That's actually true, and what they mean by that, or what I did understand from that, is that social media has pros and cons. For everyone using it, it might be harmful at a young age but could also be useful, as anyone can learn a new language from social media or even discover the world with one click. But yeah, as for its cons, there are a lot, and anyone could easily get addicted to social media, and that's just wrong and sad.

I think its got its pros and cons but most people would use social media and mostly be influenced by the cons. Echo chambers, pointless arguing, mindless scrolling, addictiveness is what I believe has affected many people. I also don't liek apps like duolingo fully. It tries to tell you its better than social media but Ive seen people care more about that app than real life real fast.

i strongly agree with this, it has many distractions which i myself use regularly but it can still lead to bad things happening even if it is used as a distraction

It can also be a job for many, I think we should understand social media is also a business not a tool of entertainment and social gathering. It supports media such as News websites, ads developers, game developers I think of it as a opportunity for many.

I agree that social media can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, it can connect people, facilitate communication, and provide a platform for self-expression. On the other hand, it can also lead to issues like addiction, misinformation, privacy concerns, and negative effects on mental health. It depends on how it's used and the impact it has on individuals and society.
