator ooze and put him in my gruul deck
ahhhhhh sick I wish mine was the foil but I don’t want to rebuy the card
fungus gang we don’t need white to make our fungus work
I have seen a green/white/black version of this deck but I don’t feel like it needs it
Lol yeah i traded the lgs for it
we love supporting local business
even if it’s just trade-ins

Cuts Needed! Grixis Eggs
Hello all, just have maybe a simple question. Im trying to add Boseiju, WhoWhoWho
TThisfreakinpad
Nm
🙄
Ok, lemme try this again... I'm building a commander deck based on the meta of Dungeons & Dragons. It basically functions like a one-shot campaign-in-a-box. A majority of the cards come from the Forgotten Realms and Balder's Gate sets (the major inspiration for building the deck),
... but as I've been building, I've been finding better cards to put in, Rakdos Signet instead of Charcosl Diamond, as example.
Ever since Kamigawa: Neon Dyn came out and I pulled a Boseiju, I've wanted to put it in my deck, but for an issue...
Can you search for Boseiju using something like Terramorphic Expanse, Traverse The Outlands, Jund Panorama, or similar cards?
Boseiju is a Legendary Land and specifically produces Green Mana
, but I would guess that would exclude it from "Basic Land" status...
I've tried googling this, but my searches come up incessantly with pages about "how good Boseiju is" and "what Boseiju does" and so on
Boseiju is not a basic land and so none of the cards you listed can search for it. There are of course cards that let you search for nonbasic lands in your deck, for example [[exploration map]]
Sorry, [[Expedition map]] is what I meant
you can very easily identify whether a land is basic or not by looking at its typing
So far, the only basic lands are Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, Forest and Wastes
As well as the "snowcovered" versions of them
How have the lands felt? It feels a bit light given how expensive the commander is, but you'd know best. Personally, I'd recommend cutting the cards that don't do much unless you happen to be in a winning position already e.g., Smitten Swordmaster and Corpse Knight. If you're putting out enough tokens for these guys to be a threat, then you've already got a threatening board state, they're not adding much.
https://manabox.app/decks/riZa87WVSDO_lib8v2HiKw
Can anyone tell me if I did good on this
budget deck i made for modern?
Just wanna know if i did decent or good
Havent tested yet but feedback would be nice
Kind of a dumb idea I had to just load otharri with all the swords and just go from there lol . Opinions? - https://www.moxfield.com/decks/zz50Wg4T_UuhbU2BQr8o6g
Can I post my work in progress deck list?
Should I color balance this deck to make it more white-focused cause of Pearl Amulet and Oketra's Monument? Or should I instead go for pure Knight-typal value? Or is this deck fine the way it is?
how to i abuse the goblins this guy gives opponents?
Thoughts about my deck?
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/iC7vnwMfaUO7Aq8I7XUjHg
Looks fun I just pulled a textured foil kenaway and really want to build him
Been playing a lot of Alania divergent storm thoughts on some cards I could really need to add to help the bug spell game plan https://archidekt.com/decks/8853922/alania_copy
I would avoid running stuff like Prisoner's Dilemma here. It's a cool spell but quickly loses its novelty when you copy it a bunch.
I think you want a lot more spells like Big Score. All the spells that draw and produce treasures are crazy valuable when you copy them. there's a bunch more like [[Pirate's pillage]] [[unexpected windfall]] [[inspired tinkering]] [[seize the spoils]]
I would run those over risky ramp options like Mana Flare, personally. I don't think flare works well here since you're not really ramping with lands, you're mostly using artifact ramp and rituals.
I'm also not entirely sure what Displacer Kitten is doing here? I'm not really seeing all that many flicker targets
Is there a combo with it that I'm not seeing?
Fair really lol tbh yeah I pulled it and just liked the card it’s not too good solid advice
Mana flare I play if I get extra turns more then 1 and it’s a set up if I don’t have any add mama spells to just pump x cost spells thoughts ?
Kitten is mostly for dockside resetting my one ring and isocron septer and rocks it might not be the best but tbh is always a huge removal bait for opponents also thoughts?
I've thought about this card and the only way I can think of it in these colors is an intruder alarm effect + blink package or a [[suture priest]] effect, but there aren't very many of these
If I’m doing Rakdos treasures, should I do [[kalain]] or [[mahadi]]
Legendary Creature — Human Elf Bard
When Kalain, Reclusive Painter enters, create a Treasure token. (It's an artifact with "
, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color.")
Other creatures you control enter with an additional +1/+1 counter on them for each mana from a Treasure spent to cast them.
1/2
Legendary Creature — Devil
At the beginning of your end step, create a Treasure token for each creature that died this turn. (It's an artifact with "
, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color.")
"Welcome to the Wandering Emporium. Feel free to browse the bazaar. We have everything a lost soul could want, need, or afford."
3/3
I’ve been messing with a jund build with [[vazi]] but I struggle with my mana bases in 3 colors
Legendary Creature — Human Advisor
Haste
: Target opponent creates X Treasure tokens, where X is the number of Treasure tokens you created this turn.
Whenever an opponent casts a spell or activates an ability, if mana from a Treasure was spent to cast it or activate it, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature, then draw a card.
3/3
I noticed my first themed deck with the boros Eivor was...a little weak. Hard to work with themed cards and make it good. But then I totally forgot that Angel's are Valkyries. So why not add some power to this equipment deck? But needing a lot of cuts, 21 atm. All help us appreciated
Do I have enough treasure token generation in here?
What are some Tabletalk cards that fit well in the Pirate Theme? [[Curse of Opulence]] [[Share the Spoils]] [[Dead Man's Chest]] and [[Bounty Board]] come to mind
Enchantment
When Share the Spoils enters and whenever an opponent loses the game, exile the top card of each player's library.
During each player's turn, that player may play a land or cast a spell from among cards exiled with Share the Spoils, and they may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to cast that spell. When they do, exile the top card of their library.
yeah not really in the colors to tutor for that to make it consistent anyway
I bet [[beza]] would be good in it and other sort of tax effects in white. You could also goad? But they'll just trade goblins for other goblins.
Legendary Creature — Elemental Elk
When Beza, the Bounding Spring enters, create a Treasure token if an opponent controls more lands than you. You gain 4 life if an opponent has more life than you. Create two 1/1 blue Fish creature tokens if an opponent controls more creatures than you. Draw a card if an opponent has more cards in hand than you.
4/5
Has anyone else enthusiastically brewed up a deck, focused on getting the theme and list just right, then taken a step back once complete and gone: “Oh no, am I a monster? This is horrible to play against.”
Because I just did that with a pure white bordered deck. And yet, I kinda really still want to play it… >.>
I used to have an [[isperia the Inscrutable]] deck that tutored every turn and looked at everyone's hands. Luckily I never made it in paper playing on tabletopsim a few times was enough to let me know the silly toolbox I thought I made was a flying combo deck : /
Legendary Creature — Sphinx
Flying
Whenever Isperia the Inscrutable deals combat damage to a player, choose a card name. That player reveals their hand. If a card with the chosen name is revealed this way, search your library for a creature card with flying, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle.
3/6
Yeah that sounds tiresome to play against. But better than this monster. It’s a Bant Stax/Control deck led by [[Rubinia Soulsinger]] - white bordered English cards only, except for an Italian lighting greaves in turn considering list.
Putting a deck together and not realizing I added an insane 2-3 card combo.
I saw this post last night and decided to grab a copy of her. I still don’t necessarily know what I plan to do but it’ll be fun!
Done that myself too. When it’s an infinite combo too and not intentional, feelsbadman lol
Don’t do what I did and brew up an all white bordered Stax / Control list. Unless you don’t mind losing friends.
With the wincon being yoinking an opponent’s creature and somehow finding a win that way or, and I’ll be honest, banking on our lord and savior Colossal Dreadmaw >.>
https://archidekt.com/decks/9004108/vela_artifact_creatures
Would really love if someone who is familiar with artifact strategies could take a look at this (or anyone with a vela deck). the idea was to swing with fat unblockables and finish the game with drain.
Black market connections maybe?
what for?
Guess not
Okay so for my last creature spot, should I put in [[maeve insidious]] or [[solemn simulacrum]]?
Legendary Creature — Siren

: Goad target creature. Whenever that creature attacks one of your opponents this turn, you draw a card. (A goaded creature attacks each combat if able and attacks a player other than you if able, until your next turn.)
Her haunting tune drowns out the percussion of snapping masts.
3/4
I’m focusing mostly on card draw
I guess I could put both in but 🤷
Creatures with changeling get all the associated buffs, or have them activated when a changeling is on your field right?
Because I'm beginning to feel like I should grab this card for a lot of my decks, its a rather widely applicable equipment
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/R965bxKiL06cF2koEIuPYw
Just tried making a budget yuriko deck, and just wondering if this is good enough for PL 7?
I also included the peregrine drake so that i have a combo to atleast end the game in case of a long game, but I feel like it's kinda forced/too janky. I would love to get some advices on other cards that might fit better into the deck.
Correct. However this will NOT work for the card's references having a "full party" since the party mechanic this equip is based off requires 4 unique entities matching the combined total 4 types
If you have multiple creatures that fit into the Full Party typal requirements, each creature can only fulfill one of the 4 required types even if they meet multiples like a changeling does. You do however get all the keywords even with one changeling since it only cares about controlling a creature with the matching type
She dodges commander tax. Has draw on her. She is one of the best budget commanders you could possibly build.
Not to mention she burns the whole table
Is go to 34 lands after play testing it.
Curve is low enough and ur commander has draw.
I get to the point where I don't need lands anymore and need other things instead
Spark double as budget option
Any ideas?
I'd say go for solemn if you're looking for a generic slotfiller. Speaking of your commander, I run them in the 99 of my deck and I've been wondering, what 1 - 10 value do you typically call with it's effect?
I haven’t gotten a chance to play him yet but I believe 2 or 3 is the right answer!
I’ll put both in for now and see how it goes. Both have uses
Could do the new banner too
Banner?
Oh I’m not running kindred with Talion
Just card draw and some control
Or are you talking about that ninja deck
If so my bad lmao
Ya ninja
Definitely a big fan of [[Patchwork Banner]] love that it taps for mana
Looking for help with 1-for-1 in Indominus Rex, Alpha.
Discussion post for advice: https://discord.com/channels/574711449566445603/1279672386651951114
TL;DR
+1 Eradicator Valkyrie?
-1 Glissa Sunslayer?
Edit: decided to add Ulamog 2.0 for the 7th indestructible card, and because it's a strong reanimation target.
looking for general opinions as i dont have a consistent playgroup, would the average person be okay if I rule zeroed [[lurrus]] as a companion for an [[alesha, who smiles at death]] deck? the rest of the deck would follow the companion rule, it’s just alesha who cant
Legendary Creature — Cat Nightmare
Companion — Each permanent card in your starting deck has mana value 2 or less. (If this card is your chosen companion, you may put it into your hand from outside the game for
as a sorcery.)
Lifelink
Once during each of your turns, you may cast a permanent spell with mana value 2 or less from your graveyard.
3/2
I personally wouldn't be okay with that just cuz how bonkers lurrus is
That seems like a combo that would be cracked
thats wat i was worried about, i figured having the restriction of both power 2 or less AND cmc 2 or less would be enough to bring the powerlevel down but im already seeing issues and i havent even built the deck
i really hope they revisit companion someday because its really cool but none of the possible combinations interest me very much
guess i could do obosh
Obosh would be a fun way to make the little creatures you'll be recurring do even more damage
yea it just makes the deck mega slow because the ramp will be so bad
Hey. I’m trying ideas for a Syr Gwen deck, but I only want to use women knights in the deck. Anyone have recommendations for woman knight cards in mardu?
[[belle of the brawl]]
[[stormfist crusader]]
[[danitha capashen, paragon]]
[[balan]]
[[balan wandering]] oops
Oooooooo
[[aryel knight]] [[acclaimed attender]] and here’s some more
Creature — Human Knight
When Acclaimed Contender enters, if you control another Knight, look at the top five cards of your library. You may reveal a Knight, Aura, Equipment, or legendary artifact card from among them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
3/3
Cool idea, I hope it works out for you!
There’s a few knights that aren’t obviously women but [[blacklance paragon]] is one I’m almost sure is
Now I’m trying to build a Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls deck on Moxfield
Yes! I contemplated it, and I agree. I am also considering either putting the Nazgūl or Templar Knights cards in, since they’re pretty cheap and have synergy. Though I’m not sure which would be better
What would everyone think the background with the highest potential to be high-powered for Karlach, Fury of Avernus?
I like these
The nasty things this would do as a commander is insane. I’m excited for Duskmourn now, even if it’s just because of this card and this character
hey im building an Orzov soldier tribal/ token generator deck any ideas for cards i could use?
Tfw you have a perfect deck you're happy with but it's 113 cards TwT
i feel you bro
Made some upgrades to my Stella Lee, I don’t run any tutors, thoughts? https://www.moxfield.com/decks/9bYhNlRZ0UCZqd5WKRkXHg
Okay this is kinda cool tho
Should I be more aggressive with mulligans to make sure I have draw in my opening hand? I'm play UB/Dimir faerie tribal and have a consistent issue that I run out of gas after getting my commander [[Alela, Cunning Conqueror]] onto the board. she needs me to play instants on my opponent's turn to build up tokens but I regularly feel like my hand is super thinned out by then
Building this deck, mainly as a budget build. Please let me know what swaps or adds you would make
Hey yall
could I get some help on getting two cuts for a [[millikin]] and a [[[path to exile]]
That sounds more like a deck construction issue? How many of your instant speed spells cantrip/replace themselves in some way?
9 of the 19 do, it's also supported with cards like [[Wavebreak Hippocamp]] [[Nymris, Oona's Trickster]] and [[Blightwing Bandit]] to a lesser extent
I feel like you might just need small cantrips that draw into other cantrips. What's your source of casting stuff on opponents turn mainly? Like kill spells and stuff?
Yeah I agree with what someone previously said
do you have a lot of card draw engine in the deck it self
I have a alela deck myself, so I'm curious which route you decided to go with it, instant or flash creatures?
I feel like cantrips are the way to go with her but I haven't played against one of her before
in my alela deck I have card like [[faerie mastermind]] [[notion thief] ]
Oh no you could go counterspells if you hate your tables
You gotta put 2 of those brackets
[[faerie mastermind]]
It won't work retroactively
[[notion thief]]
There ya go
[[archimage emeterius]] if you doing a lot of instant
No card found for “archimage emeterius”
[[archmage emeritus]]
[[sphinx of the second sun]]
Yeah outside of my spells that replace themselves, it's counterspells and 2 - 3 CMC interaction pieces like [[reality shift]] [[snap]] [[spellstutter sprite]]
here some more draw i have in my alela deck [[dire undercurrent]], [[talion, the kindly lord]], [[reconnaissance mission]],
oooh I haven't seen dire undercurrents before. that's really nice
you'd also want spell that draw you more card in instant form such as, [[opt]] [[keep watch]] [[deduce]] [[frantic search]] etc
yeah also [[skull clamp]] ofc
these are thing you should add to give you that card draw you need. since your command isn't giving you card draw. that means you need to put card draw into the deck otherwise you run into these issue. likely blue is very known for having many option of card draw. you can throw in [[rhystic study]] and [[mystic remora]]
[[kindred discovery]]
yeah but I know I threw a lot of stuff at you for card draw but youll figure it out hell i still am
lol
thanks for all the suggestions to mull over
let me know if this is help. with alela you want a good balance of card draw, counter spell + removal, and misc. stuff
more card leads to A) closer to wincon/ key pieces to your deck and B) more accessible to cards that can solve problem now or later on
fairies are small creature as a creature type and must be cunning. in order to win they have to solve the issue around the table. that how i feel they should be played as a tribal deck.
What are some fun ways to bring a guessing game or randomness to [[Gollum scheming guide]]
Legendary Creature — Halfling Horror
Whenever Gollum, Scheming Guide attacks, look at the top two cards of your library, put them back in any order, then choose land or nonland. An opponent guesses whether the top card of your library is the chosen kind. Reveal that card. If they guessed right, remove Gollum from combat. Otherwise, you draw a card and Gollum can't be blocked this turn.
2/1
As a commander in Monoblack or in the 99? I know plenty of ways if he’s in the 99. If only Monoblack, hmmm. Less guessing and more symmetrical chaos. If that sounds close enough I know some fun tools. I dabble in chaos from time to time
99 I'd say
Symmetrical chaos? Do tell
hey im looking to make my first spellslinger deck but im kinda lost on what to go for/wincons etc
been putting ideas in this decklist: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/y5oFVejdaEedd2zu5xpFpA
(I want to try to use some interesting cards I've never seen before, such as borrowing 100,000 arrows) Thought otters would be cool cause they're adorable irl and the concept seems appealing, but I just don't really know what to do if I'm being honest 😅
im trying to build a riku storm deck, but i just have to many ideas. i want to storm off creating a massive amount of tokens, i feel like i need more ramp and cantrips though i just dont know what to cut. PLEASE HEP. id also love some x cost token generators for sorcery and instants.
In mono black? [[Fraying Omnipotence]] and [[Dire Fleet Ravager]] come to mind
Creature — Orc Pirate Wizard
Menace, deathtouch
When Dire Fleet Ravager enters, each player loses a third of their life, rounded up.
His fists fume with the decay of death, each strike a plague on the hearts of his enemies.
4/4
[[Scheming Symmetry]] I think?
I won’t post them all here. PM me if you’re interested.
how do yall feel about this in a tinybones discard deck? it seems really neat but most hand hate effects specify nonland or some type that isnt land
Any advice on this araumi rough draft? Looks slow, maybe cut a lil mill/draw and add more payoffs for reanimate/araumi? https://www.archidekt.com/decks/9115657/araumimator
Yeeeeeeeeees, I have drawn another poor soul into the depth of CHAOS!
What's the difference between Signets and tailsmans?
Or why would I want to run one over the other?
Signets require mana to activate.
If you’re a more control heavy deck with most instances then talismans are usually better than signets.
Both have pros and cons. Usually signers are ran first before talismans but not always. Sometimes both.
Any one have a decklist for brallin skyshark rider // Shabraz the skyshark??
Eh, I feel like most of the time this will just be a 3MV rock that might not even tap for the colors you need.
Sometimes you might get lucky and someone discards a bounceland or something. But it's just very dependent on what kinds of lands people run
The other issue is that this doesn't start ramping you until you made someone discard a land. So playing it on turn 3, it might just be a do-nothing
That's a good point, even the gold medal winner for discard effects thoughtsieze specify nonlands... so I'd have to get a forced random discard effect set up and hope it's a land. This may never do anything at all even. 3 mana do nothing.
I suppose this would be better in a multicolor mill deck
Like mothman or Tasha
I just don't think it's that good in general lol
I feel there's a place for it, it's a very neat mana rock but it really doesn't have a place in mono black hand hate to your point
Best case is what, a maze of ith or a command tower?
Hmm
Actually that's not very good is it
Now that I say that
I'd probably prefer a commanders Sphere in a multicolor deck
In a mill deck you might be able to land some big hitters like Gaea's cradle or whatever, but again, you're relying on opponents to bring those lands to the table.
Legendary Artifact Creature — Robot
More Than Meets the Eye

(You may cast this card converted for

.)
At the beginning of each end step, bolster 1. (Choose a creature with the least toughness among creatures you control and put a +1/+1 counter on it.)
When Optimus Prime dies, return it to the battlefield converted under its owner's control.
4/8
Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader
Legendary Artifact — Vehicle
Living metal (During your turn, this Vehicle is also a creature.)
Trample
Whenever you attack, bolster 2. The chosen creature gains trample until end of turn. When that creature deals combat damage to a player this turn, convert Optimus Prime.
6/8
Hello pls gimme advice on this deck.
Thought about putting [[archmage emeritus]] in since I have so many instants but idk
i have a deck with a secret commander [[the capitoline triad]], my current commander is [[akul the unrepentant]]. but i was wondering if someone like [[chainer, nightmare adept]] would be a better commander for the deck
7/7
Legendary Creature — Scorpion Dragon Rogue
Flying, trample
Sacrifice three other creatures: You may put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield. Activate only as a sorcery and only once each turn.
Crackling with rage and stolen thunder, he drives the Hellspurs to ever-greater heights of violence.
5/5
or any other recommendations for possible commanders
If you’re going for artifacts specifically, I quite like [[Jhoira, Ageless Innovator]]. Considering historic includes Sagas, [[Tom Bombadil]] could be fun, since all your sagas go to the graveyard when they finish anyways, though five colour is hard to get right (especially if you’re budgeting)
Legendary Creature — God Bard
As long as there are four or more lore counters among Sagas you control, Tom Bombadil has hexproof and indestructible.
Whenever the final chapter ability of a Saga you control resolves, reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a Saga card. Put that card onto the battlefield and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order. This ability triggers only once each turn.
4/4
[[Rona, Herald of Invasion]] might work
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard
Whenever you cast a legendary spell, untap Rona, Herald of Invasion.
: Draw a card, then discard a card.

: Transform Rona. Activate only as a sorcery. (
can be paid with either
or 2 life.)
1/3
Rona, Tolarian Obliterator
Legendary Creature — Phyrexian Wizard
Trample
Whenever a source deals damage to Rona, Tolarian Obliterator, that source's controller exiles a card from their hand at random. If it's a land card, you may put it onto the battlefield under your control. Otherwise, you may cast it without paying its mana cost.
"At last, I am compleat."
5/5
I ended up keeping akul as the commander but ended up putting [olivia, Crimson bride]] in the 99 and i think i might do the same with chainer
Oh! And [[Arbaaz Mir]] could be good!
Legendary Creature — Human Assassin
Whenever Arbaaz Mir or another nontoken historic permanent you control enters, Arbaaz Mir deals 1 damage to each opponent and you gain 1 life. (Artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas are historic.)
"Until you have found a cause worth fighting for, you cannot know what you will sacrifice for it."
2/2
How balanced does this deck seem? My main goal is to find my wincons, like [[approach of the second sun]] or [[mechanized production]] but if all else fails I do have a lot of creatures that make tokens or get stronger with card draw.
for people that use mdfc lands, do you use them to replace a land slot or card slot?
Lands
Especially since mh3 made a lot of untapped ones
As long as the total number is between 35-39 I'm happy
Hey all! Wanna build a [[Sisay, Weatherlight Captain]] and [[Jegantha, the Wellspring]] deck and I want some cool legendary combo that I can search up. Anyone got any suggestions?
Legendary Creature — Elemental Elk
Companion — No card in your starting deck has more than one of the same mana symbol in its mana cost. (If this card is your chosen companion, you may put it into your hand from outside the game for
as a sorcery.)
: Add

. This mana can't be spent to pay generic mana costs.

this guy had 700 decks like 2 months ago wtf happened
What in gods name
Hey y’all, I’m building my first ever cEDH deck and i would really appreciate it if i could get a couple of tips on how to maximize najeela. The lands are still a work in progress, but i mainly need opinions on cards and combos. Lmk what you think :)) https://archidekt.com/decks/9159648/najeela
I also still don’t have any moxs or artifacts like mana crypt or vault
brewing a Wall Control deck for modern, as im just thinking about something unique. Any tips on the manabase/spells?
Rendmaw, Creaking Nest - Commander / EDH deck
(1) Commander • (5) Instant • (37) Land • (2) abuse the fact that they black • (6) constellaiton/eerie • (5) draw • (6) fuckj you kys • (1) goad benefits • (7) good enchantment creatures • (5) kindred spells • (12) ramp • (3) regrowth • (6) when bird die me happy • (1) when bird etb me happy • (3)...
him
25% of the price is meathook
jaja
Taking some of this as inspiration
Yoink
feel free to add
id like more cards that can abuse the fact that the birds are black
i only found 2 or 3
Do you think you’d enjoy [[grismold]]
hate the art so fucking much
he is cool but
idk some arts are ugly, but its funny
hes just ugly
he comes down earlier, but i think rendmaw is just better, you can easily pump 3 or 4 triggers a turn, and if you dont have anything to abuse the birds atleast ur opponents are forced to beat each other with them
i was thinking of adding [[maha]] so that people couldn't block with regular creatures
Multiple cards match “maha”, can you be more specific?
[[maha, its feathers night]]
i wish rendmaw was in jund, he would be so much stronger
even just something like [[bedlam]] would be huge for him
I've been brewing this too, I like your list a lot, these might be worth considering for you
i dont like death tyrant he scawy 😖
the necron is fine 5 mana just seems like a lot idk, i have to look through the deck again because i forgot some obvious things like the mana myrs
artifact creature
yeah delete that
Consider:
Who cares about the other ability
You could also run [[baba lysaga]] for added card draw
So I guess rendmaw is gonna be enchantment creatures and artifact creatures for the main bulk of the deck
it’s a lot more niche than i expected
artifact creatures allows you to play more goodstuff and better things, but at that point just use a different commander
Anyone know good secret board wipes that dont affect equipped creatures? Does any even exist?
if you run one of the swords that gives protection from red, you could simply use red damage wipes
could alwys run a -1/-1 spell for X mana and make X lower than your equipped creature's toughness
[[kindred dominance]] and naming your equipped creature's type could also work
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/PkrDdY5IokmT-mSedQmtEQ
I tried my best on this ;-;. Criticism would be appreciated, thanks
I have the Blame Game precon, and i've already made a good number of upgrades. However I seem to be having trouble closing out games. I can get to the final two consistently but then the goad runs out and my board is normally a bit too small to deal with the last opponent. Any suggestions on a couple cards to add or take out?
https://archidekt.com/decks/9050253/mkc_blame_game
Any thoughts? I'm thinking this deck is looking pretty solid
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/iC7vnwMfaUO7Aq8I7XUjHg
mob rule or alexios or slicer
looks really cool, although id cut coat of arms and would consider a kinsbaile cavalier and a moonshaker cavalry
oh also paladin danse might be a good tech
so you can activate him, save yourself from a combat trick or something
It was an idea since I wanted to build a karlach related deck and the Templar knights effects during combat so essentially swing with the knights, tap them for their effect, activate karlach to restand them and possibly do it for another time
Thanks thought it be a decent idea since it has karlach and the Templar knights kinda work in synergy with what she goes around, not sure how powerful it is in the sense of casual or not but I play mostly casual or play with a casual mindset
ooks really cool, although id cut coat of arms and would consider a kinsbaile cavalier and a moonshaker cavalry
oh also paladin danse might be a good tech
so you can activate him, save yourself from a combat trick or something
yeah its really cool
I think it should be fine really
nothing offensive just cool shit
Have you playtested yet?
how did it go if yes
Haven't play tested yet
I see
maybe consider adeline as well?
she is a very strong human and pays off go wide
oh and greymond is an amazing finisher, and with templars statline double strike lifelink will be really nice for you
I'll have to consider these options when I get home from work thanks, sadly all I did was build it so other then just making proxies for majority of these cards or buying the cards outright without playtesting idk how tune this deck runs
I dont see any glaring issues besides ramp and spot removal maybe
Put some more removal spells only thing and probably cut coat of arms
If it’s mainly humans use door of destinies naming humans
Or use mirror box so your guys get +1 for every other card named the same
Swords to plow
Path to exile
That one that targets any permanent and gives them 3/3 creature instead .
Wrath of the skies
Orams chant
Maybe grand abolisher so you don’t have to worry about counter spells.
Teferis protection to save u from board wipes
And dying
Okay I'll tinker around with the build when I get home tonight and let yall know when I get it updated
But minus the suggestions is this casual?
Here I tweaked it for u
It's fine it's good 6-7
Maybe 7.5 if newer players
You can't just win turn 4 or 5
Yah even with my swaps it's fine
Just allows you a few more answers to people's scary stuff
And stops interaction on your turn
Grand abolisher is also human so works with the theme
2 cost great card for most white decks
That's good, kinda want to play games if I win I win
Exactly cedh decks threaten to win on turn 3 and on some can win turn one.
Your deck is good not cedh level it should be fine playing with casual groups
Yay
Anybody have some feedback on this? Tried building a mono green landfall deck but it's just not working https://www.archidekt.com/decks/9158987/ashaya
This looks like it'll be fun when I get it finished
So I'm grabbing jump scare and I'm wondering if there's another simic precon deck I can smash together with it ,
Or which would be best
Explorers of the deep?
Or reap the tides
buy singles, between those two reap the tides but just because u dgaf about merfolk and aesi is crazy
but then youd be paying $100 for an aesi
Yah no
Doesn’t Aesi come in jump scare?
Next question than would be what are must adds to jump scare should I go the land fall route? Or focus on flip cards
Or 50/50 of both
Would nadu be good in the deck?
on behalf of everyone please do not put nadu in any deck
Do y’all have any recommendations for a [[birgi, god]] deck? The theme isn’t spellslinger nor storm, BUT around her flavor text. She’s telling a story to “make all Kaldheim tremble” so I want to base the deck around powerful but flavorful cards that give the notion of a great calamity.
Legendary Creature — God
Whenever you cast a spell, add
. Until end of turn, you don't lose this mana as steps and phases end.
Creatures you control can boast twice during each of your turns rather than once.
"This is a tale to make all Kaldheim tremble..."
3/3
Harnfel, Horn of Bounty

Legendary Artifact
Discard a card: Exile the top two cards of your library. You may play those cards this turn.
Like her well of stories, Birgi's horn never runs dry.
Being made more for fun rather than pure ability to win. A combo or two isn’t totally unwelcome though. Right now I have [[drakuseth maw of flames]] in and potentially [[total war]]
[[drakuseth maw]] [[total war]]
ANy better viking themed/art equipments or maybe better equipments i should have? https://www.moxfield.com/decks/1yzGnh_MfUGsHYI1n-Ewcw
[[Durnan of the Yawning Portal]] with
[[Passionate Archaeologist]] or [[Guild Artisan]]?
Legendary Creature — Human Warrior
Whenever Durnan attacks, look at the top four cards of your library. You may exile a creature card from among them. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order. For as long as that card remains exiled, you may cast it. That spell has undaunted. (It costs
less to cast for each opponent.)
Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
3/3
Legendary Enchantment — Background
Commander creatures you own have "Whenever this creature attacks a player, if no opponent has more life than that player, you create two Treasure tokens." (They're artifacts with "
, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color.")
Your discerning eye for value makes you nearly impossible to swindle.
Assuming you wanna stick to gruul?
[[Tavern brawler]] ain't bad
Legendary Enchantment — Background
Commander creatures you own have "At the beginning of your upkeep, exile the top card of your library. This creature gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is that card's mana value. You may play that card this turn."
The only thing you love more than a good drink is a good fight. Luckily, one usually follows the other.
But according edhrec the passionate Archaeologist is the most popular one for him
Which makes sense so I'd stick to that one
that one is dumb LOL
but in a good way
oh really? i thought the guild artisan wouldve been better since ur swinging every turn
No the fact your exiling stuff every attack than casting it triggers the background super easy for good spot removal
true true
The next popular one, which is a HUGE difference as Archaeologist has 900 decks and the next one only has 172, is [[agent of the shadow thieves]]
Legendary Enchantment — Background
Commander creatures you own have "Whenever this creature attacks a player, if no opponent has more life than that player, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature. It gains deathtouch and indestructible until end of turn."
Your skill, dexterity, and moral flexibility make you a valuable asset to your guild.
yeah i saw that one too, which just seems nice to keep the commander around
but i think id rather gruul for extra combat tricks?
Ye
yep yep
alr alr, thanks man!
Welcome
WAIT GOD DAMN ITS 16 DOLLARS
Well the rest can be
If you have to go spending stuff might as well be the commander itself
true true
For example you can build a powerful budge [[edgar markov]] with cheap Vampires or blood token stuff even if the commander is over $100
has that exact deck and spend only spent $25 on him back in 2018
I'm still trying to find a fun background commander
DAMN
Hama Pashar
jk thats solitare simulator
ohhh, i havent played an equipment deck yet
Why im debating [[karlach]] [[sword coast sailor]]
Legendary Creature — Tiefling Barbarian
Whenever you attack, if it's the first combat phase of the turn, untap all attacking creatures. They gain first strike until end of turn. After this phase, there is an additional combat phase.
Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
5/4
I have a themed one I been fine tuning. Wanna see it?
oh thats gross
i love it
sure!
yes I own all those cards
No proxys for me lol
Have any suggestions for background commander combos? [[Folk hero]] just looks like value fun but not sure who it be good to pair with
Maybe azoris dragon shenanigans with [[renari]] ?
Funny enough human tribal [[durnan]] could work
Legendary Creature — Human Warrior
Whenever Durnan attacks, look at the top four cards of your library. You may exile a creature card from among them. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order. For as long as that card remains exiled, you may cast it. That spell has undaunted. (It costs
less to cast for each opponent.)
Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
3/3
yeah i was thinking ba that same combo with durnan
dragon synergerrs are always good too
I keep going back to the unexpected equipments and low key hot [[karlach]] [[sword coast sailor]]
Legendary Creature — Tiefling Barbarian
Whenever you attack, if it's the first combat phase of the turn, untap all attacking creatures. They gain first strike until end of turn. After this phase, there is an additional combat phase.
Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
5/4
Lol
what about [[Burakos]]
Legendary Creature — Orc
Burakos, Party Leader is also a Cleric, Rogue, Warrior, and Wizard.
Whenever Burakos attacks, defending player loses X life and you create X Treasure tokens, where X is the number of creatures in your party.
Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
2/4
or [[Ganax]]
For [[folk hero]] ?
Burko is the precon combo and wayyy too popular for my taste
Boros dragons maybe interesting
yea for folk hero
fair enough, i think dragons is def the best for folk hero
Gives some value to the already arguably best creature type in mtg
Wish they gave the same love yo phoenixs
yeah dragons always have the nuts LOL
Even the new hawk dragon is goated
[[Baeloth]] and [[noble heritage]] just seems grossly fun
Legendary Creature — Elf Shaman
Creatures your opponents control with power less than Baeloth Barrityl's power are goaded. (They attack each combat if able and attack a player other than you if able.)
Whenever a goaded attacking or blocking creature dies, you create a Treasure token.
Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
2/5
Legendary Enchantment — Background
Commander creatures you own have "When this creature enters and at the beginning of your upkeep, each player may put two +1/+1 counters on a creature they control. For each opponent who does, you gain protection from that player until your next turn." (You can't be targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by anything controlled by that player.)
Oh that’s so good
With the added challenge of boros my fav colors lol
W
That seems super fun tho, would you make it a stax deck or maybe a pseudo voltron?
That I'm not sure
Never been huge into stax decks and there's plenty of voltron decks I have. Hm...honestly not sure
Hi everybody,
I would like to hear your ideas and recommendations for my Osgir, the Reconstructor deck.
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/OsAJ_WIgPEq5HZH18-0nnw
I want to play this deck on a table ideally level 6/7, maximum 8. I don't want to play infinite combos, but rather win through commander and creature damage.
So far, I have 107 cards in the deck, because I have had a hard time removing cards. If you have any suggestions as to what cards could be removed or added (because I'm missing an important piece in the deck), I would greatly appreciate your help. I'm not on a budget, but I also prefer not to pay more than 10-15 euros for a card (I'm talking to you, Teferi's Protection).
Thank you in advance for your response and support ❤️
Just finished a casual spellslinger deck
can i get some help on some cuts? I'm completely lost on what to cut at this point
i mean id drop like 20 creatures
at minimum
you have al ot of high cost creatures too and access to green so maybe more ramp spells?
and all of your sorceries just do what your commander does anyways
0 interaction
cut some creatures
thats all
def not 20, the ideal is to have 40 creatures
so im hitting off my commander 80% of the time
i have 20 pieces of ramp
and more ramp spells causes more whiffs with my commander
its a really tricky balancing act
impulse isnt ramp
?
also with 30 + creatures lookint top 4 is still a really high chance
these are all my ramp pieces
notice how ramp is its own category
you do waht you want
im just giving my opinion
drop creatures to cut cards
but you do what you want
also you have 53 right now
at 53 you will on average draw 2 or more creatures in his attack
yeah, like i said the goal is to kick it down to 40 creatures, that gives me an 87% chance to hit a creature every 4 drops
okay well you have a lot of access to haste tuktuk rubblefort could go
how much counters do you make? if its not a lot you can remove hiveguard and heiro
Yeah heiro can def go, and wym hiveguard
Tyrant guard? He’s just there to give protection
only to creatures with counters
Ur right completely missed that
bloodbraid can probably go
cascade is nice but a lot of your deck is above its cmc
and you probably wont be escaping that often
Yeah true
champion of lambholt is a great card but its better on go wide and will be playing at most 1 or two creatures a turn
its better in token decks
p[lus you have a lot of big beaters
Also I think tuktuk is a keep because the goal is to play it before my commander, I have 5 haste givers that I can play before my commander so the goal is to try to draw into one of those
Yeah it’s one of those weird things where it’s there jsut to let my commander not die
then drop perogative
ashlings isnt great for this deck
and from experience it hurts you a lot
I’m making it budget so the goal was just to try and let not a ton of blocks happen on them so even if champion gets to 4 power it’s fine
you can use protection spells instead and you have a lot of targets for removal so
lambholt isnt a good enough threat
Yeah true true
lots of impulse chaos channel needs to attack AND its not a great card for its mana cost
you would rather run that ogre that gives treasures if you want an attack benefit
Yeah trying to figure out what impulse cards I wanted to drop has been tricky
Which one?
let me find the name
Hoarding ogre
But the reason for all the impulse is that it’s a pseudo mid range that also wins through just casting a lot of spells from exile into my background, and into other spells that have effects when casting from somewhere other than my hand
yeah but you already have a LOT of impulse
your entire sorcery base and a third of your instants
plus multiple creatures
and enchants
13 pieces I’m pretty sure?
Actually some of the creatures prob do multiple
Impulse plus midrange etc
That might be why I’m not seeing as much
I have everything with tags
My original goal with this deck was for it to be a storm deck, so it was loaded with impulse, but I changed it and there might be some pieces dangling somewhere that I don’t see
anyays thats all i have
Alr alr, appreciate the feedback
oh and
since its red and green why not etali primal conq
its a little weaker than other etali due to its enters and not attack change but
the other half is a problem
especially if you plan on having a lot of mana
budget deck is why LOL
ah
on moxfield it says its 150
mhm i do to
im not mostly because i use archidekt
yeah that might be why
also does that specifically choose tcg
or just cheapest printing throughout many stores
oh yeah it is quite cheap
uhhh i think its cheapest printings of all sets through tcg
though at the same time do you sleep and box them?
sleep and box?
Legendary Enchantment Creature — God
Indestructible
As long as your devotion to green is less than five, Nylea isn't a creature.
Creature spells you cast cost
less to cast.

: Reveal the top card of your library. If it's a creature card, put it into your hand. Otherwise, you may put it into your graveyard.
5/6
ohh maybe maybe
indestructible
replace one of your reducers
i think there is a creature around her cost that is just creatures cost 1 less
in the list
hes recursion though
the only other one would be [[goreclaw, terror of qal sisma]]
Golbin Archaeomancer?
yeah she costs more mana but is harder to remove
and gives more draw access technically
true
plus you can attack with her if yoru devotion is higher enough
so shes not just an easier to remove aura
idk if you are interested but you can also remove a big beater for spearbreaker behemoth
it gives indestructible for 1 to creatures with power 5 or greature
[[spearbreaker behemoth]]
or just flat out [[stonehoof chieftan]]
instead of ankeg
though ankeg gives ward
but most people are just going to board wipe your board since hard removal wont do that much against that many big creatures
yeah thatd be good
also techincally [[hajar]] if you want creatures and protection for your commander
he just risks showing up in cascade
true, but i think id rather that over an instant that does the same thing
well thats what i thought from seeing your plan
you have mostly creatures that do effects spells do
hes not hive tyrant but
he protects what you specifically want to keep
yep yep
or w/e
tyrant guard
idk man i play actual 40k and back when they came out they had a different name
then they made a new one
thats why i say the name wrong
on the other side of things i love the idea with iraxxa and flmaing tyranno
faldorn
ohhh lol
i was wondering
true true
[[rootbound crag]]
as well
and you can run cycle lands though you konw they are just w/e
you have plenty of available draw
wdym w/e?
[[tranquil thicket]] [[baren moor]] [[smoldering crater]]
w/e as in whatever
ohh gotcha
whenever i try to budget decks i always like to treat myself to one or two powercards though
like this
would be cheaper but i put [[sea gate restoration]] and [[kindred discovery]]
Sorcery
Draw cards equal to the number of cards in your hand plus one. You have no maximum hand size for the rest of the game.
"We have much to remember ... and much we can never forget." —Tazri
Sea Gate, Reborn
Land
As Sea Gate, Reborn enters, you may pay 3 life. If you don't, it enters tapped.
: Add
.
"We carry on the legacy of those who defended our world by continuing to unearth its secrets." —Tazri
etc
yeah thats fair, for me its just i dont feel comfortable spending a lot of money on cards, my decks before have been fully proxies or i just play online cuz i dont feel comfortable spending money on such
i feel that way after a certain price
thought i cant really afford commander anymore
fair enough
Any suggestions for a Jetmir deck?
Anyone have good creatures in boros that would love being equipped by mostly legendary equipments? Fiddling around with a go wide equipments with [[kassandra]] and want some good attacking creatures. Already have some fan favs like [[champion of flame]] [[swiftblade vindicator]] and even the newish [[bladegraft aspirant]] but want more good ones to bump up the attacking creature count as most are support
Legendary Creature — Human Assassin Warrior
Haste
When Kassandra enters, search your graveyard, hand, and library for a card named The Spear of Leonidas, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle.
Whenever a creature you control with a legendary Equipment attached to it deals combat damage to a player, draw a card.
2/2
What should I take out to put [[smothering tithe]] in?
looking for some feedback on this. my first attempt of a legit kindred deck
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/XJ3SMUpcp0iwzrrds-uQrQ
was wondering if anyone could take a lil look at my victor deck, at least if there’s any glaring issues
Don’t see anything glaring, this looks like a really fun build
issues i’m personally foreseeing are wincons and draw, so i tried to up both a bit
i have all that glitters and similar for commander damage, syr konrad for graveyard payoffs, and then i think a third is just reanimating other graveyards
I think those are all viable especially if you are able to get your greater auramancy out
I have a mardu enchantment deck and one wincon I added was pariah attached to either merit lage from dark depths or another indestructible because it’s hard to remove and makes you basically invincible
oh interesting!
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/hPf4gr06GUGDx3FRkLJyDg
I think it’s time to pull the trigger and just build it
I feel like it’s a bit too much interaction but hey
And ezuri is kinda meh
https://archidekt.com/decks/9297000/let_er_rip if y'all wanna see this mess of a deck
@nimble vine
ignore this
gotcha lol
[[starlight spectacular]]
Enchantment
Parade! — At the beginning of combat on your turn, choose creatures you control one at a time until each creature you control has been chosen. Each of those creatures gets +1/+1 until end of turn for each creature chosen before it. (Places everyone! The first creature in line gets +0/+0.)
I was actually considering Starlight Spectacular, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to increase the density of enchantments in the deck
But I'll keep it in mind!
whats the budget out of curiosity
Preferably under 80-90 dollars in theory, I think 25% of my deck is stuff I have from prerelease and wanted to use that makes it easier (and the price misleading on the site) but I want to lean towards financially cheaper things that can still either pack a punch or be cool additions to consider
I think that's what I want anyways, I'm not the best at explaining this stuff lol
I'm looking for a direction for [[the wandering rescuer]] as a commander. I've waited a long time to play my queen as a legit commander and i'm getting no ideas other than voltron / human shenanigans. Any ideas would be awesome 'w ')7 (a casual pl 7 deck would be ideal.)
Why not a mono white convoke deck?
Idk why i got told it was pure dog water before in my old pod, maybe i'll give some convoke cards a look at on edhrec
Convoke got some support
Also, super biased but I like human things
Yeah im checking some convoke things, [[wand of the worldsoul]] is 100% included, one of my new fav cards lol
Humans are cool, i was wondering if mono white can do some sort of interactive deck. already have a few human decks
Im gutting [[eight-and-a-half tails]] for wanderer
you can do fountain shenanigans
I think token sub theme would work
This is based
this is where im at right now, getting lots of cathars kind of cards in, token gen and a few more pet angels and it should be alright i hope
theres new duskmourne humans that like being tapped
@Mittens https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Im6Mos7T_Eibgxo1RtEmDQ
This is the list of the cards that I have purchase but feel free to suggest, cutting down
@queen path
Taking a look
ty my friend
[[Rattleback apothecary]] is more fragile than lifelink equipment for minimal upside
[[Sin prodder]] is on average .9 damage per opponent per turn cycle which is pretty meh at the cmc, cards like [[thermo alchemist]] deal more damage for less setup
The deck doesnt run enough haste enablers to reliably pop [[heartless hidetsugu]] id consider more protection/recursion for your commander instead to keep the pings going
Never been a fan of [[combustible gearhulk]], here its 6 mana deal ~8 on average, or 6 mana draw 3, both of which are below par rates and your opponent decides
Angraths marauders is just every damage increase enchantment but more fragile cause its a creature
Nice interaction package, might i suggest [[soul shatter]] as a very hard to avoid aoe removal card
Id also encourage big score/unexpected windfall as they synergize with the commanders first spell trigger, on the topic [[double visions]] plays very nicely with the commanders instants synergies
good point on the rattleback but rn its a filler for the $30 spear until I end up getting that
Good point on sin prodder
Do you think I should run swifties and maybe some more haste related things? At the moment im running 6 instant speed spells and lgreaves
TBH gearfulk is a card I kinda just wanna figure out what it plays like irl
Yeah angraths is effectively redundancy atm
do you think I should add more draw? since you mentioned the spells
The deck doesnt particularly synergize with haste so id rather cut the haste payoff than add more haste enablers
I did not check how much draw the deck has, as i was more looking at individual cards, I should do that when i have more time
haste payoff? you mean hidetsugu?
Yeah
ah I see
So for cuts you said sin, hidetsugu, angraths, gearhulk and thats it right?
oh and rattle
For now
Obviously there are more ways to tweak/tune but these 5 stood out
ty king
hey yall, im building [[lord of pain]] and Im trying to add more incidental damage in medium to large quantities to payoff damage doublers, any suggestions?
Shot in the dark, why not go samurai?
Tapped hexproof mono white samurai seems neat
Not necessarily good mind you
that was the initial idea, full kamigawa themed deck with samurai and nobles... they are kinda bad though with thicc costs for nothing good... oh my bad, bushido 1 😭 can always give it a look at again
Oy boy bushido 1....
Your 6 mana 3/3 becomes a 4/4!!!
Idk this wanderer screams member of the 99 more than commander to me
ok am i crazy but a flash good creature that saves ur shit from removal seems pretty good
i feel like the thing is moreso ensuring your creature density is sufficient
How can I make my welve deck better
Building simic. What do you believe has better draw potential: creature based, spellslinger, enchantress?
creature based in simic
Looking for help replacing [[Hellkite Igniter]] and [[Warmonger Hellkite]] in a mono-red goodstuff deck.
The commander doesn't matter; it's Brothers Yamazaki. Think of the commander as symbolic.
Creature — Dragon
Flying
All creatures attack each combat if able.

: Attacking creatures get +1/+0 until end of turn.
Its wings beat to the howls of war and fan the fires of rage.
5/5
Got a budget? [[Goldspan Dragon]] [[Terror of the Peaks]] [[Atsushi, the Blazing Sky]]
[[Bonehoard Dracosaur]]
I could go on lol
I really like terror of the peaks (someone else suggested it in another server).
No budget. These are kind of my pet project decks.
$40 for two terrors is fine, and they're alternate art which is perfect!
Someone else recommended [[Leyline Tyrant]] which seems great. I think it's between Leyline, Terror, and Goldspan.
If you want to name drop more, please do go on.
Well those are all my suggestions and my “go on” was assuming a budget. [[Etali, Primal Storm]] [[Ancient Copper Dragon]] …. Eldrazi, take your pick… [[Kazuul]]
Multiple cards match “Kazuul”, can you be more specific?
[[Kazuul, tyrant of the cliffs]]
[[Flaming Tyrannosaurus]]
Looking to build an undercover artifact commander. I tried to make an ashnod flesh mechanist but it didn't really work out and now I'm kind of obsessed with building an artifact deck with a commander that doesn't scream artifacts. Hope that makes sense
Any equipment or vehicles decks will inherently be artifact decks as well?
I'd also be interested to see your Ashnod deck that didn't work out given that I'm actively brewing them rn haha:
Here was my decklist. It did the thing and made power Stones but never had a way to really win. I saw yours leans more into Voltron which might have been the route to go. I also misunderstood thinking power Stones could pay commander tax and people eventually just took the hit and killed her because eventually she's too expensive to pay for. I actually pivoted into a flamewar deck and running into a similar issue
IDK if it counts as brewing, but my girlfriend is a big fan of Beetlejuice, and I was thinking of making her a deck themed around him, with a custom version of the commander as Beetlejuice himself, what do you think would be the most thematic commander for that? I'm between Karador and the version of Winter from the Duskmorn precons. (Feel free to @ me, I'm probably going to bed soon
Would require rule zero but they printed beetlejuice
Nitpicking Nerds did a fun one where NerdGirl had [[!Winter, Misanthropic Guide]] as her commander they Ruled 0 allowing her like 20 copies of Say Its Name
[[!Winter Misanthropic Guide]]
I saw this guy, I think he's pretty cool but I forgot to mention that it's her first deck, I'm not sure if I want to have her first deck have a rule 0 thing. I'm kind of shocked that they didn't put in a printed exception for Say It's Name, though, that's probably an oversight of some kind
Hi! I'm looking for interesting resource loops that work under [[Lurrus of the Dream-Den]] restriction in esper color for [[Tawnos, Solemn Survivor]]. Stuff that would allow me to repeatable accrue some form of advantage like looping removal pieces or drawing cards, so I can outvalue 3 other players
3/2
Legendary Creature — Human Artificer
,
: Create a token that's a copy of up to one target artifact token you control. Mill two cards.

,
, Sacrifice two artifact tokens, Exile an artifact or creature card from your graveyard: Create a token that's a copy of the exiled card, except it's an artifact in addition to its other types. Activate only as a sorcery.
1/3
hey all, i am upgrading jump scare, how do you feel about [[walk-in closet/forgotten cellar]] for it?
Enchantment — Room
(You may cast either half. That door unlocks on the battlefield. As a sorcery, you may pay the mana cost of a locked door to unlock it.)
You may play lands from your graveyard.
Forgotten Cellar

Enchantment — Room
(You may cast either half. That door unlocks on the battlefield. As a sorcery, you may pay the mana cost of a locked door to unlock it.)
When you unlock this door, you may cast spells from your graveyard this turn, and if a card would be put into your graveyard from anywhere this turn, exile it instead.
Pretty great, even if just for the left side
what would you remove?\
[[retreat to coralhelm]]?
Do you just have the base list currently?
no
ive added a few cards
but basically i removed most of the clearly bad things
like the biomass,, the kefnet, cakling counterpart, zimmone's hypothesis, oversimplify, deathmist raptor, sandwurm convergence
So, [[Niv-Mizzet, Guildpact]]. Is it better to stick to 4 or 5 color pairs for consistency or go for value with all 10 guilds in the deck?
Legendary Creature — Dragon Avatar
Flying, hexproof from multicolored
Whenever Niv-Mizzet, Guildpact deals combat damage to a player, it deals X damage to any target, target player draws X cards, and you gain X life, where X is the number of different color pairs among permanents you control that are exactly two colors.
6/6
i wouldnt place a blanket rule as much as Id focus on running the color pair payoffs
IIRC for example I think a good amount are in boros
I guess my concern is my mana base and figuring out my "main colors"
Selesnya feels like a mandatory focus
Boros has some cool cards, but I'm not convinced.
Gruul is very good at pushing Niv through blockers.
Simic is mainly fixing my mana, but most green pairs can do a good job of that. Might be a weaker pair in the deck...
Golgari gives the deck some graveyard play
Izzet is decent for evasion, but Niv already has flying. The card draw is decent, but clunky in guild colors. The best card draw is monoblue.
Rakdos sadly does almost nothing for the deck.
Same for Azorius, really.
are you doing goodstuff in two colors or like
duo payoff
if goodstuffyou can kind just go down the list in edhrec and focus on rainbow lands
if duo build then look at mana requirements and build a manabase ofd that
I want to consistently have >3 as my X for Niv's trigger.
both goodstuff and duo color can do that
I suppose Im saying like
is this going to be like jodah legends or like
running shit like general rokirric
I'm debating between using all the different guilds or just focusing on 4
you gotta wip list?
Sort of
I keep setting Jegantha as companion
Yeah, the idea was that all the effects should play into roughly the same plan, and Niv is the plan anyway so why not focus on that
I see why my questions felt off this is neither legends or duo or goodstuff
ok let me think
I honestly don't even know if this concept is better than just throwing in all the guilds and hoping I have 4 or more represented on my swing.
Budget? but I think its a cool idea I just think some of the current choices are off like qasali pridemage and samwise
like I like stuff that youre running based around niv triggers
No budget. I proxy stuff if I really want it in paper.
awesome
Some of this made the list just because I thought it looked helpful while I was scrolling through the highest ranked cards in selesnya
gotcha
im gonna shower since I just got home but could you ping me in about an hour
im gonna try to duplicate deck to suggest some stuff
Sure
I worked on it a little.
cutting cards rn
done cutting, adding suggestions
sigarda host of herons breaks jegantha I believe
gonna cut it
but I think its cool
I didn't notice that
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Tfi1G3myxECGw-WpdPlOvw created a fairy flash control deck thoughts on it
Is there a budget?
Ok its not optimized for vegetables but I added the cards I think you should be running and cut the ones I think are not good
Is Niv Reborn good?
I mean, it is sort of look at 10 draw 2-3, which isn't bad...
I kind of wrote him off in this list because I was leaning heavy green and most of my cards are the green guilds, so I thought there would be some awkward overlap.
kinda nothing to crazy
would it be consider budget as it is
Kind of. Faeries can be sneaky expensive though. Mainly it keeps me from suggesting stuff like Rhystic Study and Cyclonic Rift
I own like most of these cards I will say
even most of the expensive ones with the exception of kindred discovery
I was a little concerned because you have a lot of creatures and not that many instants, but there's a lot of flash in there, so you should be good on that front.
Yeah i was trying to keep up with the 30 creature minimum
that I've heard is the golden rule of thumb for deck building
Something like that. It will depend on what the deck is doing too.
yeah makes sense
You could probably afford to go lower if you wanted to, since your commander is making tokens
yeah any recommend cuts?
I'm pretty good with adds but cut are where I struggle with
I'm gonna add more cheap instant or anthems
which should I add more of?
Eluge seems hard to cast and irrelevant to the overall plan.
Emrakul's Messenger is a little underwhelming
ok
Nymris is expensive for it's effect I think.
Shadow Puppeteers is also very expensive. The effect is strong, but I don't know if it's worth the break from your main strategy
shadow puppeteers has won me a lot of game ngl. that and notorious throng
fairy are to small to do a lot I feel
Your game winning spells don't necessarily need to be Faeries, but if you like the card keep it in for sure.

. (To mill a card, put the top card of your library into your graveyard.)
